We have used Ritchie a number of times for cat visits over the last couple of years and I can’t recommend him enough. He is so passionate about what he does and it gives us such peace of mind leaving our cat in his capable hands. Ritchie gives our cat plenty of fuss and attention while we’re away and sends us a daily update with lovely photos, which are always a highlight of our day!

Ritchie has been walking my dog for over a year now. He has been incredible at adapting to my needs when my pup has been young, had an injury or I have had to change arrangements due to work. My dog is always extremely happy to see him and I thoroughly enjoy my daily photo and video updates! Ritchie looked after our 1 year old cat while we were away and I couldn't have asked for a better service. He is very thorough in understanding what care your pet needs and what their personality is like, as a result our cat was very happy in his care. He kept us updated with photos at every visit which was really nice too.

Ritchie & Amber took really good care of our two cats, visiting twice daily, for two weeks while we were away. One of our cats has diabetes & needs twice daily insulin injections which they took in their stride. The daily WhatsApp updates & photos were great, seeing both cats happy & relaxed at home. We’re super happy with how things went and have no hesitation going back to Ritchie and Amber next time we’re away or in recommending them. If our cats could speak, I’m sure they would say thanks.

Ritchie is absolutely fantastic! My dog loves going for walks with him, he’s always so happy in photos and videos received and knackered when he gets home. Ritchie is always so friendly and responsive to messages. I always receive a little message and plenty of photos/videos after the walk to tell me how the walk has gone which is lovely and a huge reassurance. It is clear that Ritchie absolutely loves his job and the animals he cares for! Thank you so much! Highly recommend!

Our puppy has settled in really well in to her walking group thanks to Richie. His enthusiasm and excellent care have made it one of her favourite times in the week and it has made a big difference to our working lives. I was so happy with the cat sitting we had. The initial meeting was professional and detailed and immediately settled any nerves about the experience. During our holiday, we got regular photos and updates and we saw how comfortable and well looked after our cats were. Ritchie is professional, friendly and fantastic with our dog whose session with him and her dog buddies there is one of her favourite times of the week. She is full of happy squeals when she sees him and is clearly having the best time in the photos he sends from their sessions. We have also used Ritchie's garden watering and house check service during holidays. He is completely reliable and dedicated to every aspect of his business. He is kind and caring with both dog and human family members and will makes sure he is aware of any issues at each session. We have been confident in his approach to the latest safety measures and he goes over and above to be sure all goes smoothly and everyone is comfortable. He brings joy to each day with the animals, and if there were more stars I would rate him higher! Highly recommend.

A wonderful experience and I really appreciate the extent Ritchie went to to look after my two pets. I enjoyed the visit prior to my holiday where he met them, he was very eager and lovely, and although my pets were a little bit shy they didn't seem afraid at all! It was extremely nice receiving photos during the period I was away, I was able to share them with family and friends, and it made me feel better knowing that my pets were well looked after. Ritchie took extra care of my pets and went beyond expectations! I found Ritchie through a web search. His was very communicative and we made an appointment for him to come and visit us and our 2 rabbits. We have 2 house rabbits who are quite high maintenance, with a very set routine, 1 of which suffers with stress to the point where he can start pulling out his fur. Ritchie came and met us and the rabbits and we ran through everything. We have only ever left our rabbits with 1 person other than family, in the last 6 years but as soon as we met Ritchie we knew he would go above and beyond to look after them. The business had not been going that long, but his attention to detail was amazing, trying to keep everything the same for the rabbits. He asked all the right questions and we knew he would get it right and importantly, he put us at ease and we trusted him to do a great job and take care of our bunnies. Both Ritchie and his wife Amber are absolutely lovely people and is too much trouble. Ritchie has a natural connection and genuine interest in animals. He was so keen to get everything right. A few days before we went away, he came over and we ran through everything again. He stayed in our house with his wife Amber to look after the rabbits. Everyday, they sent photos and an update which was so reassuring, allowing us to really enjoy our break. The rabbits looked happy, chilled and content. The house was spotless when we arrived home and they left a wonderful ‘welcome home’ note, which was a really lovely touch. Meeting Ritchie and Amber has opened up a new avenue for us. I cannot praise him or recommend him enough. I would never trust anyone other than Ritchie to care for our precious bunnies.

Ritchie has been an amazing help with our Labradoodle puppy. She's too young to walk very far at the moment, so instead of walking, Rich visits her to keep her company, play both physical and mental games and feed her etc. We can now go off to work confident that our puppy will still have a great day. Ritchie and Amber looked after our rabbit, Harry while my wife and I were away for a week. They were absolutely brilliant, providing us with a daily WhatsApp update with some great photos, and making sure Harry was happy and comfortable. They took extra care to help Harry settle in, meeting him in advance and replicating his home setup as much as possible. He had a spacious hutch to stay in, and every day Ritchie and Amber got him out into a run on the lawn for a few hours. Harry came back very happy and relaxed, so think he had a good week! We'd highly recommend PHG Southampton!

I think all the previous reviews have said it all! Ritchie is just brilliant & so professional. He has been wonderful with our Border Collie, Finn. Recently he has introduced "Gary "who walked Finn during our recent holiday.. I knew if recommended by Ritchie I wouldn't have any worries. He was fantastic with Finn & kept me updated daily. Ritchie and Amber looked after our cat Boston while me and my girlfriend Justyna went on a holiday. I'd like to give them the best possible recommendation, we came back home to meet a very happy and healthy cat. They have send us updates every day with details about how Boston is doing along with pictures and videos. Thanks to them our holiday was great as we did not have to worry about him and our home as well as they were coming in every day. They are certainly professionals and Boston was very happy around them and he is a very shy cat ! He had urinal infection a week prior to their visits and they have followed his diet routine and took a good care of him. Will definitely use them again as they are lovely friendly people thanks to whom we could focus on having a good time while we have been away. Thank you !

Ritchie and Amber visited our 3 cats while we were away on our summer holidays, we had been concerned about leaving them alone for such a long period of time but couldn't have been happier knowing that Amber was visiting them everyday and making sure they were all fine. I and my husband had the chance to meet Ritchie and Amber while looking for a pet sitter for our loved cat Cleofe. We realized immediately they were professional, organized and with a great passion for pets. While away they would provide daily photos and videos of Cleofe and we could see she was well looked after and playful. We then felt she was safe and well. They even prepared a welcome back note with Cleo's best pics and a lovely message that really made us realise even more how lovely these they are. We do recommend Ritchie and Amber 100%. It is so important and rare to find serious, organized and well behaved pet sitters and we will definitely have them looking after Cleofe again. Thank you ever so much xxx

Ritchie has walked our dog Sooty since January. Sooty is very weary around men, however Ritchie made him feel so comfortable that they soon hit it off. Sooty is so excited for Ritchie to come through the door every day to take him for his walk. Ritchie will always go the extra mile, and has helped me at the weekends to come in and check on sooty while we have been out for the day. Sooty loves Ritchie and I love seeing the bond develop between them. Ritchie really is a honest, caring, hardworking and reliable person, who I can rely on to always be there for sooty.
