I would like to thank Dr Mohammed and Tanya for their Excellent treatment today 20/4/2022 in minor ops clinic. Very efficient service, and lovely to speak to.
Thank you

Not the biggest one but good enough for Birchwood area in my opinion. Friendly service and you can get an appointment quickly.

All the Doctors, Nursing Staff, Back Office Staff and Receptionists are generally very good. I have not found any of the receptionists rude, but when under pressure, they can get economical with their time which is to be expected. I have had trouble with the 'back office' staff regarding admin issues, prescription mistakes and so on, but again, being polite with them can help them serve us better. I was with Greenbank Surgery in Warrington before this one and they were OK, but this surgery is a lot better.

Amazing doctors that always go the extra mile. Generally amazing receptionist staff, Lorraine is amazing and always helpful. It’s a shame about the other receptionist that fails to deliver a friendly and understanding service and instead puts the phone down mid sentence as if she simply cannot be bothered to listen. Not really what you expect from a doctors receptionist therefore it’s a good job the others make up for this.

This is a fantastic Medical Centre, can’t believe the negative reviews, the receptionists always go the extra mile ( especially Lorraine) . My Family have been patients here since 1977! ( when it was Parker’s Farm ) .

I recently had to speak to a receptionist at the medical centre, it was a lady I hadn't previously seen. She was called Sarah, she was so kind and helpful, she just had a very reassuring way with her, as I was speaking to her on behalf of my elderly mum. My daughter has since spoken with her and she was just as kind to her. Shes a breath of fresh air in the practice. I'm also very fond of Lorraine who goes the extra mile to help, nothing is to much trouble.

Step 1: Register online.
All going well so far.
Step 2: Call at 08:00 which is the opening time, automated system says calls for appointments are open at 09:00. Fair enough. 08:00 - 09:00 may be reserved for appointments to happen before some people head to work. (Will follow up on this theory when I find out.)
Step 3: Call at 09:00.
A lady answers politely. We do not do appointments over the phone unless you have no internet access, please use the E-Consult system. I am directed to it in a professional manner. All appears to be going well. I'm new to the practise and do not know how they manage their appointments to serve the community most efficiently. If you're reading this review, I suspect you will agree that online is the way forward for convenience and reducing staff workload.
Step 4: Use the E-Consult system and realise it is one of the worst things to happen to the NHS since budget cuts. Whilst it is frustrating to use, it does at least work. (More details below.)
Step 5: Recieve a call from Dr Raju, who restores my faith in the GP practise and makes me wonder why the practise has such a low star rating.
Step 6: I was asked if I wanted to collect my prescriptions from a local Pharmacy which is brilliant as a review complained about that, but seems that has been fixed. (Excellent way of reducing foot traffic through the surgery during COVID)
Now for the reason the e-consult form stops this from being a 5 star review.
I have a pre-existing condition. None of the check box options or picture of where it hurts on my body are relevant to this. How does it have nothing related to kidneys. More than 1.8 million people in the U.K. have CKD (NHS's own numbers from 2017), yet kidneys are not an option.
Examples of questions you are asked, where you can type.
Does this condition make you feel sad?
500 character box..... So you're letting me type now?
What makes you feel better?
500 character box..... Really?
What makes you feel worse?
500 character box..... This E-Consult form certainly isn't helping.
Are these questions serious, or are they trying to filter out lazy people?
Perhaps this is part of the NHS's big drive on mental health.
I know what medication I just started (Previous GP before I moved house, started me on them.). I know I am suffering from one of the known side effects. I was advised to contact my GP if it happened. Why isn't there an "Other" option and a 500 character box to state this?
My concerns:
Your system is wasting GP time.
Unless you have a triage system to filter out rubbish. In which case, why not start with a short desctiption of the condition, and an option to skip the rest?
To be fair to the surgery, I do not know who made the decision to use the system. But by forcing patients to use the E-Consult system, you are asking patients to interact with the surgery following a rather negative experience. I wonder if there is data on negative patient - staff interactions prior to and after its introduction.
Not everyone is calm enough to realise the front desk staff and GPs have nothing to do with the decision to impliment the E-Consult, nor do they have input in its design or the power to easily change it.
Further update:
The EConsult still causes some friction. But I have had 6 interactions with the surgery and all have been amazing.
The reception staff are polite, work very hard and know their system well. This means my queries have never been misdirected.
I have spoken to 4 different GPs due to not setting a preference, and they have all been great. Some seem more knowledgeable about kidneys than others, but none that I wouldn't be happy to speak to/see again.
Once you get yourself set up on the online system with repeat prescriptions, access to your medical records etc... It's really quite a smooth experience.
(But I think the less tech literate may disagree.)

Telephone service could be better. Receptionists can be a bit short with u but once at the centre the doctors and nurses are wonderful. Can't do enough for me. I have a long term health condition so they know me well.

Local GP, can be hard to get an appointment on the day but that seems to be the case for most GPs in the UK. Can't complain though as its free and overall the NHS do a fantastic job. All the staff are very professional and do a great job

I can't thank this surgery enough they saved my life from the moment I signed up they treated my high blood pressure and appointment after appointment they looked after me.i can't believe how many people are calling the way the workers are and doctors.if your not happy then go else where.

Friendly staff. Most doctors are excellent. Have managed to get same day appointments on my last requests. Feel appointment times have improved only had to wait 10 minutes over appointment time. Much improved.

With the exception of Lorraine, who is great, i find others members of the reception staff to be arrogant and ignorant. It is no business of theirs what my request to see the doctor is for. They just book appoimtments. The doctor decides on my my condition not some self opinionated counter staff.

I am amazed at the poor reviews
We have been patients here for over forty years and feel very lucky to have this as our medical centre
Twice Doctors realised I needed emergency treatment and they went out of their way liaising with the hospital to get me looked after immediately
Such a shame people have had bad experiences but in the Warrington Guardian survey the practice got well over 90% satisfied patients
All reception staff have always treated us well and in all this time I have only ever had one missing prescription
