I have been attending training with my reactive 11 month old Doberman for around 6 weeks now. The change in Klaus has been phenomenal really, from not being able to be in the training area without lunging and barking at other dogs at any distance. To playing and interacting with Les and Donna's dog off the lead with no reactivity at all. From the first one to one Les and Donna were welcoming and understanding of the issues I was having with Klaus and set out a clear training plan which best suited his needs and my schedule. From day one, Les has improved me as a dog owner and handler and I now have confidence when out with Klaus that any situation I go into with him I will know what to do. The training all really culminated in a socialisation session in which Klaus was able to join in, and really benefit from being around a number of different breeds, which he hadn't managed to do for some months. Whilst we still have a long way to go in our training, I could not recommend Les and the rest of the guys at K9 of LC enough. They have changed the relationship I have with Klaus and I am incredibly grateful to them for helping me.

Our 3 year old German shepherd has now been coming to K9 of LC for around 10 months. The progress we have made with Bobby has been incredible. From him being labelled as "aggressive" by his previous trainer, working with Les at K9 of LC has proved that Bobby can be around other dogs, be calm and we can communicate with him in ways we never thought possible. Les understood Bobbys needs from our consultation, where both Les and Donna made us feel very welcome, understood and helped structure a training plan that works for us and Bobby.i cannot recommend this team of professional trainers enough. They Dont judge the ability of your dog based on their history, but see the potential and set clear and realisic goals. The environment is safe for socialising and have excellent equipment to build on your dogs confidence and communication. I recommend Les and the team to anyone who could benefit from training. We haven't looked back since. And more importantly, Bobby loves coming to raining and seeing Les, and Bobby doesn't like everyone so easily 🤣

We have been bringing our 3 year old, unsocialised reactive rescue dog Shelby to Les for just over a week for one to one sessions, and what a massive difference it has made to us all! Before contacting K9ofLC, Shelby pulled us in every direction on walks, barked and lunged at every dog she saw, no matter how far away they were, and had no interest in toys. After a week of training with Les, Shelby is not only walking at our side, but today she was on the same training field as 6 dogs with minimal reaction. We never thought that could happen!... And she loves her toys now too! We have thoroughly enjoyed our one to one's and have learnt so much, and looking forward to joining class. In my opinion K9ofLC is the only choice if you need any help, we're so grateful to Les for his patience and doggy wisdom....and to Donna for ringing us back! Thank you so much! Willow has been going to K9ofLC B.E.S.T. puppy class since she was 10 weeks old ,she is now just 7 months of age. The knowledge and understanding that we have gained over this time has been a huge asset in the development and welfare of our puppy , who is turning out to be the dog we have always wished for. To be able to socialise your dog in a safe controlled environment and to gain some insight into the psychology of dogs helps massively in becoming a responsible caring dog owner , whilst having a highly enjoyable time doing so. I can only praise all of the staff and helpers for making our time there so very rewarding , thank you, Helen /Neil/Willow.

100% recommend trying k9 of LC! I've taken Bobby (our now 3 year old rescue German Shepherd) to other training before and never have we ever had such amazing progress over a short amount of time ❤ we have been struggling for a while with Bobby's behaviour, and he has been deemed an "aggressive dog" by his previous trainer. however, since taking him to K9 of LC, Les has shown and proven to us that this is not the case and Bobby is not a lost cause because of his behaviour. Les has helped me and my partner rebuild better bond than ever with Bobby, showing us how to properly handle and work with Bobby's strengths. We have regained our confidence alongside building Bobby's confidence. We look forward to our weekly sessions and so does Bobs! thank you Les for your ongoing support

Incredible team, amazing support, and all our dogs have come on leaps and bounds since we started going. K9 of LC is like a big family of kind, supportive and knowledgable staff who are always so helpful, accommodating and hardworking. Both me and my mum are so happy we found them we really enjoy all our classes and look forward to going to the classes where we always find a friendly face (who the dogs also love!) we have seen so much improvement in all our dogs and most importantly our knowledge and confidence in our handling of the dogs has improved so much! Would recommend to anyone who would like some help with training. All the staff are so attentive and understanding and there is never a query they cannot help with! One of our younger dogs has struggled with fear and is very timid and the difference from when we started to now is unbelievable! These people really do know dogs and they know how to help you to understand your dog and your dog’s behaviour and needs better! Not only are they knowledgeable but they are also caring of both you and your dogs so training is always positive and uplifting for you and your pets! Amazing team! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Over the moon with the 1:1 training sessions with Mary at K9 of LC, she put me at ease and gave me the confidence I needed to take control of the relationship with my dog. She was incredibly patient and thorough and made sure to get to the bottom of all my needs/wishes. I've since moved to the group sessions and I was instantly put at ease by Les who is excellent. He explains what and why we are doing to give a better understanding into the dogs behaviour. I'm so pleased I found them and can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring.

It’s hard to find the words to describe how fantastic this place is, however Ill give it a go! As someone with a disability, dog training is not easy. But ever since I turned up at K9, Les and the team have gone out of their way to make life with my new puppy, Eric, as simple as possible. From helping me with recall to recommending the best bits of equipment to use whilst training my naughty pup! Not only that but Les has also helped to adapt my wheelchair, my car and also made a ramp in order to get into the centre itself - TALK ABOUT GOING THE EXTRA MILE! The training itself has been quality too, and already (within a week) I’m starting to see real results; especially with recall. If you’re looking for a dog trainers who really care and will go out of their way to ensure results, then K9 of LC B.E.S.T is the place to go. Myles

5 stars just isn't enough stars! Fantastic facilities for all weather conditions. All positive reinforcement based training. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Private or group sessions tailored to your needs. Value for money, for the quality of service provided, is second to none ! I could go on ! Such knowledgeable trainers helped me feel confident and in safe hands. The classes are never overcrowded, unlike other centres I have attended in the past, making it feel a much safer environment to train. Les has gone out of his way to help me and my dog, we have improved so much in a relatively short time thanks to all the great help and advice. My dog absolutely loves his sessions, it's loads of fun for both of us ! It is quite clear that there is a genuine passion for what they do here, you will not find a better place to train your dog!

I can't recommend K9 of LC highly enough! If you're looking for an experienced dog trainer in the North West look no further. K9 of LC have very talented staff and great facilities. I've a very excitable 9 month old Border Collie/Labrador and we've now had 2 one to one sessions with Les Caldecott. In those two sessions Les taught me dozens of techniques to help me communicate with my dog and develop a better "walking relationship"!!! 😄 Les also taught me some dance moves!
