Always had great experiences with this practice since we registered 6 years ago. Have never had an issue getting an appointment, including during Covid. When calling for my baby son I have received a call back very quickly or had a scheduled appointment that day. Doctors extremely helpful and knowledgeable and have booked appointments to follow up a few weeks later. Huge thanks to the practice, especially during what must have been a very stressful time for them all. The level of care and patience has been consistent and of a high standard

Only ever had good experiences with this practise for myself and my family, receptionists are knowledgeable and friendly, doctors are professional and take your concerns seriously. Even during covid we’ve had both face to face appointments and telephone consults, all which have been helpful and easy to arrange.

Amazing experience with the Nelson Medical Practice recently. My fathers GP Dr Marek acted quickly with a medical concern I had with my father. This alleviated any worries and concerns I had. My family and I have been registered with them for years. The GP’s and the reception staff are very polite , helpful and friendly. Dr Marek , also referred myself and my mother to Marina to assist us in receiving carers support. Within a couple of days of the referral being made I had a call from Marina. I can’t thank both Dr Marek and Marina enough for their prompt action , help and support.

Amazing medical practice nothing but stellar service. I’ve never encountered a negative experience with any staff of doctors there. I find the reception staff are always polite and helpful. It’s rare these days to find a good service like the Nelson Medical practice.
Sadly leaving as I have moved out of the area, but I wanted to say a super big thank you to all the team there for the years of professional service and care.
We all know finding a good GP practice is never easy. More so if you are Autistic, a routine appointment can turn into a very negative experience if you are met with unaware, ill informed doctors with no clue on how to treat you.
I will always have fond memories of the fab doctors in the Green Corridor! 😇🙏🏼

I'd just like to say what great service I had at the Nelson health practice today
I had to have a ECG, chest X-ray,and
a blood test,all at the same center,all the staff, were friendly and hopefully

I was a patient at the blood testing clinic today. I so hope a senior manager can improve working conditions for the staff at this clinic.
Today I heard them say” We cannot carry on like this!”
A much larger than average number of patients are waiting all day every working day for their blood tests to be taken.
The working conditions are horrendous.
Medical staff have to go out from their very small working area to the main entry area of the building to find and communicate with patients according to the numbered chit each one holds. There are about forty patients and there is seating for ten. Patients are spread our over the large entry concourse and can’t hear the number being called, or easily see who is speaking.
I and other old folk stood for an hour this morning waiting. We were told to move into a much smaller space, contravening social distancing regulations because we were blocking the entry area.
Please relieve the medical professionals from the chore of finding the patients.
Maybe introduce the number of next patient being shown on the screen in the small waiting area.
Maybe use volunteers to meet and greet and take each patient to the testing area.
Maybe give timed entry maximum time fifteen minutes so patients are not in a crowd standing for too long.
Patients need seats which are in other public parts of the building unused right now.
More small seats could be accommodated in the entry concourse.
The delays in patients taking coats and jumpers off can be managed by alerting them they will be next.
Please can the marvellous Nelson Medical Practice help this blood testing service to run smoothly and effectively.
Please on behalf of the staff who are suffering from very poor and unnecessary conditions which they say are not sustainable.

I have recently sought assistance from the clinic staff regarding registration issues. Their administrative staff, Ms Shelby Hunter, has been very friendly as she responded promptly to provide useful information. I really appreciated their services.

Update: it is slightly difficult sometimes to get appointment. But usually they will call you back on the day to do telephone consultation first.
This is the best GP I have ever experienced in this country. Very friendly and helpful staff, easy to book appointment online, and long opening hours - you can book early morning or late evening appointments. Occasionally it takes a while to get through the reception for same-day urgent care, but one of the doctors always calls back on the day.
We are quite grateful there's a good GP practice around!

I have always had first class treatment from everybody at The Nelson Medical Practice! My doctor is thorough and kind and the nurses are cheerful and helpful and I always feel at ease when I'm there. The receptionist staff are brilliant and have bent over backwards to help me with various paperwork requests. Booking on the EMIS system is easy and I have never struggled to get an appointment. Keep up the good work everyone! You are a credit to the NHS and I am very grateful for all you do. Thank you!

The best GP I've been. The doctors and nurses are always friendly and patient. Clean and tidy environment with blood test centre and pharmacy in the same building.
Doctors and nurses feel professional enough to listen to your description of symptoms and do do some checks accordingly. ( some other gps I've been before would just give general suggestions like drink more water and couldn't wait to dispatch you)
Even the interns here are much better than elsewhere. I've been talking to one of them for my postnatal check, not until she called the doctor for further checks that I realized she was just an intern student. The intern has asked questions professionally and clearly.
The in-house pharmacist was amazing. He knows every medicine and will tell you how to take them before the prescription is handed into your hands. Sometimes even more detailed then the doctors.
Anyway, it's been good to registered with this GP.
The only down side is the waiting time is always long. The longest one took me almost an hour till I see the doctor since my appointment time, that was a same day appointment, though.

I recently had my first ever flu jab at the Nelson Medical Centre in South Wimbledon. The whole operation was a paragon of well-thought-out efficiency and I was in and out in 2 minutes. Bravo the Nelson and Bravo the NHS !!!

I've had very positive experiences here: I can book GP appointments on the day or re-order prescriptions all online, the staff are helpful and accommodating, if I need a blood-test then I only have to go downstairs, rather than all the way to the hospital. Yes there can be delays, but it is what it is - as long I communicate with staff, rather than vilify them, then I can at least give everyone the opportunity to do their best!

Happy with the service I receive and the doctors.
It is difficult to get an appointment, but I am grateful for the doctors phone calls which save time - theirs and mine. Some issues can be resolved by a phone calls, and when the matter is urgent I have not had problems getting an appointment.
The admin side is not good, I have waited over two weeks for a referral letter.
However I am grateful to doctors and nurses and NHS so 5 stars. Thank you

I've always been able to get an appointment when I've needed one and it's good to have the option of booking online. The vast majority of the doctors are absolutely excellent and really take the time to listen and understand. Premises are also very nice and clean and the reception staff are friendly.

Cannot rate this place enough. True fantastic. The facilities, the service and the team. No trouble getting appointments. Always helpful. when my online log in broke, their team fixed it and re-set up the whole thing for me. So good. After much deliberation about which practice to join, and having read some very poor write-up's we finally registered with your practice. Today we called to make an appointment for our scripts to be renewed as we have run out of our pre-prescripbed meds from South Africa, we were warmly greated by Lynne. A very friendly helpful lady. I went to collect copies of GP referral letters. There was a breakdown in communication and so initially, the copies were unavailable. A staff member called Lisa was incredibly helpful, abandoning the work she was finishing off (at 7.45pm on a Friday evening) to assist me, almost until closing time at 8pm. Exemplary patient service.

I am so impressed with the doctors and the staff at the medical centre, having a nurse practitioner on site has made things so easy to manage my long term condition, everyone is so polite friendly and they do their utmost best to help you when help is needed, top marks to the Doctors, nursing staff and reception team, only point that could be improved is the Telephone system, its very long winded and could be made a bit easier by having a direct line to reception..but all in all i am a very happy patient!
