We've been to Mary with our older GWP and now our GSP Pup. Mary is patient, gives clear instruction and advice as well as great information generally on the dogs behaviours. She is very knowledgeable and has given us huge confidence in managing and having fun with our dogs.
The training sessions are great fun too.

I attended a series of 1-2-1 sessions with Mary both before lock-down and after. My dog, Locki, is already 12 months and I had been struggling with training basics as he wasn't interested in food rewards. Mary helped me find what he will respond to and now Locki is now much improved on recall, sitting and walking on the lead. These sessions have been a gamechanger!

Mary is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable trainer.
We came to Mary for help with our dogs anxiety around other dogs and people. From the first session I was impressed at how easily Mary was able to read my dogs behaviour and provide a wide range of training tips and techniques to not only help our dog directly, but to help us understand him better as well.
Through the one-to-one sessions our dog has made really positive progress and although there is still a little way to go I feel very confident that Mary's input has set us up for success.

We had both a 1:1 session with Mary when our puppy was 11 weeks old and then the puppy training course of 6 sessions. Our labrador is a very lively and enthusiastic boy and Mary gave us some top tips on how to keep him entertained, so we have never once had any chewing incidents! He loved the course as he is very much food rewards' based and likes to learn. I finally now have the confidence to take him off lead -it took me 5 months!

Mary presented her classes with energy and enthusiasm. She gave us knowledge and confidence in how to get the best from our puppy Lucie and continue to develop her and our relationship with her. Mary is clearly passionate about dogs and how to understand them. The course was thoroughly worthwhile and beneficial. Lucie loved the classes. The location was a perfect setting and a welcome added bonus.
Thoroughly recommend the course and felt was very good value for money.

Mary is a really experienced, no non-sense trainer. We had a 1:1 a few days after bringing our Labrador puppy home and it was fantastic. Following her advice and tips from the session, we got off to a great start and approach puppy education with the right attitude. We were rewarded with a very well behaved puppy from the start. We followed our 1:1 with a 6 week puppy training course. This definitely ramped up the training and developed our dog's ability to listen to us despite distractions. Mary teaches techniques to train a dog that makes good choices, building up on the natural instincts of a dog, and training through games. This has resulted in us having a dog that loves to work and behaves in a way that we want. We couldn't be happier and will be going back for more classes through our dog's adolescence to ensure we continue building a strong relationship and reinforce training through the most difficult times.
I would recommend both her group classes and a 1:1 session. I think the latter is invaluable in the first few days of puppy ownership, even if it's not your first puppy!

Really enjoyed our 6 week training course with Mary at Leaps and Bounds. She's helped us build a really good foundation with Rosie and I feel confident taking her training techniques forward. Highly recommend.
