I had an appointment with Dr. Karim last week. She was extremely welcoming and had a lovely manner. She took the time to explain her advice thoroughly and was very supportive throughout the consultation. It was in fact the best consultation I have ever had; arranging the appointment was easy and I left feeling much better already. Since the appointment, I have had to contact the surgery and I heard back within a day. If anyone is looking for a GP surgery or thinking of moving, this is the best option as I cannot find one flaw with the service I have received!

My whole family has been registered with this surgery for past 17 years. Dr Perera and Dr Karim have always been extremely helpful to treat my wife who is a diabetic patient with many other health related problems and my 90 years old mum who is heart failure patient, high blood pressure and other old age-related problems. Both doctors are very kind and considerate, listen to our problem and try to find best solution. On the other hand both male and female nurses are also very polite, helpful and very professional. However, I feel that the surgery requires a few improvements to continue provide and maintain quality service to their patients. 1) It is extremely difficult to get hold of anyone on the phone because line is either constantly busy or no one pick up the phone when it rings. Before we could make appointment using “patient access” apps but this service has been withdrawn. Allowing patient use apps to book new appointment / manage their appointment will save a lot of time and hassle in making appointment. 2) I think patient to doctor ratio is not quite right because 15 years ago this surgery had 3 full time doctors and some part timer but patient numbers have increased gradually over the years and significant rise of patients number recently due to permanent closure of one of the nearby surgeries in Middleton Road. The patient number is now probably doubled compared to 15 years ago but unfortunately there are only now 2 doctors. Although both doctors are extremely helpful and try their best to help patient, but they are may be under a lot of pressure to deal with huge workload. I firmly believe that this surgery requires more doctors to maintain quality of service that they have been providing with for many years. 3) Blood test facility is only available to patient over the age of 65 but I think they should allow fasting diabetic patient to have their blood test done here. 4) Patient should be informed about test results by phone especially when there is something wrong. They used to offer this service before but now we have to chase up for the test result.

I've been with Arcadian Garden for more that 35 years now , Since Dr Pereira & Dr Karim came to the practice I've had great service from both the Doctors. During the pandemic I had to go for a operation Dr Pereira took care of all the paper needed and got the hospital to arrange the operation. what better service than that. Both the doctors take their time to assess you hence if you have to wait 5 minutes longer you know the reason why. Nurses are just as good and very professional at their job. reception staff do need to take a step and have bit more empathy, but saying that other Medical centres are 10 times worse.

Dr Karim is without a doubt the loveliest GP I’ve had in regards to mental health. I have a lot of varied mental health problems my whole life & frequent issues with GPS in the past not caring or taking me seriously. Great surgery with caring and compassionate staff. Dr Karim offered to see me before the opening time when they didn't have appointments available. One thing to fix though is the slow sign up process - my boyfriend couldn't get an appointment with severe asthma for several days after we moved so we ended up having to call for an ambulance one night (that was last June so might have changed since).

I have every confidence in the service I receive from both Dr Karim (female) and Dr Perera (male). They are true professionals, knowledgeable, efficient and exude warmth and understanding. It is reassuring that if you need to speak to Dr Karim you can ring the surgery at 8.00 am and she will ring you back that morning. The reception is well managed and I don't usually have to wait too long when phoning. Both GPs go the extra mile to help. I have no hesitation in recommending this Surgery.

Hi, before l moved in with arcadian surgery I was at 52 Middleton surgery for about 23 years they messed up my diabetes level l was always between 120 & 100 but since l moved in with arcadian surgery Dr Karim looked after me unbelievable she changed my medication in a matter of two years my diabetes level dropped to between 50 & 45 l am so grateful to have Dr Karim as my GP she always take her time to call me and bring in good news she's fantastic brilliant GP l always follow her advice God bless her It's a brilliant Sergey.

