y.I've been a patient here for many years and my comments are a mixture of good and bad. I suppose that compared to most surgeries in terms of getting appointments it's better than most. My experience of the doctors is mixed - some have been incredibly helpful and kind, but others not so much. I avoid one doctor because they have been repeatedly rude to me, and I've no idea why, as I try to be polite to them, aware as I am how stressful their job can be. I'm not someone who is always bothering the doctor with minor ailments - I go on average about once a year. However, to be greeted by a doctor after explaining my condition with, 'And what do you expect me to do about it?' is a little discouraging. A switch to another doctor and an immediate emergency referral to the hospital solved the problem. Receptionists are also inconsistent in their attitude and degree of helpfulness - some are very friendly and helpful, others not so.
p. s.Always been a great doctors experience for me one doctor in particular (Dr p doyle) saved my life when I contacted tuberculosis a few years ago now so no bad news about this surgery very pleased with this surgery keep up the great work everyone thankyou...

M.Never thought I would review my GP, but seeing the negative feedback I felt I should balance the scales. in over twenty years I have always found the reception staff to be courteous and helpful (much better other places). I have found the doctors to be patient (pardon the pun) helpful and not quick to throw you some pills and send you away. Getting appointments quickly can be difficult at times but nothing like the horror stories I read about elsewhere. I am very satisfied with the service they provide.
d.Very comforting service. Great reception in a peaceful environment with kids toys and area dedicated for kids to play with them while waiting. Doctors and nurses thorough in their checkup processes and friendly support.
L. O.It is hard writing a review about your local doctor surgery. I was thinking about what I needed from here and this is what I came up with. I want to be able to get an appointment when I need one and they accommodate this brilliantly. I can speak to a doctor if I need to, they arranged for a call back and the doctor called at the time they agreed.
I want any prescriptions to go automatically from the surgery to my local chemist for collection, they do this and it can be arranged on automatic re-order every 3 months which is very handy. You want a pleasant building and this does the job well and is modern, bright airy and has a car park at the back.
Yes the phone line can be a bit manic at 8am when it opens for emergency appointments, but any other doctors I have been too is the same. They do a decent job.
l. a. m.Nurses here have all been lovely, thorough and the GPs have been fine as well, there's always some that are better than others, and found Dr Cordwell-Smith particularly good as she actually listens and takes time to ask the right questions and gives you clear instructions about follow up.
K. “. G. T.Finally more than reading through the NHS booklet - I had very bad previous experience with other practice. Although Dr Wilson from Murrayfield Medical Centre is a born doctor - the patient is the main concern and recovery and successful therapy is more important than other things.
F.Can’t speak more highly of this practise - I’ve seen 3 different doctors they’ve all been absolutely lovely and gone extra mile with referrals etc - Ive always got an appointment that day if I call early in the morning
