Fur cottage is an amazing kennels and day care with great facilities! The owner Hayley has such an incredible knowledge of all things doggy and is more than happy to share her knowledge to support me with training my dog Charlie ! Charlie gets so excited to go to daycare and loves Hayley and all her staff to pieces. He sings all the way there 🤣🤣Won’t find anywhere better for your dogs to be -love that they post regular photo shoots of them too so I can see him having fun with his little and large doggy friends. 🐾🐾

Hayley and the staff at Fur Cottage are fantastic. They looked after my dogs,Ollie and Charlie, so well and kept me updated with photos on a regular basis and the dogs always looked like they were having a great time playing with the other dogs. I very highly recommend Fur Cottage to anyone who wants their dog or cat to have a great holiday and give you peace of mind while you are apart. I will definitely be send Ollie and Charlie back again soon

We dropped Lily and Madge off for the first time and immediately got a lovely warm feeling. While we were away there were pictures for us to see on Facebook and if we messaged always got a quick response with an update. We collected them and they had obviously had a ball. I would not hesitate to recommend Fur Cottage to anybody, truly fantastic. Hayley and the girls are just absolutely brilliant. Lily and Madge will certainly be returning.

I would highly recommend Fur Cottage both for training and residential care.It is a highly professional establishment where the welfare of clients animals is paramount. The owner has extensive experience and has used her skill and knowledge to enable me to turn my relationship with my dogs around resulting in walks and outings now being a pleasure rather than something to be dreaded and visits to the vets no longer to be viewed with trepidation. Molly, my Shih Tzu, just spent over two weeks at Fur Cottage and loved every minute of it. Great photos were posted to keep me updated while I was away and seeing her playing with the other dogs made me worry she wouldn't want to come home with me! Below is a pic outside throughly enjoying herself and as usual looking as though she had rolled round in the mud. Trust me she looked worse in some as she played happily with other dogs. (Rest assured she came home lovely and clean.) I mis-calculated her feed and Fur Cottage made sure she ate well so don't ever worry. Our Denzel was a rescue dog and we didn’t know if he had stayed in Kennels before.The ladies at Fur cottage were brilliant with him for the week he was there. He even came home showing more confidence. The photos on their Facebook page were lovely to see of him. Would never consider taking him anywhere else in the future. Thank you Fur cottage.

Highly recommended. Leaving my big dog, Gnasher, who is massively anxious, old and in need of special attention, was a worry. Hayley and her team put my mind at rest every step of the way. Every email was answered promptly, regardless of how much I bothered them, totally professional and experienced. Reassured beforehand and regular updates throughout Gnasher's stay. If you have a 'special' dog, I can honestly say, the time and effort they take is over and above any expectations. Facilities are top class, but the care is wonderful.

We boarded our girls here 3 years ago when we went on holiday and I must say say I was scared leaving our girls for the first time, not because of the kennels but because they are my babies. We'd been to view a few kennels earlier in the day and they all turned us away or wanted extra just because one of our dogs was a huskita, she was only 10months old aswel so still a baby. But just by chance we stumbled across hayleys kennels as we took a wrong turn, which turned out to be the best wrong turn we could've taken. Our girls absolutely loved it there, every day we got updates on them and photos of them running around and exercising. It really made us feel at ease knowing they were somewhere safe and being loved on, rather than just seen as a paycheck for their week stay. The kennels itself has only gone from strength to strength and hayley and her team and have done extensive amount of work on the kennel and made it a a holiday for the dogs, they never look unhappy or sad to be there. We have only boarded our dogs there the once, but I know if we needed to board them again it'd only be this place I'd trust them to go to. If your in doubt, just follow their Facebook page and you will see for yourself how loved people's dogs are here and we'll cared for they are.

100% recommend Im very particular as to where I would leave my dog and with whom you will not be disappointed with the love and care that your 4 legged friends get here second to none I studied animal care at myerscough for 2 years and worked at the pdsa I've been an assured breeder with the kennel club and worked at different rescue centres so I have some understanding of what dogs require qnd this place ticks qll the boxes lucky to of found it my boy is so happy there

What a fantastic kennels. Donnie (our dog) had the best time, he was so happy and relaxed from when we dropped him off to when we picked him up (the absolute opposite to how he was at the last kennels we took him to). The picture and video updates on Facebook were such a lovely touch, and great to see how he was getting on. Thank you to Hayley and the team, you do a brilliant job. Donnie can’t wait for his next stay already.

