After having bad experience with other training companies I successfully managed to pass my Class I test with Blue Triangle Training at Garretts Green Test Centre. The instructor Mr Neil Thomas have managed to rebuilt my confidence on the road. The company provided me with excellent training and other useful tools like folders, instructing videos and the clip (including instructors comments and guides) with my performance while doing reversing exercise. I think Blue Triangle is the only training company in the region offering reversing exercise on tarmac yard, with the lines and cones exactly the same like at the test centre. The truck was in very good condition. The communication with the office was perfect. The company is clearly focused on the customers satisfaction. I am working as HGV driver and very often being in awkward situations on different kind of roads I find easy to get through as I still have Neil's instructions in my head.

Booked my test with Neil way back in 2021, then decided I wanted to go straight from Car to Class 1 (C+E) passed first time with 3 minors thanks to Neil’s training! Also did my CPC mod 4 with him too and passed first time. Mary is also lovely to deal with too, she’s very helpful and replies back very quickly, they both have cracking personalities and are easy to get along with, this makes the training a fun experience as well as being very professional and informative. From the first call I made to Mary to get information about the class 2 training I knew straight away this was the company I was going to train with. She is so down to earth and very informative and never made me feel pressured to purchase the course. Neil is an amazing instructor very calm but also firm. He made me feel very comfortable and also there is never a stupid question. He took me along the possible test routes especially the tricky ones. Passed my class 2 with them a few months ago and then passed my class 1 with them a couple of days ago. Passed both tests first time around. Neil has been an utterly smashing trainer! Never felt uncomfortable or under pressure, which is always the mark of a good instructor. Unbelievable how cool this man can stay! It's been an absolute joy learning to drive such a big vehicle under his guidance. I have no problem in recommending them to anyone looking for a good lorry training centre. Had the pleasure of speaking to Mary today to try and arrange a class 1 retest. Although she couldn’t help me with what I needed she was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave me good advice and considering she knew she wasn’t going to get a booking out of me spent a good 3/4 minutes on the phone trying to help me out. Well what can I say? The first contact I had with Neil was on the phone outside the yard. Having already closed for the night, both Neil and his lovely wife Mary went out of their way to leave their home and come and see me. Made to feel comfortable and welcome from the onset I booked my Class 2 training with them that night. Now for the training. Neil is one of the most relaxed and laid back people that I've met. He puts you at ease from the start, he reminded me constantly that "I've got this", even when I told myself so many times that I'm not convinced. My biggest worry was the reversing procedure what I nailed on the first attempt, all thanks to the constant reassurance from Neil. I know he'll say that it was all down to me and the hard work, but honestly, a student can only shine if a teacher knows how to move away the clouds of doubt. On the day of my Class 2 test he was more chilled than ever, as if he knew I'd pass, even when I still had my doubts in my mind. Right up to the end though he still reassured me. Thankfully I passed, thank you Neil. I'm back with Neil again next week as he puts me through my Class 1 training and test. Am I still nervous and unsure? Hell yes! But I know Neil will get me through this, he's one cool bean who knows how to bring out the best in his students... :)

Where do I begin? I first started my HGV Class 2 here with Neil after being recommended this training school by my brother and also reading the reviews. The whole process was made soo easy with the help of Neil and Mary, from dates, paper work and times of availability etc, I just sailed through my Hgv Class 2 without any hiccups, bearing in mind this was the covid period and both Mary and Neil did their utmost to get me through the training and test. Next I wanted to do HGV Class 1 training and Neil managed to get me in within a few weeks. I was quite nervous but Neil with his calm demeanour put me at ease. I made many mistakes in my training and some very serious but Neil always stayed cool calm and collected which made me feel a lot more confident. Neil is a natural teacher and the way he explains things makes it very easy to understand and take the information in. Once my training was completed I was very apprehensive about my test and felt I would not pass the first time because of the mistakes I made during training but Neil was very confident I would be OK. Before the test Neil took me out for a drive and allowed me to go over things I was not too sure about which made me feel much more relaxed about the test. I passed my HGV Class 1 in the first go and I am very grateful to Neil and Mary for getting me through both Class 1 and 2 passing first time. Its all due to the way Neil teaches you within a relaxed environment with a positive attitude, praising you when you do well and prompting you on your mistakes. Neil also helped me by taking me on most of the test routes so I was more confident on my test. Honestly before you try anyone else please ring Blue Triangle I promise you will not regret it. I went with blue triangle over 12 months ago for my class 2 license. Today I find myself the holder of a class 1 licence. Niel the instructor took me for both licences and trained me well. Niel has fantastic knowledge of the veichles, the test and Taylor's the training to get you through it. Very patient instructor but doesn't suger coat anything, perfect for me. Blue triangle will always come highly recommended by myself. Thankyou neil for changing my life, my career and giving me the best possible start to my life on the road in a class 1

