Reviews of Woodland Medical Practice

I have been with Woodland's Medical Practice for over 20 years and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed in them. The receptionists have always been polite and the doctors always give you their time and you never feel rushed. When you leave they always make you feel that you have been listened to and this still happens now that appointments are mainly over the phone. I've just called the practice due to the hospital messing up a refferal and they couldn't be more helpful. Yes, appointments over run with the doctors but where doesn't this happen. They are obviously working hard to get through their patients. Would highly recommend this doctor surgery if you are moving into the area.

I recently moved to this practice and all I can say is what a breath of fresh air. I am quite a complex case when it comes to my health and have alot of issues/conditions etc but have always felt listened to and they always do the very best they can for me. Dr bailey, Dr Alvaro, Sam the nurse practitioner have all been so helpful and I couldn't wish for a better practice. They always have my best interest at heart. The reception staff have surprised me, they have always helped and always smile and I have not yet had anyone with an attitude towards me which is lovely. I really do rate this practice so if moving to the area definitely sign up here. Thankyou to all at woodland ❤️

I've been so impressed since moving my whole family to Woodland Medical Practice. We received forms straight away, after asking if they were taking on new patients. I then almost immediately needed to access a doctor. Phone appointment very quick and easy. Called by doctor on time. Needed a blood test so booked in really quickly. Follow up consultation on phone. No need to waste my time going in. Medication prescribed and waiting for me at the coop pharmacy. Very impressed. Further follow ups equally as simple and stress free. Then got a call for my son to have flu vaccine. Again quick, simple, no waiting. Excellent service. I'm not used to such 5* treatment. Really delighted so far. Thank you. I appreciate you all are front line staff and having to work in a constant state of change and with ridiculously tight budgets. Nevermind the horrendous challenges of Covid. Thought I'd speak out as one of your silent majority I suspect on this one after reading some random reviews.

One doctor has got every diagnosis wrong with my daughter and my partner, he also didnt check my c-section scar on my 6 week check up! He needs to be removed. I also sent them my maternity grant form to be signed, stamped and dated. They signed and dated it but did not stamp it. They also didnt ring me in time for me to hand it in so I couldn't claim. However, Vicky; the secretary was amazing. She was so helpful and very considerate, she wrote me a letter to send to DWP explaining why it was late. So overall the doctors surgery is awful but the one person stood out, thanks again Vicky!
*Edit*
After 5 months I got Dr Bailey, but this time for myself. He helped deal with my situation, quick and easily. However I didnt appreciate him questioning me on the review I previously left. Its my opinion and I was expressing how I felt at that moment in time. I will apologise for what was said previously and I would be happy to have Dr Bailey again. So thank you Dr Bailey! Also would like to thank Dr Salbi (sorry if thats spelt incorrectly) she has been brilliant, she seemed to really understand what I was going through.
Overall a good practice!

I really can't fault Woodland Medical Practice. Sometimes I have to wait, so what! We are lucky to have a free medical service in this country...... And honestly, we all should all be grateful, its so easy to complain. The staff are always helpful and the doctors and nurses polite and friendly.

The doctor was very polite and nice, the appointment went well, but the practice itself forgets to get in contact with you and you have to chace up referrals and prescriptions for yourself which causes things to take longer than necessary.

Some of the receptionists really need to ditch the attitudes whilst talking to patients on the phone.
