Our puppy has just completed the 6 week foundation course and we couldn’t praise the course highly enough. Jules made everyone (dogs and owners) welcome, was so patient, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. She taught us owners how to train our dogs using positive reinforcement which I have to say has made such a difference to our confidence and we really have seen a marked improvement in our puppy’s learning. She gives you the foundation to build on. Our puppy is extremely lively and with the help of Jules we definitely feel we have the tools to support her. The sessions were fun for everyone, the atmosphere so relaxed and the time zoomed by.

After quite a few changes in our home, including a new baby, we hired Jules to help with our dogs behaviour. We chose the 3 week follow up plan and it was well worth the money. As a new mum with a young baby it was the best decision I made to restore some calm and confidence back in the home. Many people told me my dog just needed time to get used to adjust but she’s a member of my family not just a pet and I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to make sure she is happy. The sessions were enjoyable and easy to follow and Jules sent detailed reports after each session which I am able to return to to help me stay on track. Jules is really friendly, helpful and professional. I know it’s not a quick fix and takes time and effort but we’ve already noticed improvements. I’d thoroughly recommend Jules.

Jules visited our home as a package we paid for. A dog with deep complex issues. Jules talked us through different ideas to try, work we could do with her. Understanding how the dog is thinking and feeling. The dog is a work in progress but everything in her time. Would highly recommend

We attended the 6 week puppy course with our pup. The sessions were well-organised in a safe and secure outdoor setting. Jules provided lots of reassurance and practical tips and the course notes were helpful. The sessions were great for reinforcing things we were doing at home already and testing them in a different environment and we learned things we hadn't thought about as well. We are continuing on to the lead walking and recall course soon.

I first met Jules on a 1:1 session to help me with my puppy who found it hard to be left on his own. She gave me great tips and advice. By the end of the session she really boosted my confidence in being able to train my pup. I then signed up to the six week foundation course which was great, filled with interacted exercises that really helped training the basics. The atmosphere was always fun and relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed the 6 week puppy class that Jules runs, so much so that we are following on with the foundation course. Jules has a wonderful training manner with both pups and owners and always makes time for everyone’s questions. We have learnt a great deal from the positive enforcement training that she provides and our excitable cockapoo has taken to the training well and can now follow all the basic commands taught. We attended 6 weeks of puppy classes with Talk to the Hound, which gave us the confidence with training our excitable puppy. At a later stage I also had a couple of 1:2:1 sessions with my adolescent puppy to recap and reinforce training techniques. I would highly recommend Jules, she is very knowledgeable and very supportive.

Our 14 month old Rottweiler puppy was having adolescence issues with recall, loose lead walking and distractions. Jules put an structured programme of four 1-1 sessions together for us to work on these issues. During the sessions she provided training, tips and advice and followed up with a full recap of each session via email. What I especially liked was that she dynamically changed the training based on how it was progressing and she was focused on both pup and carer. The first 3 training sessions were conducted in a private field and the final one in an open area to test what we'd both learnt. I have no hesitation in recommending Jules as a dog trainer - she is excellent.

Amazing. Jules has been helping us with our rescue dog who has been with us for a few months. We have only had three sessions so far but have already noticed improvements......both with the dog's behaviour, and also our own ! We needed training as much as our dog did and Jules manages to combine the two aspects with a real sense of teamwork and positivity. Jules really takes the time to understand our dog and is helping us to do the same. We look forward to her visits. Our dog, who can be nervous around strangers, immediately took to Jules and now takes her toys and asks for kisses.....this was amazing to witness and really gives us hope that with ongoing sessions with Jules we will enable our dog to be the best she can be and more importantly to live her best life. Highly recommended! Moki my Border Terrier and I have had three 1-1 sessions so far and have learnt so much. We are seeing the fruits of our training out on walks for sure. Jules has been really helpful and we'll be back for another session soon.

When I got my puppy in lockdown last year, I decided to go for 1-2-1 sessions with Jules. These sessions were really informative especially as this was my first dog. After Willow went into her adolescence her behaviour reverted slightly and so I decided to go back and complete the foundation training course. Honestly this was so helpful at working on Willow’s behaviour and especially her recall. Willow is quite a shy dog and I feel that completing this course has helped build both mine and Willow’s confidence. I couldn’t recommend Jules enough!

Our pup has been receiving 1-1 training with Jules for the last 4 weeks and has come on leaps and bounds with her expert guidance. She has a lovely calm manner that puts both Zola and us at ease with really great guidance on what works best for our dogs breed (strong scent driven breed). She has followed up every visit with a detailed recap so that we can practice with Zola and reinforce what we have learned. We really feel that the 1-1 training has been hugely beneficial for us with our rescue pup and has given us so much more confidence with her, brilliant value for money. We are really looking forward to the foundation course starting next week to learn even more with other pups.

I participated in a puppy and foundation training course for my cockerpoo and have enjoyed them immensely as did my puppy! Jules is so patient and positive and makes you feel like you can do it and takes the time to explain what is going on in your dogs mind so that you can know how to react and address their reaction in differing siutations. I have lots of great tips and training methods to work with as my pup matures and he is responding well to them and as Jules advises little and often is best. Outside classes are in a lovely setting and something to look forward to. I would highly recommend Talk to the Hound for puppies, dogs and their owners as you will benefit from the classes and enjoy them.

We have now used Talk to the hound (Jules Harrison) for a number of the facilities she offers. We have done face to face 1to1 training, online 1 to 1 training and also a little of the face book live sessions. We have been extremely impressed with the standard that Jules delivers, which is both very professional and also user friendly! Our pug puppy Ziggy has responded well to the training he has received, and the ‘hints and tips’ Jules has shared with us have worked well. Jules follow up e-mails, which include training video support have been brilliant and very useful. Overall we would Highly recommend Talk to the hound for anyone requiring these services.

Jules is great. I have completed several courses with her and my cocker spaniel Jasper. She explains everything very clearly, and builds in progression when pups are doing well. Unlike some dog trainers, Jules focuses much more on the behaviour and motivation of the dog, rather than just barking orders at the owner. We have been so impressed with the help provided by Jules and Talk To The Hound. Smudge our 8 year old Maltese Shih Tzu cross has always been a very anxious dog snd we have used the services of dog behaviourists in the past which nit much success Smudge had however major spinal decompression surgery in January 2020 and since then his anxiety levels have heightened greatly. Jules helped us with strategies and ideas to use with Smudge to help him cope in stressful situations. Her approach was just lovely. So calm and caring. Smudge took to Jules immediately and it was so lovely to see him responding calmly. Jules worked with us and Smudge over 3 sessions - 2 at home and 1 out at a local park. Smudge responded really well and we are continuing to work with him using the ideas Jules suggested. He is generally much calmer and content. Would highly recommend Jules and Talk To The Hound. We signed up to do the online 6 week programme due to lockdown, you can complete this at your own pace. The training videos are so informative, we have learnt so much already! We have only been doing the course for 3 weeks but Jules goes above and beyond to help in anyway she can with any problems you maybe facing, even ones that aren't included in the course and is always willing to offer advice and put your mind at ease! We will continue to progress with Jules at TTTH for aslong as we need too as i believe its such good value for money. You can really tell that Jules cares so much for what she does and will only do what is best for you and your dog! Could not recommend them enough!!
