I’ve been attending the clinic since my consultation in November 2021 and it’s the best thing I ever did! I’ve watched parts of my hair that has not grown IN YEARS grow back and fill up in a number of balding areas of my scalp. My hairline (which has been bald for approximately ten years) is also filling up which has really stunned me! My scalp is also not itching as it used to thanks to the very mild, yet effective products. I’m extremely pleased with the progress of my hair and scalp health, and have now made this part of my fixed (and regular) beauty treatment regimen!

I started to go to Fulham Scalp and Hair Clinic at a time when I honestly thought I had a future of wigs ahead of me. For years, I’d been losing hair and it got to a stage where my crown hair had completely thinned out and it was very obvious so anyone taller than me could see. This was the time I met Teresa. She’d been recommended by a friend and I was at a stage where it was a life of wigs and anything else was a bonus, so I decided to go and see her. My first meeting was enlightening! She put my hair under the microscope (literally) and it wasn’t good news. Just listening to Teresa explain to me the plan for treatment filled me with hope. Just after 2 months of treatment, the difference was clear. Four months later, my hair is the thickest I can remember it ever being. Even the areas damaged from the traction of braids are even looking better! I am so happy with the results and highly recommend anyone having a similar issue with hair loss to seek advice sooner rather than later. There’s hope!

I am extremely happy with my treatment so far!! I had an initial consultation where I felt my frustrations were heard and a solution was immediately presented. They were actually the cheaper option compared to other dermatologists around London and I am very happy with the results and help so far. The trichologist has also offered additional advice and learnings about overall physical and mental health, including podcasts suggestions and dietary changes which I am very happy abut and will allow me to manage my condition better going forward! Would highly recommend to anyone with scalp or hair issues.

I was so frustrated with my scalp condition when I first made an appointment with the Clinic. My scalp was itching relentlessly and, horrifyingly, I’d lost a patch of hair. Happy to say that after a few weeks of treatment (with the calming/anti-inflammation range), my scalp is healthy, I have no itching & my hair is growing well. *Amended* I bought a bottle of soothing scalp spray as usual when my last one was running out. This one was so harsh that I had to discontinue use after one day and left me with scarring all over my scalp and ears. The Clinic sent a new bottle, but my scalp is now itchy 3 weeks later. The Clinic's resolution attempts (or the lack thereof) have mostly been in the form of gaslighting me & denying responsibility. A disappointing turn of events that strikes me as bad business.

Staff are lovely and very welcoming. in my initial consultation, they went through everything extremely thoroughly and explained everything in detail. The treatments are very relaxing and they take time in performing each treatment each time. I never feel rushed!

Theresa is knowledgeable, gentle with your hair and gives great advice. I have been using her medicated scalp range for years and the scaling that used to form on my scalp have stopped since following her regime. She's not a trendy stylist, however, having healthy long hair is more important to me personally than if she can lay down my edges. Keep up the great work Theresa.

Amazing from start to finish, Business run by mother and daughter which is run outstandingly. I'm always greeted with a smile and attended to promptly. Everyone is always very nice and great to talk to. My hair has improved massively, usually its very hard to manage my hair when it gets long but with the help from the Theresa (the owner) I was able to control it. On top of that, she helped me with my dry scalp problem and now my scalp and hair are very healthy. I 100% recommend anyone who's having problems with scalp or hair to visit.

Honestly, this was money well spent!! Theresa was so kind, patient and knowledgeable. Answered every concern I had, gave me good advice on how to take care of my mental and physical health and reassured me not to focus on the hair loss but rather on taking care of my health which would in turn help my hair grow back. During the lockdown I decided to do something about my hair which had been hidden under a wig for the last 10 years because of hair loss and baldness to the crown of my head. This clinic was recommended to me by a hairdresser and I was eager to book an appointment even though I was not expecting any miracles! An extremely professional warm and friendly service provided by experienced experts. The guidance and advice given is second to none. On recommendation I went to see if they could help restore my hair after losing most of the front and top through stress. I started to visit the Fulham Scalp and Hair clinic after my sister searched the internet for a trichologist. After reading the reviews from other clients my sister booked my appointment. I wasn't sure what to expect. I received a warm welcome and because we are living in covid times my temperature was taken on arrival; gloves and masks are worn to keep everyone safe. After my consultation with Eleanore, the next steps of my treatment was clearly explained. Both Eleanore and Teresa have been very helpful; they have helped answer questions I had either at an appointment or by email. I've had to change my routine with regards looking after my hair and scalp. Working from home has helped, but Eleanore and Teresa's support throughout have helped me to preserve.

