Alasdair was recommended to us for helping develop recall in our terrier puppy. He has been extremely helpful and motivating in his approach; tailoring training tasks to suit our needs and our puppy’s specific temperament. He is flexible and relaxed in his approach and really encouraging, we always felt really positive and enthusiastic about training after our sessions, and together we have been successful. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for help, advice and direction in dog training.

Alasdair spent two sessions with us and was absolutely fantastic. The first was when my pup was a few weeks old and refused to walk. He helped with this, and gave us general training advice. Today Alasdair helped me with lead training. My now 9 month springer spaniel pulled badly on her lead. Alasdair spent a session helping with this and already it has made a difference. I now feel equipped to continue with this training, and know what to do, and Alasdair has said I can contact him any time for further support. I would highly recommend him.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Alasdair. Having just added a new puppy to the family (Orla) we were keen to get on track quickly. I contacted Alasdair for a one to one session with our pup as I was struggling to secure a place in puppy classes. Alasdair was great when he came to the house to see our Orla. His advice and instructions were invaluable at this crucial stage and reassured us that we were on track with our training whilst offering additional help and guidance . Needless to say within one day our pup was introduced to two new commands with great success. I would highly recommend Alasdair and I certainly would not hesitate to use him again .

5 Stars just isn’t enough to praise Alasdair. He is an expert and complete professional, and put both us and our anxious dog at ease. Cannot believe in just 3 sessions the difference in our 3 year old dog and our confidence in training him. Alasdair was absolutely fantastic. We had one session and the advice he gave us worked a treat with my puppy. He was super positive and patient, just what you want from a trainer. Can't recommend Alasdair enough. He's very patient and observant of the dog's behavior and triggers. Our border collie had gotten into a habit of biting his lead when he got frustrated. Alasdair understood this straight away and gave us the confidence to stick with a training routine. He was also very keen to hear updates and provide help and advice outside the sessions. With Alasdair’s guidance we've been able to break a year long battle with lead biting and now able to have pleasant calm walks with our dog. As a result of this we've also noticed or dog is much calmer returning home from a walk - usually having a nice sleep on the sofa whilst we have a cup of tea.

As a family of novice dog owners Alasdair's advice for our new puppy was invaluable. He shared great tips and advice on many areas including walking & training and we found it particularly helpful that he visited us in our own home. Advice was therefore really tailored to our circumstances; within a few hours of putting tips in practice toilet training was like night and day! We also benefited from having the whole family involved in the training. Alasdair is extremely professional, friendly and patient and we will definitely have him on stand by as our journey with our puppy progresses. Had two sessions with Alasdair for my one year old dog. Although good fun and affectionate Buddy needed some training in regards to pulling while on the lead as well as jumping on joggers and other dogs. Alasdair helped us work on recall with our Border Terrier pup. Alasdair is very professional and made our sessions lots of fun! He gave us lots of advice and tips and helped us progress through the stages of teaching recall, in a very easy to understand manner. We are confident that our puppy will come back to us in pretty much all situations and this allows walks to be more enjoyable for us and our pup. Cannot recommend Alasdair highly enough, and if we run into any training issues in the future we would certainly go back to Alasdair 🐶

Alasdair came out to help with our puppy Bailey on improving his recall and overall walking. We had 2 sessions with Alasdair and both went brilliantly. The way Alasdair was with bailey was amazing to see as Bailey is a timid dog but out walking the way he was able to get Bailey to listen to him had showed us that we had a great dog we just needed to be more confident in ourselves. After both sessions I can say that he has massively improved our confidence for off lead walking and just in general approaching other dogs with Bailey knowing how we should act to keep him calm and also how to we can get him back to us from off lead walking. Alasdair was flexible with coming out to meet us and kept in touch to make sure the times and dates were still suitable, he was always on time for his appointments and his prices were brilliant and competitive. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for some further dog training and we will definitely be using him for any future training.

Alasdair worked wonders for us. Our year old labradoodle Hugo was pretty boisterous- pulling on the lead, lunging at runners and cyclists and showing his teeth when we tried to brush him. After only 2 training sessions with Alasdair we were able to make positive changes which helped to turn Hugo’s behaviour around. It was such a relief and so reassuring to see how Hugo COULD behave when given the appropriate training. He engaged with Alasdair immediately, it was just a matter of us following Alasdair’s advice to get the best from our dog. It is no longer stressful taking our dog on walks and we have gained knowledge and tips on how to deal with challenging situations and prevent them before they happen. I can honestly say best money ever spent & an absolute bargain at the very reasonable cost per session. This is a real game changer for anyone out there who is struggling with the behaviour of their fur baby. Can’t recommend “The Dog Whisperer” enough for making our time spent with Hugo an absolute joy 👍🏻👌

Can’t recommend Alasdair enough. We have had ongoing issues with our 2 rescue labs, with reactivity around other dogs and we were at the point where we were walking them at 5am in the morning, in a bid to avoid other dogs. We’d previously sought help from another trainer & a behaviourist, bought numerous recommended equipment and paid a small fortune in the process! Unfortunately, none of the methods worked. Alasdair came to see our dogs couple of times to ‘get sight’ of what was going on, before our first session and we’ve followed his advice since. In just a few short weeks we were able to walk our dogs, off lead in daylight and they are now happy to interact with other dogs. The training is ongoing and they continue to improve. He’s an honest dog trainer, who will do all he can to help.