What an outstanding GP practice! Very organised, at the same time, friendly and patient-oriented. The receptionist staff are accommodating, professional and remain calm even in high-pressure situations. As a trainee Physician Associate, over the past five weeks, I witnessed on several occasions where the clinicians (both Dr's and Nurses) have gone above and beyond their duty of care to meet patients' expectations. It is a great joy and privilege to have the opportunity to learn from both Dr Perera and Dr Karim! Dr. Kharim is amazing: she listens to you, direct you further compare with other doctors who put a diagnosis without even listening to you. Fantastic surgery. I just moved to the area and coincidentally fell ill. Dr Karim was incredibly knowledgeable, extremely helpful and above all kind. I've been coming to this practice since I was born pretty much. Now at 28yrs old things have taken a turn for the better at the practice. Dr Karim and Dr Perera are very attentive and thorough. I had a certain issue that should have been referred or brought to attention to do with a lump near my breast several years ago but it was only Dr Perera who was thorough enough to refer me to UCL to have a biopsy. Dr Karim has been my primary GP the last year and she has been super patient and caring. We have recently as a family gone through a very stressful year. My father's physical and quite recently mental health has deteriorated,a she has been there throughout for my whole family. Even if an in person appointment isn't available with her, she makes the effort to talk to us over the phone about anything we may be concerned about. She has a very humane relationship with her patients and gives you a sense of understanding no matter what situation you present with in your appointment with her. As for other comments associated with reception staff and GPs that have been made on other reviews - gps and reception staff both are lovely as far as I'm concerned. If you yourself are straight forward and understanding with appointment proceedures they will work with you just as understandably. I also work in health care and when it comes to waiting times , things do run back as not every patient is the same. Different people have different ailments and communication limitations i.e language barriers therefore things can run over. The saturation of patients and the number of patients that come in and out of any type of healthcare practice is also a struggle for reception to handle as they are interacting with so many different people through the day , some of which I've witnessed can be confrontational and unfair at times. Something to think on before complaining about waiting times and reception staff .

This is by far the best the GP practise that I have been registered with. They are flexible, accommodating and take time with individual patients. Dr Karim is a brilliant GP and I warmly recommend her. Dr Perera has been wonderful with my youngest son taking time and referring him where needed. The practise has had a make over and now have an appointment app making it really easy for busy individuals to organise an appointment. The receptionist are helpful and friendly. Always impressed and grateful for the care received here - both for me and our children. As in many practices, getting an appointment can be hard because there is high demand, but the walk-in clinics help with that and even if there’s a wait, it feels worth it for the thorough (and often surprisingly smiley!) attention given. Probably helpful to update the website information about when to arrive for the walk-in clinics or when to call for on-the-day appointments as I think this has moved earlier and earlier because of the demand locally.

I have been with this GP since I was a child and I've never had any problems till recently. I called up requiring a tetanus vaccine and was told by the receptionist that she would check in with the nurse and advised to call back later. When calling back later I explained what I had said previously but to a different receptionist. However she still failed to understand, told me she didn't know what I was talking about and then said call back tomorrow bye. I thought this was incredibly rude and very unprofessional, this review doesn't reflect on the actual practitioners which I don't fault but the dealing of my experience with this particular individual.

I’ve been coming to this surgery for a very long time. I felt apprehensive every time there was a new doctor, but I must say I still feel very comfortable visiting g this surgery. Both dr Karim and dr perrera take care of their patients and advice you accordingly. I would also like to add... I have read a few negative reviews about this surgery, but when you check those people’s accounts they have only EVEr written negative reviews. I mean it’s just something to reflect on. The only reason I haven’t given 5 star for this place is, it’s impossible to get a quick appointment. Which obviously is frustrating- but that’s all surgeries for you.

Despite COVID preventing face to face consultations, Dr Perrera has been brilliant and is thorough in his consultations. Sometimes people say they feel their doctors don't take their concerns seriously and aren't thorough, but I feel my experience with Dr Perrera has been just the opposite.