Fantastic Kennels. Flash our Cavalier KC loves spending time with Hayley and the team. His tail wags on overdrive when he jumps out of the car to stay at Fur Cottage. He is very well looked after and feel very reassured he is receiving the best care possible. With regular play times in the paddock with lots of his furry friends, games of fetch and lots and lots of cuddles. We collected him today after his Easter holiday their and he came home exhausted from all his play - he’d even had morning fun jumping in and out of the hose pipe spray. Happy doggy, now sleepy doggy. I would recommend Fur Cottage in a heart beat - very friendly team who provide the best services

Hayley and her team are so passionate about all the cats and dogs that stay there. They post updates and photos on Facebook and you can tell they are all having a ball. One of my dogs can be a biter but rest assure she is fine at these Kennels I was so panicky leaving her here for the first time and then I get a photo of her sat on hayleys knee enjoying a good stroke!! Fur Cottage is such a wonderful place! Norman (my cockerpoo) has been going to daycare, 4 days a week for 3 years now and I wouldn't change it for the world. Hayley and the team are just fantastic, the care and attention they give to Norman is tremendous. Norman loves spending time with all his doggy pals and comes home shattered every evening. I never have to worry as I know from the minute I drop him off to when I collect him he is in the best hands possible and I would never take Norman anywhere else. Would I recommend Fur Cottage to others… absolutely, hands down the best around. Thanks guys !

My new husband and I booked our two frenchies - Harley and Haze into fur cottage whilst we got married. They were so highly recommended and now I can see why! This was the first time we have left either of them with anybody, other than ourselves. Hayley and the team put our minds at ease from the very moment that we called up about them staying over. All the team are very friendly and are devoted to their jobs. Fur cottage is truly a home away from home and our babies were treated like their own. The kennels are clean, spacious and well maintained. They have access to outdoors and our girls were able to socialise with other dogs and the team whilst being there. To make the experience even better we were sent pictures of them each day. I would highly recommend Fur Cottage to everyone and in the future will definitely be using them again! 5 stars isn’t enough! My working German Shepherd stayed with Hayley at Fur Cottage over the past few days. I'm very impressed by Hayley who has worked dogs for many years and this experience and knowledge clearly shows in her care, commitment and welfare of the dogs entrusted to her. Hayley is unique in that she has a superb understanding of dogs and you can genuinely see her passion for working with them. This is reflected in her outlook.....it's really not just simply a job or business, dogs (and cats) are her way of life. Fur Cottage has spacious and very clean kennels, it's obvious the dogs are exercised as pictures of this are posted, when I collected my dog, there was no 'kennel smell' (usually stale urine). I can categorically say my dog was very well looked after and I collected a very happy dog! I would not hesitate to recommend Hayley and Fur Cottage as I work in a similar field as she used to and Hayley knows her stuff. A straight forward lady who's all about dogs. Paddy and Fergus stayed for the first time. This kennel was recommended to us by a friend and we were impressed. Both dogs came away happy and were well looked after. Brilliant place, take the couple of silly reviews on here with a large pinch of salt. Have brought my Beagle here since l got her over a year ago, about six times in total and always come back in great condition and tired but happy. Regular updates, videos or pics of your dog are posted so you can see your dog enjoying the great all weather facilities that the current owner has worked so hard on to ensure your dog can enjoy secure outside activity in all weathers. This is definitely not one of those kennels where the dog is locked in a pen most of the time, only seeing someone when they're fed. Very reasonably priced too and staff are lovely and owner very experienced in dog welfare and training and very helpful. Would never take my dog anywhere else.

Hayley came around for our first 1-2-1 session today. Firstly, we paid for an hour ... and she did not leave until she had a thorough understanding of our situation. This took over an hour and a half and she never batted an eye. She came up with good plans of action that gave me hope for our rescue dog and was flexible in coming up with ideas for when I need to be away next week. It is seldom that you come across a person who does something from the heart these days, as everyone is selfish and after more money - not Hayley. Her motivation is the welfare of the dogs she works with and their owners. I read the previous post by Paul? I smell a rat... 5 weeks notice of a dog being ill? What unfatal condition takes 5 weeks to mend? I am sure that there is more to this than appears on the review and my experience of Hayley tells me she is straight talking, organised and a very fair person. I asked Hayley about it and she said she had 4 empty kennels on a bank holiday weekend because people just failed to cancel or turn up! This is a business guys, if you want courteous service, you need to at least show some courtesy yourself - not exploit a really brilliant service by a good person charging a very reasonable fee.

Our retriever has been with Fur cottage several times and from other experiences this place is by far the best. Ex dog handler certainly comes at the top with understanding dog behaviour and needs. Our dog goes in and comes out happy and well looked after . For me to take time to type and give 5 stars to someome certainly deserves it. shame I can't go higher .

Hayley really has the dog's best interest at heart. We took our dog Reggie in for day care, and after having spent a year in the RSPCA, he thought he was being abandoned again and did not want to go in. Instead iof forcing the issue to make a day's money, Hayley agreed that we must not force him or he will be put off and have a negetive experience. Instead, she offered to come and visit us at home to help build his trust and work towards visiting day care. She really instilled our trust in her and we are looking forward to working with her.
