I have a dog who looks like an angel but isn't. Nick and his staff have been great. The ethos is to use kindness with the dog and there is no making the owner feel bad either. Some of my dog's behaviour is due to my reaction to her bad behaviour and they are happy to train me too.

My Labrador LOVES her classes with HoundPlus - we've been going for a few months now, and what I love is that you can mix-and-match which classes you go to, depending on what you'd like to work on. The training sessions have really helped Delta with key tricky areas, like recall and keeping focussed on me. She also really enjoys scentwork sessions and mantrailing (basically doggy hide and seek) - we both have tons of fun, and it enriches her no end. The trainers are so lovely and knowledgeable - would highly recommend!

Nick and Livvy (and the rest of the gang) ran our Adult classes with Hugo and were fantastic. Extra support when needed, and gave us real actionable changes to our home training activities. I can't rate them more highly!

We had a lovely experience with our whippet puppy and HoundPlus. Friendly, approachable, relaxed and non-judgemental! We had a really great time and was a fab way to social our pup. Only wish we could have done more than 4 weeks of classes! Would love a follow up course if there are plans to do them in the future. High recommend HoundPlus!

I was so pleased to have found HoundPlus dog training. Our Romanian rescue dog, Dillon, has come on leaps and bounds since we started training with Nick & Livvy and the team. The class sizes are small so provide plenty of time to try and practice things such as lead walking and recall under the supervision of the trainers. HoundPlus offer so many varied classes, we’ve started to take Dillon to hoopers which provides physical and mental stimulation. Would totally recommend HoundPlus to anyone just wanting to improve their dogs obedience or just have fun with their pal. Kathy & Phil

We approached Nick after adopting our rescue dog, Diggle. We didn't know much about his background, but we believe he had been used for Badger baiting in his previous life, and has the scars and missing teeth to back this theory up. Within a few weeks of him coming to us his issues started to surface. He was extremely anxious, which presented as aggression, and we had several fairly serious incidents with other dogs, and an occasion where he was triggered by my dad approaching him, which unfortunately resulted in my dad being bitten.We contacted Nick who came and visited us in our home, and my parent's home to assess Diggle. He gave us insight into what Diggle's triggers were, and advice and guidance on how to deal with it. The change in in our little dog is amazing, we can now have enjoyable, relaxed walks with him. He is still cautious of other dogs, but with Nick's guidance we have taught him that dogs = treats, so he now looks at us for a dog treat when another dog approaches, instead of going into meltdown - he even has several doggy pals that he walks with on a regular basis. He is so much more relaxed with people now, he is on excellent terms with my Dad, and instead of growling at visitors to the house, he is excited to see them and wants cuddles. I honestly can't thank Nick enough, he has changed our lives and given Diggle a quality of life that we don't think he has ever had before. Would highly, highly, recommend him. After doing a puppy, adolescent, and adult course, we found ourselves at a loss with how to continue structured training/activities with our pooch. Luckily we found Hound+! We signed up to mantrailing without knowing what it was about, and both our pooch and us have absolutely loved every session since. All the instructors and assistants are 10/10. Without knowing it, we also feel like we have become part of a dog-loving community, thanks to Hound+. We continue to recommend them to everyone we meet outside of the courses, as we have found that it has given our pup a boost in confidence and we can tell that she absolutely loves it.

Hound plus has been great since we started puppy training class. The training we received was excellent, they not only helped with our puppy but trained us too! We have now singed up for hoopers and trick classes and like the puppy training they are really fun and informative! Hound plus have such a wide range of knowledge and they are always happy to answer questions on their app. There is always plenty to do from training classes to a free pack walk on Sundays. I would highly recommend Houndplus to all that ask for the best dog trainers who know exactly what they are doing and have a passion for what they do. Everyone is super friendly and approachable, just a super lovely group of people!

I've really enjoyed working with Nick and the team. I wanted to build confidence in my 1 year old sprocker who's very shy in new situations. The scentwork course has been the best thing for her! She's learnt a great new skill and has come on leaps and bounds in her confidence. She's gone from cowering behind me to interacting with all the other dogs and humans. Nick, Rachel and Livvy are really encouraging and knowledgable and I've really enjoyed the bonding experience with my dog. I've already booked on to our next course! Would recommend to any dog owner!

I want to thank Nick, Rachel & Julia as they have all been amazing. Everytime Nick has shown us something in puppy class it’s like he’s magic and it has helped us with our training so much. His words have also reassured us massively too. We are really looking forward to the training walks we have booked on to so we can work more on Nalas over-excitement, pulling and loose lead walking. Sometimes all you see are perfect dogs on Instagram and you don’t see the struggles and issues that other owners have too. Again, thank you so much for all your help. We are so happy we found Hounds+ and I always highly recommend them to friends and family. The Puppy Passport addition is amazing and got us out and about with Nala, visiting cafes, pubs, plant shops and more so we could get it signed, it’s such a great idea. Plus, the graduation bandana and badges you can attain are so fun!

Fantastic dog training and human training too! Absolutely loved the puppy then the plus classes we did and we learnt so much. The husbandry work we have done in class and worked on at home really came in when my pup had conjunctivitis and we needed to put in eye drops. Liv, Nick and the crew are so friendly and helpful when asked questions. My pup loves going to the courses, social club and events hosted by HoundPlus and has got so much out of attending. I highly recommend!

Recently finished my puppy training class with houndplus, I have really enjoyed it as to did gracie, nick is a brilliant trainer and answered any questions with great expertise. The course also came with access to a membership area on their website and also access to the private members facebook page which is no end of help and support. All in all a great course and we will be attending the advance course after Christmas.

I've had dog/puppy training with Nick 3yrs ago which was very good. When I saw he was holding classes more local to me, I jumped at the chance of joining up. The classes are well led, full of information etc. There are only a handful of clients in the classes in these strange times and it's held outside. You get a one to one assistance both with Nick and Livvy. All in all a very professional experience. I look forward to advancing with both my dogs.

Nick and his fellow trainers have been fantastic throughout. They are always happy to answer the million questions I have had and helped me with many areas of training, in particular recall. We recently finished our first set of adult dog classes with Hound+ and it was a huge success! From not wanting to go through the door (very nervous)…to not wanting to leave, Ozzie came on huge amounts in the 5 weeks with Nick. We now have an all round much more confident and reliable pup and we can’t wait to get our other dog in classes too! Thanks so much 🐶

We had to enlist the help of Nick when we adopted a rescue dog from Bosnia. We had been told that our beautiful dog would be good with our cat but unfortunately all meetings with her and other cats we could immediately see that there were real problems. We were recommended Nick who assessed our dog and was extremely honest and said that whilst he could train our dog to ignore our cat we should never leave them alone due to the dogs extremely high prey drive. We were so impressed with Nick as felt that other trainers could have made false promises in order to get regular work. Honestly can’t recommend Nick enough he was super friendly, honest and a great support! Thanks again Nick x

For anyone who knows my dog, Kiara, knows that she takes a very long time before she’s comfortable with new people & dogs. The whole team were extremely accommodating to us and their general approach was spot on for her needs. We’ve done 3 5-week courses so far and are eager to do more! Adult, Plus & Scentwork. By the end of our last course, Kiara took a real shine to Livvy and was playfully interacting with her which is a huge achievement. I also love the bandana and badge incentives, fab idea!