I've had a good experience at the clinic the staff are friendly, helpful and communicative and their products have been really good for my hair however... My hair loss has always been tricky because once it fell out it didn't grow properly again. It came through super thin. when I came back from a year abroad in Korea i developed gut, bladder, kidney problems and my nails became crumbly. I went to the doctor for 8 years and I was fobbed off as an ibs case and I was referred to hospital but they said nothing was wrong. When I first went to the clinic my head was shaved because by that point my hair was 4 inches and see through after 4 years since I shaved my hair. I have a large localised area at the back. In that area my hair is the worst, its sparse and the hair texture is wispy and straight. When I said this I was told not just by the clinic but by another trichologist and other doctors hair has different textures around your head which I found annoying because the hair is so sparse you can see my scalp and it doesn't grow past an inch. No one could give me an answer for the back, at the consultation they said the back was most affected by my chronic telogen effluvium. In my gut I didn't feel that was the case and I hadn't found a diagnosis for my hair troubles because really my hair was still growing damaged which to me was signalling an internal problem which I thought was just iron deficiency. I carried on with the regimen for 9 months now and my hair gew back mostly the same, as its got longer its started to break. Its just under 3 inches 9 months after I shaved it. BUT the texture in the back has slightly changed and its trying to curl again. I was also having scalp issues, I carried on with their scalp range for 5 to 6 months and my scalp improved alot but I still get sore areas and I knew in my heart even if I continued with their products it wouldn't fix the problem. I transitioned to their stimulating range and the back area where the hair loss was the worst struggled with the stimulating cream it burnt to the point it brought tears to my eyes and I knew that something wasn't right. They told me not to use it on that area but that didn't answer any questions as to why my skin was so sensitive in that area and why the hair was so sparse. Last month I went to a private functional medicine company and had gut health test done. The results came back that I had parasites!! leaky gut and dysbiosis. My practitioner explained this was the cause of my hair loss. The parasites were eating all my nutrients hence my hair growing damaged, crumbly nails and dry skin, and I had serious malabsorption issues. At the clinic the diagnosis they gave me didn't explain cause, and I still felt their reasoning of my hair care practices didn't warrant my hair not being able to grow. I had never used heat on my hair, no blow dryers etc never relaxed it, my mum braided it and she never braided it tightly. I'd leave my braids In for 6 weeks max. I just knew in my gut (pardon the pun) that it wasn't the cause of my hair loss. I did an interview with a black trichologist. She said my hair and scalp issues from what I told her were outside of a trichologist remit. She also sensed it was internal, she said the pain in my scalp and the back needed to be looked at by a dermatologist ASAP. I'm going to see a private dermatologist at the end of the month. Edit: The dermatologist confirmed a diagnosis of lichen planopilaris which she thinks was triggered by the parasitic infection 😔 I think more time can be spent on diagnosis, there wasn't enough time spent examining my scalp and more signposting is needed. I think it works for people who have bad hair care practices, alopecia etc, but for medical cases like mine it's probably best to seek a functional medicine company. I'd recommend them for black hair education, and their products 👍🏿

I first attended the clinic over a year ago when my scalp was in a really bad condition and my hair was starting to fall out. I had a consultation and learnt a lot in the process. I under went weekly treatments and followed their advise. Within a few months I saw a vast improvement and my hair is full and thick now. My scalp still has the odd flare up but NOTHING like it was before. I would say it is very expensive however it has been the only process that has worked. Thank you very much.

After having scalp issues for many years and visiting clinic after clinic, reading blog after blog, watching video after video on youtube my scalp still needed attention. After a google search, I found this clinic and decided to give them a call to book an appointment. On the day of my appointment I arrived at the clinic, and was greated with a smile and told to have a seat. I did not wait long before Teresa (Trichologist) called me to have my consultation. I told her about the troubles with my scalp and that I was losing hope. She took a look at my scalp and immediatley identified my condition, which surprised me because I had visited another clinic the previous month and was told my issue was to due trauma I suffered as a child, which I found to be ridiculous. Anyways, after identifying my condition, she asked me about my hair and scalp routine. Which I told her was "wash hair-conditioner-oil my scalp" and on my non-wash days I just oil my scalp and hair. (I have locs). She told me to stop the oil. I immediately got defensive because to me that was a new language. I have locs and I have been doing this routine my whole life. How can I just stop oiling my scalp? After the consultation, I decided to do a treatment. After my treatment, Teresa gave me more advise on my routine. I left the clinic and went home. A few days later, I noticed something strange, I had not scratched my scalp at all or even put my fingers in my hair. I was shocked, my scalp felt great for the first time in years, I immediately called the clinic and booked a second treatment and a third and a fourth. After my fourth treatment, I started the at home treatments and continue to use the shampoo,conditioner and lotion recommended my Teresa. I am so happy I decided to listen to her advise. It is hard go aganist everything you have been taught and to change your routine is even harder, but I am glad I did, best decision I ever made. My scalp feels great, my locs are thicker and overall my hair and scalp is thriving. I am happy I listened to her and stayed the course of the treatment, I only wish I found this clinic earlier in my struggle. I want to say thank you to Teresa and her team for their help. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The ONLY hair salon i allow to touch my hair after the numerous disasters of going elsewhere. Unlike other salons i've dared to go to, they are gentle, thorough and their products are excellant. I've learnt that you really have to consistent go for their treatments to see a marked difference in your hair and i always get complemented on how my hair looks. I've seen significant regrowth too in areas of my scalp that are weaker. They've looked after my hair for over 10 years now when it's relaxed and when it's natural, give you educated advice and tips on how to maintain your hair at home and i feel pampered everytime i come. I can't say enough good things about this clinic! Run by a Mother and Daughter duo with decades of Clinical (and personal experience- they have afro hair!) I always feel like part of the family here. I've been coming here just over 1 year now and I honestly have a completely different head of hair. The texture is softer, smoother and my scalp is no longer dry, flakey, itchy and it's self lubricating! Forget all the advice you see online and YouTube (this cost me a few months growth). If you are serious about growing your natural 4c hair long - SEE A TRICOLOGIST - start your hair journey with Eleanor and Teresa now. It's may not be the cheapest but I promise you will get the results as long as you do exactly what they tell you. You won't regret it! My only regret is not going to see them sooner and thinking I could grow my hair, with all its issues, long on my own.

I find both trichologists, Teresa and Eleanor, to be really knowledgeable about Afro textured hair. They both take the time to walking you through the process and the reasons behind why. It helps that they are super encouraging as any hair journey is difficult. The best thing about them is that they set expectations really well - don’t promise a magic cure but, do work at bring out the best version of your hair over time. The facilities are clean though small and all products are made on site by them.
