Michaela has been walking our crazy springer since he was a pup and he absolutely adores her. As soon as she arrives he is pulling her out of the door and when he gets home he’s always worn out and clearly had a fab time. Michaela has a secure field which she uses for group walks and this is perfect for our boy as he isn’t so great on the lead. She is always professional, approachable and flexible with times and days and we trust her and with our dog 100% Couldn’t ask for a better dog walker!

The ladies at K8's are superb, and have been brilliant with our pup Ralphie ever since we started taking him in for grooms. They're so good with all the dogs they work with, and every time Ralphie looks handsome and smells great. They're also very knowledgeable on all things dog-related and have given us some great advice over the time we've been visiting. 100% recommend.

They all love visiting and always come back wonderfully groomed leaving me wondering how on earth I had not noticed they were that scruffy before taking them! The bonus of little bows and ties added to their collars are also a fun addition.

Today was my 4 month cockapoo puppy's first time being groomed. I was a nervous wreck about her going in case she hated it, but I was worried about nothing. Kate is clearly some sort of dog whisperer, as my dog took to her straight away. She let her have a sniff around the grooming parlour (which is very clean & professional) & got to know her a bit before I left. Upon return, my pup wasn't even bothered to see me, she was wagging her tail & skipping about the place, looking cleaner than I'd ever seen her with an adorable bandana around her neck. She enjoyed it so much, she sat down and wouldn't move when it was time to leave. Not what I'd expected at all, but I'm so relieved after being so nervous for her. I won't be taking her anywhere else now after the good care they took of her. Kate also took lots of pictures of her first grooming experience for me. Couldn't recommend Kate & her team enough, they have a new life long customer in me & my dog.

I was a little nervous about my puppy going for his first groom but Kate was reassuring and supportive from the first message! I took him today with his little doggy bag already for his groom and plenty of treats to encourage him to be good. I was almost brought to tears when I picked him up and Kate told me how good he was! I’ve taken my pug here a couple of times for a groom and each time she comes back smelling amazing. Kate and Mic are incredibly professional and also super friendly and approachable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else with my pug. They are so gentle and kind with her plus she always comes home with a little treat whether it be a banana or a bow on her harness 😍😍

Very happy with the quick, friendly and quality service I received from the ladies at K8. I went to book an appointment and managed to get one there and then. Teddy came out smelling and looking amazing. Will definitely use again and would recommend to others.

Well what can I say ..... I took my little girl to K8’s Short Bark & Sides as she had a very bad experience with her last groomer. I spoke to Kate before taking Gizzy to her explaining what had happened with the previous groomer and what Gizzy is like. Kate met Gizzy before her appointment and made huge fusses of her, made her feel comfortable and relaxed being in her salon and slowly introduced her to the equipment which would be used on her. On her appointment day, Gizzy was actually excited when I took her in wanting to go to Kate straight away which was lovely to see as she normally cowered into me and try to leave. When I picked her up later that day .... Gizzy looked and smelled amazing..!!! Such a lovely cut for her and Kate said she had no problems with Gizzy at all. She stayed still for her groom and didn’t even try to get away from the dryer. Such a friendly, caring and professional service from Kate, Gizzy has made a friend for life and am definitely going to be taking my girl there from now on. I can honestly recommend K8’s Short Bark & Sides for such a high quality service with an exceptional eye for the smaller details of every little pup who goes there .... A***** The following week ... I took my girl for a play date/walk with Mic from K8’s Short Bark & Sides. Gizzy loves playing and socialising with other dogs so I thought this service would be ideal for her. True enough, as soon as she got there she was so excited, 1 for going on a big walk and 2 because there were friends there for her to play with. When I picked her up later she was so excited, and was still happy to be playing with her new found friends ... she slept all the way home, definitely had a great day. We will be using the dog walking/play date service again from K8’s Short Bark & Sides such a fantastic way for Gizzy to socialise and have fun with other pups.

We would definitely recommend this company on two levels. Firstly Michaela home visits/walks our dog most days. Our dog has just undergone TPLO surgery and Michaela keeps strictly to the plan and always updates us. Very reliable and trustworthy. We took our dog to the salon, this was prior to surgery. They dealt with his needs, ie, not being able to stand for prolonged periods, gave him a great cut and we collected him smelling a lot better. Both Kate and Michaela are friendly and professional and I trust them with my dog. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant service. I have a 10 year old rescue retriever Toby, we’ve had him less than a year and didn’t know how he would cope with grooming. He can get a bit nervous and his legs get tired. Katie suggested bringing him down to see how he fared with the driers. What a thoughtful suggestion! We took him down and he was fine with them. He’s now had his first groom with them today and I am so pleased with the results. They really took care of him for us, he looks so much cleaner and tidier, and I will be taking him back there. My pups always leave smelling and looking amazing, but what's even better...they're happy! You can tell Kate loves dogs and I'm always confident my pups are left in good hands. The salon is clean and secure, the dogs are given lots of cuddles and attention and grooms are always immaculate. I would never go anywhere else now!! Wish I found her sooner!

Our two Bearded Collies had a brilliant time with Kate today. They suffer from mats in their coat, and get very hot in the summer heat. Kate did a brilliant job of trimming them down, even with Rufus being very nervous! They're looking and smelling great now, and the little bow is a lovely touch.
