Since I joined Penny Lane surgery i have been impressed with the service I have received by gps, kind and considerate and veryhelpful. Unlike the rude receptionist that I get each time. I understand they are busy but she doesn't let you speak and ends conversation abruptly.

After reading some of the reviews I felt the need to respond. Listening to the comments from family and friends and their experiences from other surgeries and my own in the past. This is by far the best surgery I have ever come across. The staff are always willing to help. I have never had a problem getting an appointment on the same day. They have a very forward thinking attitude and are always adjusting their appointment system to suit patients needs. The doctors actually listen and always, in my experience, have a sympathetic attitude. Well done and keep up the great work!

This surgery is by far the most friendly and helpful one I have dealt with. The reception staff are kind and efficient and the GPs are so caring that it takes the worry out of visiting the GP. Special mention to Dr Mattocks whose compassionate attitude really put me at ease.

After reading some of the reviews, I felt I must respond. Penny Lane Surgery is a Fantastic Practice where you are treated courteously. Doctors discuss your care and give you as much information as possible in a way that is both reassuring and informative.. I have been a patient at this practice for many years and I am thrilled that the service is still first class, All the admin staff are polite and helpful & I could not recommend Penny Lane Practice more highly.

Phoned for an appointment at 8:00am on Monday 23rd November had telephone consultation with Dr Hamlet within 2 hours and then face to face appointment at 5:30pm the same day. The speed in which I was dealt with was great and after both appointments I was extremely happy with the care and treatment I received and I would just like to say thank you as it put my mind at ease and made me feel a lot more relaxed and comfortable in the circumstances. Posted a letter through their door last Sunday describing my recurrence of skin cancer requesting re referral to Broadgreen Dermatology. No response on Monday or Tuesday morning so phoned Practice Manager who knew nothing about it so went to look. It seemed it had not been opened. She told me the doctor would speak to me "tomortow". At 5.30 on Wednesday I received a call from one of the young clerks telling me to fill in a firm online. I did try but at 83 not too competent. I therefore have no access to my GP. No further comment is needed.

I have been with the surgery many years and it is in my opinion one of the best surgeries there are. The staff are very helpful, polite and cheerful, nothing is too much. The doctors are brilliant, sometimes the wait time could be a bit longer than I would like but at least I know the doctor I will see will be up to date with my heeds.

Medical and reception staff are all lovely. Outside of COVID19 it is great that there is a drop in service to see the gp three mornings per week. Hopefully this will come back in the new normal future.
