I found Sandy a sympathetic practitioner. From the outset she took time to understand my symptoms and their effects on my health and well-being. Successful treatment approaches were developed and tweaked as needed. My symptoms eased steadily over the first few months, enabling me to be virtually symptom-free between appointments that stretched over a month or more. I am leaving the area so have needed to leave Sandy’s care. I can only hope that future acupuncturists are as effective. I don’t hesitate in recommending Sandy Steele.

I cannot speak highly enough about Sandy and the treatment I received. I was new to acupuncture and Sandy made me feel very comfortable and heard. Her questions about my health were very thorough and professional. I felt like she was truly listening to me and incorporating what I said into my treatment. Given that most health practitioners are quick to look past symptoms of chronic pain or fatigue, it was very affirming to have someone listen and validate what I was feeling. The acupuncture was very effective for me. I felt rejuvenated and energized after each appointment. I also felt like the appointment was very safe in terms of COVID exposure. I’m very glad to have been recommended to use Sandy’s skill in acupuncture when I fell ill with Bell’s Palsy. After not being able to sleep a full night until I saw her, that very same night after her treatment I slept without the the need for painkillers. Sandy does not just stick a load of pins in your body but discusses in depth all aspects of your life. It is expected that you will take an active part in your treatment, looking into diet, lifestyle, attitudes, etc. Acupuncture is not taking a few pills it's far more than that. I have had some profound help from Sandy and hopefully will continue to do so until treatment is no longer necessary. My health both mental and physical has improved greatly over time.

After two years of seeing a wide range of NHS and physiotherapy consultants about my 15 year old daughter's chronic and debilitating back /gynae pain, Sandy Steele has pretty much sorted out her after seven months of treatment. Sandy is an absolutely fantastic acupuncturist, who has made such a difference to my life after years of back pain caused by nerve damage. Friendly and very professional, Sandy uses acupuncture to address various ailments and in my case, with great results. My husband and I underwent IVF treatment in 2013 and Sandy gave me regular acupuncture during the course and even on her days off, just to ensure we had had as much help as possible at the key times of the treatment. My husband and I do believe that the fact we were lucky enough to have had our son after the first attempt of IVF, is hugely contributed to the acupuncture I received before/ during and after the fertility treatment.
