Always very helpful and efficient. Front line reception are always pleasant and helpful without being too intrusive even when I needed a emergency list of meds emailed..it arrived in minutes. Dr's are fab considering the current restrictions and telephone appointments given. Thank god for our NHS.

Very impressed by the service this surgery offers. They do their best to find you an appointment quickly if it's urgent. The GPs and nurses are very caring and informative. A friendly and efficient receptionists booked in a telephone consultation with only a couple of days wait. The GP I spoke to was extremely helpful, and wanted to see me in person. I recently moved back to this practice after moving back into the area. I don’t like to generalise but we all know the stereotype of rude/unhelpful reception staff. That couldn’t be further from the truth at this surgery, they are genuinely the most friendly and helpful staff you could find. They should hold on to them as they are rare! I have had phone appts with Dr Hallgren and Dr Akunjee and both were kind and patient in their explanations, listened to my concerns and took next steps. My only request is that the surgery makes medical records available on the NHS app so you can see test results etc. I was told this is a service you need to pay for but my previous practice down the road did this automatically. This would make the service better/more modern and probably save on phone calls. But I really rate this surgery very highly! Great communication via text and email.

Doctor was very pleasant, professional and was reassuring and gave some good advice. My only complaint, which is not the doctors fault. It is the advice given at reception, I think there should be some better training at what to say to patients. For example, I was recommended to go to a hospital in Woking to go for a smear test during the height of the pandemic! This was obviously quite irresponsible advice which I didn't act on.

I really can't fault them, they have been great and supportive in managing my chronic illness. Also in cases of acute illnesses, I have always been able to get emergency appointments. Once i got my medication delivered home. They are also great when i leave it last minute to order my repeat prescription. The only thing i wish is to have one dedicated doctor rather than seeing the one available. Oh and don't be put off by the older cranky receptionist, she is the gate keeper, just calmly persist.

Appointment waiting times are not bad for london and I have usually been able to get an emergency appointment when needed. Dr Ruth and Dr Patel are both excellent female Gps. Friendly, intelligent and practical. I have been seen quickly and had all my queries dealt with easily and efficiently in one appointment and been treated with respect. In particular both these GPs are young enough that their knowledge base is actually current and up to date with new medical knowledge/ papers. As long as you dont book Dr Akunjee* then West Green Surgery is an excellent practice. God Bless our NHS and everyone who works so hard to make it function despite the huge lack of funding. You are all Angels. * Except Dr Akunjee who lets the side down considerably. He is old, arrogant and uninterested in you or even medicine it seems, and misdiagnosed me quite seriously through his own arrogance and lack of knowledge. But dont let one bad apple spoil the rest.

Now the situation is totally changed, much more better. I can confirm that nowadays I am totally happy about the new staff, especially the nurse in charge to follow pregnancy woman. I decide to modify my review from 1 star to 5 stars. Receptionist passive aggressive: My husband has discovered to have chicken pox. I don't know if I had chicken pox in the past, this morning I called my GP Surgery to take an appointment for me to book a blood test to check my antibodies. I explained to the receptionist that my husband has chicken pox, that I don't know if I had in the past this illness and also that there is the possibility that I am pregnant. The receptionist replied to me that the next available appointment will be the 15 of January, so in one week time! I complained about, I found this situation really risky, if I have chicken pox and I don't know I could contaminate other people. The receptionist replied to me in a passive aggressive way, repeating each time the same things. She was abusing his power and did not intend to help me. I asked her name to proceed with a complaint, she refused. She abused about her position menacing to remove me forever from the patient list of the GP surgery, she underestimate the the gravity of the matter putting me and others in danger of contagion. Obviously that at the end, also a really patience person such me can goes berserk, because of my reaction the receptionist hung up the phone. I called back other 5 time and she continued to hung up despited I restarted to speak in a calm way.
