My Luna has become such a confident social dog because of Chris and his amazing ability to match dogs within a group of similar and appropriate types. Being a military working family, it has been hard to leave our dog at home with no walks. Until Harris hounds. They collect her and drop her off with a key that is kept securely, post updates on her walks and what she has been up to and they take the most fantastic photos!! THANK YOU HARRIS HOUNDS!! You guys ROCK!!

Took my 10 month old cocker for her first groom with Charlotte today and I'm really happy with the result. She was kind, didn't force her (didn't trim one paw as my pup not happy for her to) and was prepared with lots of treats. My pup smells great and was happy. Following Harris Hounds on Facebook I could see how much fun Harris hounds gives everyone’s dogs and I couldn’t wait to see if Chris & Amy had space for my Cocker Spaniel Bleu I was really happy when they said they did .. Bleu met chris and within 2 days Bleu was out for his first walk . Meeting chris and finding out what Harris hounds offers I felt completely comfortable leaving Bleu in safe hands & for Chris to come to our home to pick Bleu up . Harris hounds keeps you posted on your dogs walk your dogs socialising videos & pictures of Bleu are enjoyable to see I’m so glad we were able to be part of Harris Hounds . Claire mum of Bleu 🐶

Can't recommend Harris Hounds enough! We recently got a border collie puppy, and with me and my wife both being key workers we have spent some time out of the house, so use the services of Harris hound to come over and let our dog out. They go above and beyond when they come over on a home visit, they play with the pup and do training to get her ready for when she can go out and walk with them. We also receive photo updates of Dolly and how see she's getting on! They're very professional in the way they conduct their business, everything is organized and planned a week in advance. Pricing is very reasonable and cheap for the services you get! The progression from the home visits is also something we are looking forward too, moving into the paddock sessions, then eventually the dog walks! Without a doubt the best dog walking service in plymouth!

Chris has been walking my dog Ruby for some weeks now as I just seem to be so busy with work at the moment and can't give her the time outdoors she deserves. Chris is clearly a dog lover through and through, Ruby took to him the minute they met. After the first free 30 minutes get to know each other walk she was sold and I signed up there and then. I have complete peace of mind when Ruby is out with Chris, knowing that she's in great hands and being well and truly looked after. Ruby loves the interactive and varied walks she has with Chris and the other pooches. An absolutely fantastic service all round and such reasonable prices.

Bobby the beagle absolutely loves his walks with Chris - mostly paddock sessions with a once a week group walk. It’s lovely to be able to watch the videos and pictures of him uploaded to the Harris Hounds page playing with all his friends and seeing what he gets up too. The communication has also been fab as Chris has kept me up to date with how Bobby has been during these sessions. I love that Harris Hounds also offer boarding- can’t wait to try this out next year. Would highly recommend. Our 9 month old puppy has recently spent the last couple of weeks with Chris for the purpose of socialising with other dogs. From first contact I have found Chris very professional and approachable and has always answered any questions via text in a reasonable time manner. The service provided is value for money and I feel really at ease knowing my boy is in very safe hands and having fun. I will continue to use this service as the collection/drop off to the door works for us around work commitments.

We have had our fox red lab Peggy going to paddock sessions since she was 6 months in June - she absolutely loves them! Chris and the team are great and very easygoing. They pick up and drop off Peggy and give her a good walk with lots of other dogs, which we find ideal for socialising her as a puppy. It’s also super convenient for when we are working. We love seeing videos and photos for every walk on the members page so we can see she’s behaving! 😄 HH are trustworthy and reliable - can’t recommend enough. Looking forward to Peggy being able to go out on group walks when she’s older 👍🏼

Although Bruno has only been walking with Chris and Amy for just over a week, we have been so happy, as has Bruno. We love that we can watch his walk on Facebook and know that he’s had such a great time. We were really struggling to get out with Bruno as much as he needed with the combination of lockdown and homeschooling. We contacted Harris Hounds after a friend recommended them, and they were so helpful and fit Bruno in the next day. I have been using Harris Hounds since my lab was 10 months old. She is now nearly two. Booking is efficient reliable and overall professional. I need flexibility due to my job and nothing is ever too much trouble even at short notice and most importantly, Willow is given a substantial varied walk to exercise her body and mind. We wouldn’t go anywhere else and Willow runs out the door as soon as she hears the door handle go 🐾

I have been using Harris Hounds for about a year, and I have had nothing but peace of mind whilst he has been in their care, including boarding with them, you are always kept up to date with videos and photos, even during grooming. It seems to me their number one priority is the welfare of your dog and making and keeping your dog happy. I can't recommend them highly enough, if you want worry free dog walking and grooming, then Harris Hounds is for you.

