Jacqui is an amazing trainer. My one year old lab has learnt so much with Jacqui. We always have such fun and positive sessions. Jacqui is always on hand to answer any queries and is full of tips and advice. Her approach is firm but kind. We learn with precision and respect. Every session is planned and appropriate for my dog. Jacqui listens to what I want to get from the lessons and teaches accordingly. Most of all she instills a confidence in both myself and my dog. Each lesson is followed up with useful videos for reference and an emailed plan with what we have done and how we can continue to work for our next session. The training area is perfect. It’s calm and there is no distractions. I wouldn’t have anyone else help me with my training. I’m always so pleased with what we achieve.

I am a new dog owner only ever had sheepdogs which were actually my Dad's. My family decided we would get a working Cocker Spaniel called Fern, and what a roller coaster we have had with her. I love her nature she is FULL of beans and ever so stubborn. I came to Jacqui as I was very concerned, I was going to 'ruin' Fern and as i had never trained a dog and I wanted the best for Fern. I dont have time to take Fern out on a shoot and to be honest Fern is not interested in retrieving but I live in a heavily populated area for pheasants!! Fern's favourite to chase!! So we have worked hard at recall. Jacqui has listened to what I would like to achieve and is excellent at what she does. We have come on leaps and bounds but I know it is the amount I put into training is how we will succeed, going out for a walk with fern is a pleasure as we can run off the lead (Ferns favourite) and to heel, we have begun the stop whistle which is coming along we just need more patience from Fern who does not like to stay still. Thank you so much Jacqui see you next week for some more Caz training!! x

Jacqui was recommended to us by a neighbour so we booked a session for our rescue spaniel who has an extremely high prey drive. When we got him at 12 months old he had zero recall, no eye contact and only wanted to hunt. After the first session we were equipped with so much info and tools to begin a training programme with him. He responded so well, we saw immediate improvements in his recall and eye contact and his response to the whistle and commands. We went on to learn retrieve commands with him too. Jacqui is so tuned in to both owners and dogs she knows exactly what is needed. She went above and beyond to help us and we loved our sessions with her. I would recommend Jacqui to anyone who wants to deepen their relationship and knowledge with their dog.

Jacqui is amazing. I met her when I was at my wits end with an out of control, highly strung, adolescent working cocker. Jacqui’s brilliance is that she is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable with dogs, she is also a brilliant people person. My confidence and handling skills have improved enormously thanks to her skill, knowledge, kindness and patience. She created a fun training plan that worked and celebrated each improvement with us with real joy. I cannot believe the transformation that she has achieved in a few months. Our sessions are a highlight in my month and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

We three absolutely love our sessions with Jacqui. We started taking our very exuberant working golden retriever puppy Fred to her when he was about three-four months old for both general obedience and gundog training. She is both an absolutely lovely human and had an immediate affinity with Fred, easily commanding his respect and engagement. She has taught us and Fred so much. She tailors her training to the specific dog and its temperament and your lifestyle, sending you home with a personalised training plan. We travel from out of Devon to see her and she is also a great help from a distance between sessions. Cannot recommend Jacqui enough.

I can highly recommend Jacqui. I took my 15 week old Cocker Spaniel puppy who at the time was very miss behaved and just wanted to play. Jacqui set us up with a training program to carry out. 4 weeks later we had our second lesson, the difference in Bella's behaviour and obedience was amazing. If you are looking for the best dog trainer on Exmoor, look no further as Jacqui is the best! We have two dogs both different ages and personalities. Jacqui has been able to offer us tailored advice that has really made a huge difference. Not only does she help with the dogs behaviour but she also makes it easy to understand what we do as owners that might be adding to how our dogs behave. From helping with general dog training e.g. walking on and off the lead to brain training games as well gun dog training, Jacqui covers all areas you need when you are a dog owner. Overall fantastic service and I highly recommend Jacqui as a dog trainer!

Jacqui is simply amazing! My Spaniel and I have been training with Jacqui at her beautiful grounds on Exmoor and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She got my Spaniel to walk to heel in just 1 session - incredible! We have been doing basic gundog training and in only a few sessions, we have both learnt so much and Jacqui has given me the skills and confidence to train my dog myself. Jacqui is a lovely lady who will give you simple, yet effective guidance and training. We can’t wait to see you again!

Freddie, my rescue pointer from Greece didn’t even know his name so had zero recall not to mention a breed disposition to roam - some might think he was a hopeless case but Jacq’s training set me up to continue his training at home in between lessons and now his on-lead walking and recall are exemplary. Jacq gave just the right amount of detailed input and although you can always go to YouTube it is completely different working with a hands-on trainer because Jacq works with both dog and owner together as partners. Not that cheap but the cost for us of 3 lessons spread over a dog’s lifetime - how can that not be worth it?!

I initially brought my sprocker puppy to have a few one-to-one lessons but Jacqui was so helpful, I ended up bringing my older Vizsla along too who I thought was beyond hope! Both dogs responded very quickly and with a few games and following Jacqui’s straightforward instructions, we sorted out lead walking and heal quite quickly and we started working on recall and retrieval in a way that the dogs absolutely loved. I’ve gone from feeling like my dogs are beyond my control to proud of both of them and feeling like we have more of a partnership. Jacqui has such a positive way of teaching both the owner and the dog. 100% recommend, the dogs love the training and it’s so rewarding watching them improve with each session.

Jacqui is absolutely one in a million! We have worked with many dog trainers over the years but most of them left us feeling close to tears, like we were doing something wrong. Not Jacqui, she is so lovely and felt like a friend the moment we met her. We were getting pretty stressed trying to train our dog, convinced we must be useless till we met Jacqui. We love our training sessions with her and it obviously shows as we have had such wonderful results now with our dog. She senses we are happier and this then reflects in how she reacts to us and results in successful training. We come away feeling on cloud 9 every time with little bits of homework to practice when we come away. I have so many people comment on how well behaved my 5 month old puppy is and It’s all down to Jacqui. Worth every penny!
