We had a great experience using Home Loving Cats for the first time and will definitely use them again the next time we need a cat sitter. They were very responsive, keep in contact with us with daily updates on our little Misty, and even took on a few other jobs while coming to visit Misty. Misty was very well looked after and although I know she was a bit quiet and stand-offish with Nuno, she was in a happy place when we saw her (see picture below!). Thanks again for taking good care of our beloved furball - we'd definitely recommend :)

I used Home Loving Cats for the first time last week to take care of Aimee whilst I was away overnight, attending a family party. She has been with me just over two years and this was the first time I had left her overnight, so I was rather anxious about how she would cope without me. I knew that she would be extremely stressed if I left her at a Cattery, regardless of the level of care she might receive, so I decided it was best to arrange for her to be cared for in her own surroundings. After some research, I found Home Loving Cats and was impressed with their web page and the excellent reviews they received. They are clearly cat lovers. It was easy to book for the dates I needed and Nuno arranged a video call initially to go through in detail exactly what was required. He followed this with a visit to meet us both and I found him to be very friendly and extremely professional, so I was happy to leave Aimee in his care. Whilst I was away Nuno sent updates with videos, which was reassuring. On my return, I found Aimee's litter tray clean and the kitchen tidy as I had left it. There was a "Thank you" leaflet left on the table for me with some photos of Aimee printed inside, which was a nice gesture. I was very happy with the care Aimee received whilst I was away. I would not hesitate to recommend Alex and Nuno and would definitely use them again.

Having had rescue cats all my life I much prefer to use a cat sitting service rather than catteries as its so much better for my cats to be looked after in their own environment. On moving to Liverpool I found Home Loving Cats online. An introductory visit was made and I was very impressed. Nuno had a real love of cats and understood very well what we wanted as our cat Marjorie (Marj) had some specific needs. Everything was handled very professionally and we were happy that Marjorie would be looked after well while we were away. We got regular contact and updates and videos on every visit. Because Marjorie had had some significant health issues we had specific requests and this was not a problem. It was so good to see Nuno bonding with Marjorie on the videos. We continue to have Home Loving Cats look after Marjorie.

A brilliant pet sitting service! Nuno really cares about your cats and provides regular photos and videos from his visits, which is a real comfort when you're away. We'd used a cattery once before and while we had no problems with the care they provided, being removed from their normal environment really upset our two cats. They were so much happier staying at home and having Nuno visit twice a day. I will being using this service again and would recommend them to anyone who's thinking of trying a pet sitter :)

I was recommended Home Loving Cats by a friend who has used their services on several occasions. The service is really professional and set my mind at ease. There was an introductory video call where we discussed what we required and what our cats needs and preferences were. There was then also a pre-booking visit where Nuno came to meet our cat, who immediately took to him and felt at ease. Once we had met Nuno we felt confident and relaxed about him looking after our cat, Chispa. He didn't disappoint us! Best decision i ever made. Never having used a sitting service i was not sure of what to expect but i was really happy and impressed with the service provided by Nuno. The best part was that my cat was in his own home where he had plenty of space compared to a Cattery which would have charged the same amount if not more for a small room. Nuno and Alex have been very professional and have taken amazing care looking after our cat, Nova. We were a bit apprehensive at first as we had never left her alone before. Nuno and Alex are both very warm and welcoming. We had a meet and greet before they looked after Nova and she had taken to them pretty much straight away. We were sent images and video updates of play time, treats and strokes and this made us feel at such ease. We couldn't ask for anything more and I've already booked in with them for our next weekend away. Came home after a long weekend away to a very happy, chilled out, contented little cat. We'd had a very negative experience with a different cat-sitter in the area, so I was a bit nervous about leaving her with new people. They both have a gentle and calming presence and Nuno went the extra mile changing the litter box and providing our Jack with Christmas presents! We had a brilliant experience using Home Loving Cats in Feb 2020. We went away for a week leaving Alex and Nuno to care for our two cats, one needy Ragdoll and a main coone cross. One of our cats is a little sensitive with food and is prone to eating too much if he gets the chance, then he throws the food up. I feed him little and often through the day to avoid this issue, but when we are away this is a bit tricky. Alex and Nuno provided automatic feeders so our cats could continue being fed a few times through they day, keeping them in their usual routine! The cats were so well cared for, the litter trays were pristine and they sent us plenty of videos and pictures of our cats. We could see that they had lots of attention which means a lot! We will 100% use Alec and Nuno again, and highly recommend their lovely service. Thank you so much 😊

