Reviews of Elizabeth Avenue Group Practice
J. M.
I recommend this surgery to anyone. I have just moved out of Islington. This practice has been my Doctors for the last 11 a half years. All the staff from the Receptionist to all the medical people nurses and doctors have all been very kind and helpful. If I needed a hospital appointment for one thing or another compared to my friends I seem to get the appointments much faster then them this is not a illusion it’s the truth. This surgery is the one thing I’m going to miss So I should like to say thanks you all for your excellent service. I wish you all good health for the future. Janis McLaren.
A special thanks to Dr Ian and to Sonia on reception.

I have always found the staff here incredibly helpful and attentive, from reception to nurses to GPs. When I was discharged from hospital they saw me the day after I was discharged and on a weekly basis afterwards to monitor me. More recently when I have completed the eConsult forms, the staff have been really fast to get back to me and I can normally speak to a GP the same day. I appreciate the pressure they must all be under currently and value everything they are doing.

I'm so sorry to read others have had negative experiences of the surgery.
For my part, I love the Elizabeth Avenue GP practice and really appreciate the efforts of all the staff I have come into contact with. I have always found the triage service brilliant. It did not exist in the GP practice I used to be at. Things were so much slower because of it.
I have definitely found the eConsult process an incredibly long-winded, time-consuming and therefore frustrating and off-putting one to be forced to use, especially compared with the days of phoning up for help.
However, my experience of reception, who recently responded to my prescription request by calling me up, and of my doctor who followed up with me by sms (via the Elizabeth Ave system) regarding a referral, has been beyond positive. The use of technology in this way has exceeded my expectations. I've been so grateful for all the communications and service I have received.
Thank you so much to the whole team for your consistent help over the last ten years while I've been registered with the Elizabeth Avenue GP Practice, and during these unprecedented times.

GPs and nurses are all very helpful, kind and professional. Agree that the receptionists aren't equally friendly at times.

Excellent approach towards the Health of the community , Brilliant GP / nurses and care assistants in a friendly atmosphere both children and adults . To book is not easy even before the start of the pandemic and until now that the system changed. Only the few receptions staff are playing the role of patient cares but some are not friendly over the phone when booking . Overall - the GPs are the Excellent and superb team who give the best shot for “”CARES” respectively.

Thank-you, Elizabeth Avenue team for your empathy and your professionalism. Whenever I have needed to ask for treatment or advice, I have been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Receptionist Bina is always rude and unhelpful which pulls your practice down as the rest of the staff are always helpful. She should be mindful how she speaks to people as it maybe urgent.

I have been with the surgery on and off for the last 30 years as I have moved around the Country. This is a fantastic small surgery which tries to accommodate its patients in whatever way is possible. When I have needed an emergency appointment and one has not been available I have been given a appointment close by at Laycock street or given a GP phone assessment. The receptionist are friendly and professional. The Dr are a mix of younger and more experienced practitioners who are highly knowledgeable and very attentive.

We have young twins, who have had a difficult time in the medical sense. They always make time to see them, pretty much immediately, if there's any concerns about their health. Sometimes you do need to wait a while, but that's par for the course in a medical setting as there may be someone who needs care more urgently than you at that moment.

They used to be great, but as someone suggested below, it's impossible to get an appointment these days! They've clearly over stretched their patients list...
