Just WOW, from start to finish Sarah and her team have been absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and highly skilled. Thanks to south coast dog grooming academy I’m now a qualified dog groomer with amazing confidence to which I have now opened my own boutique dog grooming salon which is doing fantastic, without Sarah and her team I would never have been able to have such an amazing career for my future. There is also a fantastic support group for after you have qualified so you’ll never feel on your own. Sarah is a gorgeous person, down to earth and someone you can have a laugh and a joke with, everyone there makes you feel at home. Great atmosphere and training academy! I completed my training with SCDGA in August 2021. Sarah and the team have been amazing, and I cannot thank them enough. They are all professional, approachable, and highly knowledgeable. Above all, they treat all the dogs with nothing but love, care, and respect – the dog’s welfare is their number 1 priority. I have been lucky to groom a wide variety of different breeds whilst training at the academy and with the guidance and support from Sarah and the team, my knowledge and confidence has grown so much over the 20 weeks. I fell in love with so many dogs – I know you shouldn’t have favourites but Suki, Pep, Jesse & Holly - I just love you (and not forgetting the lovely Kobe) I miss my Saturdays at the academy, however we have a fantastic ongoing support network, not only with Sarah and the team but also with fellow students and graduates- all at different stages. Some have already completed their course and others have just started. We can all share our experiences and support each other throughout our journeys. Poppy, my little dog, and I were warmly welcomed and each groomer came to meet us. Poppy had the best trim, it was even and carefully done, and everyone has commented since on how wonderful she looks. The groomers at SCDGA were friendly, attentive, kind, gentle, knowledgeable and professional. I cannot fault any aspect of Poppy’s care and she was calm and relaxed when I came back to collect her! I will be telling every dog owner I know about South Coast Dog Grooming Academy, and Poppy and I will be back there again in six weeks! Thank you all! Beth

I cannot recommend enough! My Chihuahua X Yorkie is 10 years old and extremely nervous. He was so nervous going in and really didn’t want to be there. The lady who runs the desk and the lady who groomed my dog were so gentle with him. They are obviously used to nervous dogs which was a relief! They spoke about how I would like to have him groomed and I felt very relaxed about leaving my dog in their care. He was in there for about an hour and by the time I picked him up he was so happy. Watching him through the window I could see that he’d calmed down a lot and felt comfortable. I could see the ladies were so kind and gentle with him and made him feel at ease. This meant a lot to me. I got quoted £45 by pets at home to groom my dog which I think is excessive for how small he is. Here, your first groom is free and then £10 after that which is amazing! I am so happy with his groom, he smells amazing and looks amazing! Very very pleased! Thank you so much ladies! Will continue to come back! <3

We love it here, our dog Dona always come back so beautiful and fluffy, smelling gorgeous too! And the price is amazing, we like Dona trimmed a bit more frequently and because the price is so cheap we can actually do that! Love it and always recommend to our fellow dog owners.

I did the one day intro to dog grooming. I felt so welcomed and had the best day. I didn't want to leave! The teaching is excellent and great care is taken of the dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either for training or grooming.

Have used this grooming school on three previous occasions for my two Labradoodles. Each time both my dogs have come out looking really good. They also text you beforehand with the time they are going to be ready for pick up. No complaints.

I looked at all the different avenues and qualifications when I decided to train as a dog groomer. South Coast Dog Grooming Academy ticked the boxes for me as it gave a full directive not only in how to handle and groom all breeds and temperaments but it strongly supported how to set up your dog grooming business. This course is the complete package in how to run a successful business within the dog grooming industry. You are totally supported from the start, during and at the end of the course with a postgraduate student support group. The training is detailed but also fun and I enjoyed every minute of my course. I was sad to leave but very excited to set up in my new career. Sarah and her team are professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It’s hard to know where to start as I’ve just loved every minute of my time at South Coast Dog Grooming Academy. Sarah and the team are amazing, they were so welcoming from the moment I enquired about the course, and have been nothing but supportive, caring and fun throughout! I am genuinely going to miss being there every Saturday, but I know that they are always there if I have any queries along my grooming journey. The course has given me the knowledge and confidence to build my dog grooming business and deliver high quality grooms, and I cannot thank them enough. For anyone looking to learn about all aspects of dog grooming, and setting up your own business....this course is perfect, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I used to groom my very curly cockapoo myself but a friend recommended South Coast and we have not regretted trying them out. Scampi has been going there for his 6 weekly groom for over a year now and we are always extremely happy with the result. He looks great and smells wonderful after every trip. The girls there are so lovely and treat him like family. This place is great value for money and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The staff is always very welcoming and professional. The value for money is great and the location very convenient. I give top score to the wash and blow service, my 3 shih tzus come out so clean and smelling amazing. The grooming would be a 4 out of 5 but I am happy with that as it is a school after all and the students are learning the skills. I have only praise for them! They fit both our crazy dogs in at the same time and give them lots of love and compliments on what good models they are. The girls at South Coast dog grooming are amazing with my dogs! They always come home looking great, I couldn’t fault anything tbh. Making the decision to train at SCDGA was perfect for me. As a teacher myself I highly rate Sarah Fowler’s methodical course content and delivery.
