I called my doctor regarding my blood test and he sent me the wrong link so I wasn't able to book my blood test. I called and had the most amazing service by Chanda. She was very patient and helped me with everything. She was very friendly compared to the first rude receptionist I've spoken to. Thank you so much Chanda. :)

Never been to such an amazing surgery. The receptionist was very welcoming and kind. She helped me find a medical document I was missing and got me straight to the blood te at area, it was a Saturday morning and I did not have to wait a single minute. Being quite nervous about needles, the 3 nurses came and talk to me to distract me from the blood test, lovely ladies (thanks so much). 10/10 x

This has been my GP since I was a young child, even when they were at the old location. Things has not been the same since Dr Som and Dr Datta retired, however I still have to approach them for my medical needs and referrals. The DR IQ app is nonsense by 9am they are not taking any more refferals. That needs to change and it needs to be made available throughout the day. The call waiting time can be long, I waited 40 mins to speak to someone and I was position 1, that is unacceptable I had to question the receptionist on what they were doing. They couldn't give me an answer. So I sent my email complaint to the manager and til this day (no response lol) They need to put on their phones, the callback automated request service and it saves your place in the queue, then they call you back. Use one of the staff to deal with phone queries only, because it's ridicious- On the otherhand I like Chandra who works there, she does her best to help me. I don't like my phone consultation with pharmacist, I prefer a proper GP last phone call I had they refused my medication and said to go to another clinic. And I have had this prescribed before it's a load of nonsense. This GP needs to improve on some things, but I can't be asked to find another one they are all the same.

I visited the surgery today to see my GP. I was due for the Flu Vaccine, but did not have an appointment, I went to the reception desk to book an appointment and was informed that I could get my jab straight away.Chanda gave me my jab, she was very efficient the vaccine was painless, I did not even know she had finished.excellent service.

Always pleasant when I arrive, some of the staff on the phone can be very abrupt and take a long time to answer. They are always accommodating to get the earliest appointments but sometimes you do have to explain why you need the appointment as soon as. Only fault would be not to ask people to complete the review there and then at the reception desk.. it is a bit forceful! All experiences with doctors and nurses I have had have been positive.

Had an issue on a surgery I did at Nothmiddle sex hospital no records were at the hospital but my GP relentlessly and found my records and ask for those records to be uploaded on the system and now they are electrically on the system which makes it easier for any subsequent GP to view and know my health history. The new Dr.IQ app worked very well for me. I got a response for my health issue with a couple of hours each time I raised a question. For things like requesting blood test forms and results, you may have to choose “Request consultation”. Even if you don’t need a doctor as such. It’s ok - the receptionist will pick it up if the doctor doesn’t need to be involved. Remember communication may be sent to mobile text or email. As well as consultation history on the app. So information may be in more that one place. I don’t know about the experience of patients who aren’t familiar with using apps or little English. I expect they can ask a friend or carer to help them.... I dealt with a good doctor for the whole of my health issue. She was very helpful and reassuring.

I don’t really like Dr. iQ because I most of the time get random and unrelated responses which stress me and I end up spending so much time and effort on trying to get it right and understood. Regardless they kind of pressured me to give them a 5 star review right then and there in order to get my NHS verification email? I found that distasteful. I changed to this surgery earlier in the year from another local surgery and I wish I’ve done it before. The reception is spacious and bright, they have an online appointment booking system, and I can view my medical test results online too which is very convenient. They also offer phone consultants with doctors if face-to-face is not available on the day, this was helpful on several occasions. The doctors I have seen so far are attentive, reception staff are mostly friendly (except for one lady who seems to make it her job to make things difficult for you, and patronising). They have phlebotomists on the site as well, although there’s no booking system for blood tests which makes waiting time very long (sometimes up to 3 hours). Overall, I’m happy with the services this surgery offers.