Alex and Nuno were great, super responsive when I emailed and it was really simple to book in with them. We were worried as our cat has had problems with aggression in the past and this was the first time we were leaving him alone, but they took us through a video consultation before we went away so we could discuss his different needs inc medicine, and they sent us pictures and videos every day they visited which really put our minds at ease. They were very safe in regards to covid, only saw each other briefly with masks to pass over keys. Also only had to pay for one visit per day as they provide automatic feeders so he could still get his usual meal times. They were also really undertsanding when we had to cut our trip short last minute and cancel a few days, they were very accomodating with arranging their last visit and there was no extra charge. When we came home our cat was so happy to see us and purred all night, such a better experience than bringing a cat home from a cattery! They also left a really nice christmas present for him which was such a lovely touch. We would definitely book with them again and would definitely reccomended them as they will do everything they can to make sure your cat is happy!

We approached Home Loving Cats for their services when we had to leave Theo at home over the Christmas holiday. They went above and beyond to assure Theo had the best possible care and play time every day. Theo got to roam about in his familiar home during this time, as opposed to the alternative cattery option where he would be subjected to unnecessary stress with being in a new environment. We somehow now own four cats - Eddy, Charlie, Billy and Smartie! We're still not quite sure how this happened but they are here to stay and that's fine by us! Of course, they are all spoilt rotten and when we had arranged a short holiday quite recently, family members were able to come and feed the cats for part of the time but we didn't have anyone we could call on for the rest of the time we were away. We really didn't want to put them in a cattery as we knew this stressed cats out in general and they are much happier staying put in their own homes. I started looking into cat sitters but felt a bit wary about knowing how to choose someone we would feel comfortable with, not only looking after the cats but also being in our home when we weren't there. As it was, Home Loving Cats seemed to get great reviews all round and I liked the sound of them in general. Then we met Alex and Nuno and couldn't have been happier about them coming into our home and looking after the cats. Alex and Nuno are such lovely people and completely genuine. We both felt very comfortable with them and it was so obvious how much they love cats. Neither of us had any qualms about leaving our cats or our home in their care and it was so lovely to get regular texts and photos of how the cats were doing. It gave us complete peace of mind whilst we were away and there was no sulking from the cats when we got home! :) Smartie is a little old lady and uses a litter tray, but Alex and Nuno had no problems with this and kept it all clean for her. They give out cuddles and play with the cats and they also watered our plants and took in our mail as part of the service they provide. The Home Loving Cats service has totally convinced us that cat sitting is the way to go for us in future and we would have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending Alex and Nuno. So it's a huge thank you from Helen, Paul, Eddy, Charlie, Billy & Smartie :)

I had to unfortunately leave my cats last year in a cattery for the first time ever due to an emergency. They came back having lost a lot of weight and riddled with fleas. I knew I couldn't put them through that trauma again. The guilt I felt was horrendous but at the time I didn't even think of cat sitters. On a recent trip to the vets I saw HOME LOVING CATS advert so I made a note of their number and decided to give them a call the next time I was going away. I have 4 beauties 2 being extremely shy. They were very well cared for. Their litter trays were cleaned daily as per instructions. Feeding times were followed. Cat biscuit bowl remained full 24hrs and wet meat fed at a specific time. Cat bowls were cleaned and photographs taken . I can now have piece of mind for when I next go away my 4 beauties will be loved in their own environment and will be very well looked after. If you need to go away rest assured your fur babies will be loved and look after. Never again would I leave them in a cattery ! Thanks Alex and Nuno and I will see you again.
