I am a Wheelchair user I have been receiving treatment from Amanda for about one year. At first was very nervous, about having Acupuncture again. When I met Amanda for the first time she was so understanding, caring and knowledgeable. I have Cerebral Palsy Diplegia it affects my muscle control, coordination and tone, reflexes, posture and balance. It mainly affects both my legs and circulation in my feet. Over the past year Amanda has worked miracles on the stiffness in my neck and the circulation in my feet. Along with with my positive mind set and active lifestyle. After being diagnosed with a condition my doctors were quite slow to prescribe anything for I did my own research into alternative options and found acupuncture was good for this particular condition. I was a bit reluctant about the concept and purposefully sought out a female practitioner. After my initial consultation I knew I had no reason to be doubtful on the benefits of acupuncture. Amanda was so thorough, honest and educated it was impossible not to be totally impressed by her knowledge! Amanda also looked at my diet which was causing serious bloating but because I considered myself ‘healthy’ I thought it was just a woman thing. Amanda has made so many helpful suggestions to my diet which have not only helped with the side effects on my condition but have resulted in me feeling much better in myself and I've lost half a stone without really trying. I trust Amanda wholeheartedly and can’t recommend her enough.

I am 75 years old and I have moved to Bristol recently. As I take many medicines to help with heart and arthritis problems on a regular basis, I decided to try acupuncture to further alleviate the aches and pains in my legs and neck. I contacted Amanda Watson who lives locally and she started treating me about 4 months ago; I attend one session a week at her house where she has a special room set up for treatment. Apart from administering to some long-standing ailments such as tendonitis in my right leg and a swollen left foot, I asked her to look at the fact that I have been a hay fever sufferer for the best part of 55 years. She did so and the initial effects were dramatic. Itchiness in the eyes was greatly reduced, I stopped sneezing almost altogether and I now do not have to take any anti-histamine tablets each day. It really has made a big difference to my life. As a mother of a large family, Amanda Watson is a practical person, tells it as it is and she really does care about her patients’ welfare as she offers advice on a range of health issues. I sprained my ankle 6 months before trying acupuncture. My mum suggested I try it after her finding it helpful. I had reached a point where my ankle seemed to be at a stand still, nothing I did helped. I had this sensation and sharp pain in my ankle, I was struggling to do my physio exercises and daily life. I don't like needles but thought I would give it a go. I felt nervous but Amanda was very reassuring, and explained everything. I feared the acupuncture would hurt but it doesn't, you barely feel it, if at all. I came away from my first session not knowing what to expect, I quickly realised things felt different, my ankle felt eased. I went into work after and realised I no longer had the sensation in my ankle. If I'm honest I couldn't believe it. I have continued to have a further sessions and I'm finding with every session my ankle and back is feeling more better. The sensation I was feeling has not come back. I would recommend giving acupuncture a try, with every passing week I'm able to do more and feel more like myself again. Amanda has a caring and understanding nature, is professional and easy to talk I would definitely recommend her.
