Unfortunately I have not had the same experience as other patients. It's been very difficult to get hold of anyone to book an appointment either through the app or over the phone. The app works 1 out of 5 times and when it does it's only for a few hours in the morning. I've called several times in the morning at 8am when they open and been on hold for 30min each time. Reception is a hit and miss, either really helpful or very rude.

I had fantastic service today from the surgery. I got in touch about some issues I was having with my COVID NHS travel pass and Laura was very helpful and polite in dealing with my problem. She called me back to keep me updated on my query in the afternoon and was very solutions focussed. It was much appreciated and helped make everything less stressful. Thank you Laura!

I have been at this Surgery for many years, yes there have been changes over the years, but I can honestly say I could not have a nicer caring Doctor who will always take time to listen and explain. Edited and uodated March 2022 Update to my original review. I have lived here over18 months now and, during lockdown the surgery were faultless. However, there are some issues, which I'm really starting to find very alarming. I know that everywhere is busy and I'm not the only patient. I'm not asking for special treatment. But I am asking that my meds are prescribed properly and that if I request a referral for a preexisting condition because I've moved to the area so cannot get to a hospital I was treated at before, that they know how to do that. I would like to know that that can be done without having to panic they won't do it, and find out 8 months on I've not been referred, like I was promised by the GP. I'd like to have confidence in requesting investigation and referral for NEW conditions, but I panic that I'll once again be forgotten. They are excellent at keeping you informed by text, but if you contact by phone, you need to constantly phone back to check. End update. I moved to the area back in Oct 2020 mid lockdown. Falmouth RD seemed to be my nearest surgery and registering myself and my son was easy. I can't fault the service I've had, always on the ball, professional and go out of their way to help. Thank you.

Great customer service. There was a hiccup trying to book a medication review and I needed assistance from the reception team. Elly came to my rescue and sorted the issue out quickly and efficiently. The Dr.iQ app is a great asset to the practice - it's quick and easy to use (once you have used it a few times) but sometimes you need to speak to someone if your query is not listed and reception is the place to start. Most of the doctors and clinicians are helpful, caring and professional. I've been with this surgery for over 70 years and the present team are the best yet. Previously, there were few times I considered moving to another practice because of incompetence and badly run departments but a strongly worded complaint would usually sort it out . Let's hope the successful turnaround is here to stay!

I don't think it's right that I had to wait 6 days for a 2 minute phone call with the doctor regarding a suspected chest infection. I understand that patients cannot come into the surgery at the moment, but this seems too long considering the length of the consultation. Edit: After having another bout of poor health, I'm pleased to report that my experience has been much improved this time around. I was called back the same day I made an e consultation, and an appointment was made to see a doctor the following day (albeit at a local hub, rather than the Falmouth road surgery). Thankful for this situation, and hopeful that this will be the case for future appointments.

We have had a number of GPs to date, and none come close to the excellent experience we have had at Falmouth Road. The reception team is always polite and super helpful, on the phone or in person. The doctors and nurses are capable, nice and don’t hesitate to make a referral, should they feel you need one. The practice is always on time - I’ve had to wait max 10 or 15mins, but typically on or within 5 mins of your appointment time. And yet you never feel rushed. Wonderful GP!

The 2 nurses I saw are extremely competent, plus they minimised the time I spent inside the surgery during the pandemic. I felt compelled to open this page after receiving some exemplary service however I was quite surprised to see the 1 star review and to be fair there are quite a few. Luckily all my interactions with the surgery and I have had quite alot as my father is very unwell, have all been positive. I would urge the people that have had a negative experience to take the name of the individual and speak to the manager rather than tarring the whole surgery with the same brush. Now on to my latest experience, Nazmin I believe, who has a lovely telephone manner (as do all the women that I have come across in this surgery), listened to what I had to say, understood one medication is more urgent than the other and pushed for it to be available the same day without me even having to ask and then went above and beyond (the other women haven't been given this opportunity so I can't say how they would react, but they're all so kind I would imagine something similar) and spoke with her manager to sort out a query I had. Nazmin I am really grateful for what you did today, caring for a parent can be tough at times but you have definitely lessened my load today and saved me alot of time and effort. Bless you and everyone else in the surgery. The doctors are great too by the way not once had an issue, but if God forbid I do or if anyone does in the future, may Allah, God, whomever you believe in, instill patience in our hearts and remind us we're all humans and prone to mistakes. We're living in very stressful and precarious times so let's cut each other some slack as we never know what the other person is going through.

I called yesterday about 8am and I joined the queue. I was on number 15. I waited till I got to number 1, hoping to be answered. Unfortunately, they cut the line off. I called again and their system said I should call around 10am. That means, time of appointments are over. I was not happy. I called in the afternoon and a blessed staff answered. I told her my experience in morning and she promised to call me the following day and book a time of appointment for me and she did exactly what she said. I am sorry I have gotten her name. Overall I have to say that Falmouth surgery is definitely, improving, normally I don’t get an appointment let alone a good service when it comes to booking an appointment on the day, but that’s not the case anymore. The surgery is getting more efficient, they are starting to listen to the needs of the patients & the new staff are great. Today I really appreciated the service that staff member, Patrick gave me. He was friendly, professional & listened previously to my needs and request. Thanks mate👍🏾!!

They are also very thorough and attentive and I believe that in times where there are great pressures on GP surgeries, I still receive the best treatment options available. Whenever sympathy is appropriate, all staff are extremely kind and understanding. I highly recommend Falmouth Road Group Practice to anybody whether they are generally fit and healthy so only have the occasional need for help from the practice, or to people who are unfortunate enough to have more complex needs and therefore require far greater medical intervention to maintain optimum health.

This surgery has recently been taken over and the experiences I've had have been excellent. Appointments will need to be booked quite far in advance as it is a busy surgery, but on occasion I have turned up at around 0740 and got myself an appointment that day before lunch. Not bad at all.