Although the surgery is usually very busy, its always clean and well organised with staff doing their best to resolve patients queries. Chanda at the reception desk particularly has a great knowledge on patients needs and on new updates as whenever other friendly staff are unsure; she always takes strong initiative in helping solve uprising issues and makes sure she gets to the bottom of it on the patients behalf.. Lately I've been very happy with the service. when I first came here around 3 years ago the service was lacking and often times you had to deal with rude receptionists, but the last year has been really good and everybody has been nice and friendly and the doctors have been good and competent in most cases too, though they still seem to just getucky occasionally. For a diagnosis this summer the doctor issued a test that wasnt normally done for my symptoms and when I had my phone call with another GP to discuss results he was baffled this was issued though it was good they did as it showed what was the issue. sometimes I also wish the service was a bit more hands on and not just listening to symptoms, from Germany I'm used to them actually checking you for your symptoms but that is an NHS wide problem, nobody likes to touch you and rather give you paracetamol for everything. It would also be great to be able to see the same doctor's, I feel that would make it much easier for them too. The other thing that I'd like to have improve here specifically is that there should be more appointments available and the phone call appointments should ideally be kept within the designated time slot, I often had to wait quite some time until after my time slot. But happy about the improvements!

Surgery itself is slightly outdated, interior is not in the best shape but overall happy with the service provided. The reception have to deal with the brunt of it and for that reason 3 stars however the surgery is riddled with locums and they are very unsympathetic, I felt very offended at the lack of interest in my situation and the lack of support when realising that I have a condition that has no cure. I have to admit that I don't expect any sympathy but at least a little engagement would help me to feel more confident about myself and my welfare. I was told nothing can be done and I was already told that by a specialist... I feel so much better now... Again the reception desk staff are very good at what they do just don't expect anything great from the doctors housed there the locums don't care about patients. And the main GP are hard to get an appointment with.

This surgery is an omnishambles of a place - groaning under the pressure of being under resourced and poorly managed. I try to avoid ever coming here if I can. I have a lifelong condition which requires me to be on medication. Every three months I need to request a repeat prescription and every time there is some kind of issue, confusion and “computer says no” situation. I am never checked other than a blood test every six months and there is never any kind of follow up consultation, which I used to have in another surgery. The queues are always long for blood tests and you can easily spend 2-3 hours waiting. Appointments also always involve waiting between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on how late the doctor is running. The reception staff can be helpful if you handle them with care. It can be quite stressful trying to get it right so they are polite and helpful. Mostly they talk in jargon and NHS-speak it’s hard to know what they are actually asking you to do. Not a place to go if you are unwell, under pressure or need answers.

I arranged a phone call consultation online for some blood tests and they called me back in few days to arrange it - all went well and I got the blood tests done . Once I got at the reception, I had to take the papers for the blood tests. What I didn't understand - it's why the reception lady insisted me to leave a review on google so much? She even started to write the review for me but after she stopped saying that better if I write. This is not ok. You shouldn't push the people to write anything - I won't mention her name even though she asked me to give a good review and add a name but is not normal.. Seeing the nr of reviews here I assume they push people to do it - so dont jugde this GP based on this but on your experience ( once you try )

Since then I have deeply impressed with my GP doctor sincere, dedicated, committed service and professionalism. My doctor very patient, compassionate and take an interest in my well-being, always pleasant to speak to regarding any question and concern I might have. I appreciate the way my Doctor recognises symptoms of my health and act promptly to make referrals to treatments. I have been happy with the service of the multi disciplinary team: nurses, phlebotomist, therapists and reception staff. I find easy to book an appointment by phone. They handle my phone calls with courtesy and always very helpful, give advice and explain what I need to do in details, offer new services and inform about changes at Laurels. They show excellent interpersonal skills at all times. They manage the everyday challenges that arise at high level with understanding and problem solving. This is a big, spacious and modern practice. The practice area covers ten postcodes. Entering the practice is clean, tidy with good toilet facilities. The patient name is shown on the electronic ticker-tape screen to call on a patient to GP's office. Blood tests have an electronic counter showing the ticket number. Furthermore, I receive a text reminder via my phone. It seems very organised. Under one roof you can see GP doctors, nurses, going to Blood Test, find a collection of repeat prescription and medication. Now you can make online appointments and book Saturday and late evening appointments. I highly recommend this practice to my friends in this area and for everyone who needs safe, individual and respectful care.
