I chose Mona Dog training based on Kathryn's achievements with her dogs as described on her website as for me getting my miniature dachshund well trained was vital as I was so conscious that they can be hard to train. Never did I expect the puppy class to well exceed my hopes, Kathryn is absolutely incredible and I never dreamt that we could progress so fast. Kathryn truly understands dogs and exactly how to get the best out of both dog and handler. We have now started the bigger KC class and are just as happy, we certainly would never look anywhere else for dog training and highly recommend Kathryn to anyone who truly wants to learn how to work with their dog happily, obediently, safely and calmly. Thank you Kathryn we absolutely love our classes.

We have just completed Kathryn's 6 week puppy training course. All the puppies clearly enjoyed the course and I think the owners too! Scampi can confidently do all the basics - sit, down and stay. But perhaps more importantly is confident with other dogs and people. We look forward to the results from "big dog" training.

So lucky to find this excellent dog training club near Telford. Kathryn Gillard is an outstanding & very accomplished trainer who can cope with breeds of all shapes & sizes. My very bouncy Brittany puppy loved it. And we both learned so much. Kathryn is very patient and very clear in her methods which work for any dog. Uses one of her own brilliant dogs to demonstrate. All the puppies improved no end. The best start you could possibly have for them.

We have just completed the six week puppy course with Kathryn and it has been a fantastic experience for both our puppy and us. Through Kathryns positive and evidence based training methods she has enabled us to train and understand our needs dog allowing her to grow and develop within a stable and positive home environment. In addition to this Kathryn makes her self available for a short period before each lesson for some 1-2-1 coaching if required. We now have the opportunity to move o to the Kennel Club Bronze, Silver and Gold awards and we shall definitely be taking this up. All in all I cannot recommend Kathryn enough, any future puppies will definitely be on her courses.

We have just finished a six week course with our lab puppy Poppy. This is the second time we have used Kathryn and have always found her to be extremely professional and knowledgeable. You can tell she really loves her job and she is very patient and kind with both the owners and dogs! I cannot recommend her highly enough and we have really enjoyed our Thursday nights as a family. We miss going but will certainly carry on the good work we have learned in the classes.

Sarah and myself are not new to dog owning but decided upon getting our new family member Willow a Welsh Cardigan Corgi to attend puppy training classes. After a search for classes in Telford and reading reviews we decided to choose Kathryn Gillard at Mona Dog Training. Kathryn is very approachable and friendly. She gets to know the owners and dogs very quickly. The puppy socialising seemed like organised chaos but you soon realised how this helped each puppy to come out of their shell and you saw their personalities shine. The positive treat and fuss based training is great fun for both you and your puppy. The classes have now ended but we will continue the training using Kathryn's methods and tips. I have just sent an email enquiring about further advanced classes as we were so pleased with the Puppy Foundation Course. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kathryn.

We have used Mona Dog Training several times over the years and have always been very pleased with the level of knowledge, help and support that Katherine gives. There was a nice mix of dogs and handlers, which gave the puppies and their owners the space and confidence to learn in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. I would fully recommend joining these classes as both dogs and owners gain a great deal from attending these well run classes.

Over the years I've taken 3 puppies to Mona puppy classes with success every time. Classes are enjoyable for pups and people, Kathryn is knowledgeable and kind to all she treats us as individuals as some puppies require a slightly different approach to some exercises. Our young dog now walks to heel or loose lead and we have no trouble with recall. I can thoroughly recommend this class.

Our German Shepherd puppy has risen through the ranks from puppy training, starting training at exactly 12 weeks old, to Kennel Club classes. He is now 7 months old and and both he and us are benefiting enormously from Kathryn’s classes. We find them challenging and rewarding, they stretch us and the dog. The classes also provide excellent opportunities for socialisation, something we have been keen to do with our German Shepherd from day one. Without any doubt, Kathryn has an excellent understanding of dogs and their behaviour, and she delivers the class in an engaging and enjoyable way. We have attended many classes now and have benefited from every one of them. We will be going for KC bronze very soon and fully intend to continue through to gold. We would recommend Mona Dog Training without hesitation to anybody wanting to properly socialise their puppy and then to train them to be well behaved dogs.

We have been training our border terrier pups with Kathryn for the last six weeks and the results have been excellent. From early socialization to the skills needed to guide and help your dogs behavior we have learnt so much. We had terriers before and thought we were well versed actually Kathryn has enhanced our ability to train our new puppies. To say we are delighted with the results is an understatement and we also met some lovely people with their dogs too. I would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent and very friendly club.

We have just completed a 6 week puppy course with our springador, Max. We have thoroughly enjoyed these sessions and have learnt a variety of strategies and built our confidence in training. Our whole family, including children, have been involved and encouraged throughout. Kathryn’s methods are based on positive, clear instructions and have been easy to continue in our own time. The venue is a great size and we have met some lovely dogs (and owners!) during our time there. Highly recommended.

