B. S.We adopted Luna (fur royal highnes) June 2018 an American Bull Cross. She was extremely hard work at first and it was touch & go if we'd be able to keep her. I contacted the centre on a number of occasions, although they were very understanding they didn't actually give any practical support. I'm glad to say that we stuck with her and with lots of patience and love she's doing great.
S. F.All the staff and volunteers are amazing. We are so great full for the way they have help our elderly dad. We have rehomed one of their elderly residents and they are keeping each other company in their later years together. Thank you all so much. Keep up the great work you all doing x

P.Not too sure about this place, went to look at a couple of dogs a few days ago and I wasn't impressed.. yes all the dogs looked clean and were all in individual pens but they had no bed just a mat to sleep on, no blanket, it was a chilly day and the dogs didn't have an option to go either in or outside. One of the dogs walked on the mat they had in the cage with them and actually slipped on it and fell over. I didn't really see any toys for the dogs to play with :( it was such a shame. We had just been to dogs trust before hand and you can definitely see where the money goes there, each dog had toys blankets a proper bed and a pen to go into if cold...
I guess if the dogs are being taken off the street like this place says they are then that's great they are being fed and looked after but I just thought it was a shame being left outside with nothing but a mat... maybe I'm expecting too much.
E. T.We brought home our lovely rescue dog. Anthony and all the staff were so kind and helpful. They do a brilliant job taking care of the animals and work very hard.
A. L.Lovely clean and friendly place all willing to help you find your pooch. When you first arrive they asked you to fill out forms. Then you can view the dogs in the windows there's dog folders on the table also to help you.

R.We adopted our dog Bleu three weeks ago , the staff and volunteers were extremely helpful, thorough in their approach to the adoption process , we now have a beautiful boy that has adapted well and settled with his two dads . What is most apparent is the love and affection displayed towards the dogs by the staff.

K. A.Great place so far, it was my first time today and I went to dogs trust before coming here and it looks better. People can actually interact with the dogs give them treats and pet them, also they have alot of dogs other than big huskys and Stafford shire terriers unlike dogs trust.
C. H.Adopted pumpkin a week ago staff helpful and fingers crossed she has settled into the household wonderfully. If looking to adopt a dog highly recommend.

They aren't supposed to let dogs go till they've met all the family at the dogs home or take the dog on the same day but the did that as a one off. Also sent pictures of the dog playing and enjoying himself but we've had no response from them.
We are thinking that the one off may be more than that. Who knows who they are.

k. h.The staff are friendly and professional. The dogs are well cared for. I got my first rescue September 2014 and another December 2015. Donations are always greatfull.
m. j.We got a dog from here in November, the staff were very helpfully we picked her and reserved her for 1 week and had to come back with the rest of the family and proof from the housing to say I was allowed a dog in my home ,she had all her injections at MDH before we took her ,I took her for a check up and the vet said she was in very good condition.

D. b.I wish to highlight to people to disregard the disparaging review of Merseyside dogs home here is why in my opinion and experience of attending Merseyside dogs home ! For someone to rehome a dog then return it due to no fault of the dog or the home only through there own lack of commitment ! I consider this review to be an acknowledgement of a guilty conscience at knowingly letting that poor dog down again !!! but having the audacity to EXPECT on going information of a dog returned pity words of love was just that words not deeds ! making un evidential derogatory comments as the person had the acumen to state the level of intelligence of the dog and in own words" dogs issues could be trained out of it " is a confirmation of HIS LACK OF COMMITMENT TO THE DOG !!!
Not the outstanding service this charitable organisation is providing the numerous dogs that have been successfully rehomed to numerous happy people !also credit and recognition should be given to the initial taking in a stray unwanted dog and the excellent work done behind the scenes in preparation of rehoming a dog from assessment ,treatment and on going advice and support is in fact a warranted endorsement of ethical practices as to why you should go along and see for yourself this much needed charitable organisation is providing to dogs and would be owners alike. Regards and grateful thanks to Merseyside dog rehoming centre i was fortunate to visit.

J.Excellent centre working not just for dogs, but helping needy people in the community. Work with children, homeless and mental health patients, all on a small amount of donations. Get involved if you can!