Cannot recommend Chris and his wife highly enough, you can absolutely ensure your dog gets a stimulating and fulfilling walk every time. We started walking our springer spaniel with Chris a couple of weeks ago, she is absolutely looked after 100% - group walks have been fantastic for socialising with other dogs, your peace of mind is guaranteed. This is backed up by videos that Chris sends that includes where they have been / how far / and how long. We used Harris hounds for our dogs first groom, they did a sterling job we were very satisfied with the finish. Reliability, communication and professionalism is second to none. Chris is an experienced dog owner and is always happy to help out with training advice as and when you need it. If you don’t get your dog walked with this guy - you need to!

Chris and Harris Hounds are fabulous. I was looking for a reliable flexible service for my 10 month old Labrador. I work shifts so sometimes I get kept on at work at short notice which Harris Hounds can accommodate. Harris Hounds are professional ensuring they understood all about Willow prior to taking her on, filling out a questionnaire of her likes and dislikes and behaviours. This was really re-assuring that they wanted to really understand her so they can look after her. I would have no hesitation in recommending Harris Hounds and Willow loves her walks.

We are really proud to belong to the Harris Hounds family. Ruby, our defiant black lab loves Chris and she gets so excited when he arrives at the door. She goes out with him once a week just to help her socialise with other dogs. It's like a play date with exercise. She has also been lucky enough to go one one of Chris's commando challenges and she loved it. It's more than exercise it's a valuable experience for your dog. Chris is always on hand for help and advice too. I cannot recommend Harris Hounds enough. Every dog should have the harris hound experience. 😁

We have been using Harris Hounds for regular dog walking for a few months now. Very pleased with the punctuality, professionalism and individualised levels of care Chris and Charlotte provide. Charlotte and Chris have always been courteous and professional I cannot fault them with the brilliant service they provide for my dog Reg, since moving back to Plymouth last year and was in need of a groomer for Reg. I'll never take him anywhere else. Charlotte has been brilliant and always groomed him with very high standards. I had always been nervous when it came to letting my dog near other dogs even with me as he's always played to rough and since I started going back to work in the office was in need of someone to take him on a big run. I reached out to Chris as he mentioned about socialising dog and that he ran a paddock session which would help. After. little chat and reassurance I booked Reg in for the off the lead club. When I saw Reg running around with all the other dogs I was over the moon. I can't wait for Reg to go to school every week and see the video that gets uploaded when they are all running around. There is no doubt about it best dog service around!

Chris and Charlotte looked after our 7 month old Border Collie for a couple of days and it was the first time he had been away from us. Not only was he given the attention a puppy of his age looks for but we were sent videos of the walks and fun he had while in their company. I have been using Harris Hounds for 2 weeks. Gypsy (miniature schnauzer) is quite vocal at other dogs when she is out on the lead with me. She is very friendly but people hear the bark and think otherwise. Due to lockdown - socialisation with other puppy’s was halted, due to puppy training classes closing. Chris collects Gypsy every Wednesday for the ‘off the lead ‘ paddock club. Gypsy loves this, being able to run around with other dogs and it’s great I also get to see her having fun as Chris will record and post onto his FB page! I’m also hoping it will improve her recall 🤦🏻‍♀️ Chris brings her back after a few hrs then it’s time for her tea and a very long snooze !! Totally 💯 happy with this service. Chris and Charlotte handed me a questionnaire to complete before they would accept my dog into their care. I was instantly reassured by the questions as this showed that they would look after our dog in a safe and controlled environment and genuinely wanted to care for the dog properly. After our first meeting I knew our dog would be comfortable and happy with Chris and his family. I can’t recommend them enough, if you want a gold standard service for you four legged children, this is the place to use.

We used Harris Hounds over the Christmas period when we knew we would not be home to give our boy the walks and attention he needed. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris who came to our home to meet our boy and chat through he needs, likes and dislikes - our boy was smitten. Chris just seems to ‘get’ dogs. Our boy is an 11 year old 9st Akita Rottweiler cross and his size and stature wasn’t too much for him. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Harris Hounds again on the occasions when our family life gets hectic.

Brady is 5 months old and from his first puppy pamper with Charlotte and now puppy socialisation groups with Chris he has been so well looked after. Brady was nervous at first but now gets excited to go, chris has put a lot of work in making him feel relaxed and comfortable! The Harris Hound team are amazing and so helpful. Chris runs the walking side of the business whilst charlotte is pampering those pouches down in the Harris Hound parlor.Chris strives to be transparent in his work by posting lots of photos and videos throughout the day to show where he is, what he is doing and the team of dogs he has at the time. He is conscientious of dog health and well being at all times and shows this within his regular blogs too. The Harris hound team are not adverse to admitting when things could perhaps run smoother and are very open in showing how things could run smoothly next time. Chris makes everyone feel welcome and is willing to put in the time and the long miles of walking to benefit the dogs in his care. I could not recommend Chris and Charlotte more highly.

I would recommend harris hounds 100% for an exceptional dog walking service! My dog leon is a rescue dog and is scared of men. Chris went out of his way to meet leon before hand to make leon feel at ease on his first walk! He now walks off the lead with chris in confidence and i feel safe knowing he is with chris.