I took my Ridgeback puppy to Kathryn just before Christmas along with other owners in a full class that included all varieties of puppy’s of differing personalities and temperaments. Needless to say, it wasn't overcrowded and each puppy had the time to learn and socialise. Kathryn was entirely helpful and made suggestions about training that , even as an experienced dog owner, I had not thought of or heard of. She was polite, smiley, clear and respectful and appeared to have great knowledge about all the different breeds and how to handle them. She was dog focussed. I’m on the waiting list for the second phase of training. Kathryn’s classes seem busy (not over crowded) and you have to be quick to join but when you do, you really won’t be disappointed. It’s positive repetitive and reward based. So if someone is looking for a quick fix for a “difficult dog“, then they should consider more one to one tailored support. Note: Kathryn was highly recommended by a friend who attended with two Rottweiler puppies. Also an experienced owner of supposedly ‘difficult breeds’!

Great classes - 6 week puppy class gave us a great head start both on and off lead for all the useful commands. We continue to attend regular training and our dog really enjoys it, Kathryn always greets him with liver cake and for that he is very attentive! It is so important to have control over your dog from an early age and Kathryn gives you tips and training which enables you to have a rewarding relationship with your canine companion for life. Socialisation as a puppy is really key in a happy dog and even if you can teach basic commands at home, doing it in this environment will be much more beneficial for your dog! Couldn't recommend more!

Excellent Puppy Training course! Along with being extremely knowledgeable and experienced, Kathryn is friendly and approachable. Her tips and advice were invaluable to us. Our whippet puppy Luna and I learnt so much from the classes and they really helped her become a lovely member of our family. She is a a very well behaved and sociable dog. I would highly recommend Kathryn’s classes whether you have a problem dog or (like us) just want to learn the basics.

We enrolled our 11 week old Goldendoodle, Henry into the initial 6 week puppy training sessions. Kathryn's training technique is excellent and the 3 of us have already learnt so much!! After 6 training sessions, Henry is a now a confident puppy and can do all of the basics such as sit, stay, down etc and also has very good recall which is so important. It is great for dog socialising too and as soon as we pull up on the car park, Henry gets so excited about greeting his new friends. Not only does Kathryn deliver engaging training sessions but she is also on hand to offer personal guidance and advice which has been invaluable to us at times. She has helped us to become positive dog owners. We were so impressed with the Puppy course that we are going to continue with Mona Dog Training and attend Kathryn's Kennel Club class. Henry (and us) thoroughly enjoyed it, challenging at times but so rewarding and great fun too! Highly recommend.

Kathryn is a highly experienced and knowledgeable dog trainer who is willing to help with any dog related issues. Her approach is firm but extremely fair and she is willing to work with any dog. She got to know the dogs and their temperaments very quickly. We took our golden retriever, George, for the beginners training and she has helped us immensely, showing not only an interest in training George but also in his well-being and in how we were getting on with him. Would highly reccomend and we will be taking to the advanced classes.

We first used Mona dog club (Kathryn) about 14 years ago with our first dog and attended training for about two and a half years going through the Kennel Club Good Citizen awards, after losing our dog around two years ago it was without hesitation that we went back with our new four legged friend. Kathryn is incredibly knowledgeable and can get you and your dog working together incredibly quickly, the groups are well sized and dogs (and owners) learn at a manageable pace. Dogs are encouraged to socialise as are owners in an easy going well managed environment. Puppy classes are well structured and without pressure. All in all Kathryn and the club offer a great service and I would (and do) whole heartedly recommend it, it is good for both dog and owner.

I have just completed the 6 week puppy course with Kathryn. My little rescue pup began as a frightened stressed little dog, and in only 6 weeks became a happy, confident participant. Kathryn ' s methods are well thought out and all the pups learnt so quickly. I also recieved really helpful advice on good nutrition and ways to increase my pup's confidence in the outside world. Kathryn uses excellent methods. We attended puppy training at the start of the year, all the pups and owners learned qiuickly. We then moved on to the next class up, and our dog has already won the bronze kennel club award. We really enjoy our training sessions, especially the dog ! I would highly recommend this class.

Bella ( my nervous sprocker) and me as the handler attended Kathryn's classes, Mona Dog Training. Bella being anxious and snarling at other pups gave me lots of advice in the class and also responded to emails when I had my concerns. I felt like giving up after week two but with Kathryn explaining the behaviours that Bella was showing I continued and didn't feel as stressed. The other handlers and their pups were also very understanding. Her advice gave me different ways of handling Bella when out in crowded places. I also picked up tips that I have been able to use with our older dog that to our surprise has made a difference with him too. I enjoyed seeing how all the pups progressed and also could relate to Kathryn's love of Dogs. Many Thanks.

During the lead up to Christmas, I attended Mona dog and puppy training with my Rottie puppy, in our group was a German Shepherd, Bassett, a couple of terriers, corgi, visla, cava poo, and labradoodle. I wouldn’t describe many of these dogs as ‘easy!’ I am unsure there is such a puppy, as they bring their own challenges and rewards. Many of the babies were busy babies, and on occasion, noisy! But Kathryn took time with all of us, advised us, and provided alternatives should our initial training not be hitting the spot. Unfortunately, due to school commitments I can no longer attend her sessions and am sad about this fact, for my furry boy and myself. I would have loved to chance to return and continue to work with Kathryn.

My partner and I took our collie Enzo to Mona puppy classes and he is turning into a great dog full of life and very confident. We walk and take him everywhere because of the training that we got mainly and Enzo listens to us very well. This is my 3rd dog Kathryn has help me with and I recommend her everytime.