The only prior experience I had of driving a LGV was in an intensive weekend training course with the test on the Monday. I failed the reversing test so never got onto the road. This training is over 4 days with the test on the 5th day. There was plenty of time to practise reversing under test conditions so I was confident that I could pass that section of the test if I followed Neil's instruction. On the road Neil was calm and clear about what was required to pass the test and would tell me if I had done well or what I needed to improve. We also followed the usual test routes and Neil pointed out any quirks such as inconsistent lane marking where the examiner might mark a driving fault. The result was that there were no surprises on the test either in the route followed or what the examiner expected. I passed (and still cannot believe it) and the driving faults were all ones that Neil had pointed out to be worked on (yes, the examiner did mention at the end that I needed to pay more attention to the left hand mirror!). I would not have passed without Neil's instruction and he is good company on the journey as well.

I passed my class 2 and Mod 4 Cpc with Neil, absolutely amazing place to do your training. Its a small family run business and it's only interest is seeing you achieve your goals. Neil is supportive all the way through and will go out of his way to help you pick up on little mistakes you make before the big scary test day. Also their prices are fair and reasonable, unlike these big money grabbing brokers who take your money and don't care wether you pass or not. Mary in the office is also a star, she helped me from the very first day when I called them up and had no clue how to get started and even reserved me a date to start the course even though they were booked up. Extremely pleased with my experience. Today passed my class1 from 1st time having training from Neil. Learn the reversing in 1h and done it perfect on test. On Blue Triangle every single minute from the time paid is used for you, to learn, no early finish no late start. Neil experience makes you learn easy and fast and believe me you are more confident after. I would definitely recommend blue triangle to anybody considering HGV training. I did fail my class 2 previously but that was all down to me. I still went back to blue triangle for a Re-test and passed my class 2 today. Nobody had asked me to write a review but It's the least I can do for them. The smile on the instructors face after you pass speaks volumes about the care they have towards their students. Mary has also been fantastic and deals with any concerns and queries you may have. I joined Blue Triangle Training to obtain my class 2 licence and my module 4 CPC. I honestly couldn't be happier with the service provided. Neil exceeded my expectations by going out of his way to ensure I was equipped with the tools and knowledge I needed to pass. Neil taught the Module 4 CPC training in a simple way and was constantly ensuring I understood the topics he was teaching before moving on. I was very nervous on the day of my first lesson however, Neil put me ease and emphasised that no question is too stupid to ask. On the day of my exam I had a short lesson recap session with Neil and with his excellent training and support I managed to pass. An added bonus of Blue Triangle Training is the after support you receive once you complete training. I’m hoping to do my class 1 training in January and cannot wait to get started. I sat down with Neil about 5/6weeks ago. He (Neil) took the time out to explain what the steps required were to get my class 2 licence. As soon as I met him I knew he was going to my trainer! I must say that I searched high and low for training companies throughout Birmingham, I felt extremely uncomfortable with them and I didn't have any faith in parting with my money, it was a bonus that the test centre in Garretts Green is less then two minutes away, Neil was very patient, kind and informative. You can tell he has a wealth of experience. I've passed my Class 2 practical test and CPC modual 4 last week with Blue Triangle Training, when I'm ready I will definitely be back to complete the class 1 training.

It involves four days driving and on day 5 you get an hour or so ‘warm you up prior to test’ drive and then the test. Neil is extremely down to Earth. I would like to say a big thank you to both Mary and Neil. They made the whole process for me obtaining my C+E license a pleasure, Neil has an absolute wealth of information and a fantastic way of training. Not once did I feel pressured and when things went wrong Neil would take time to explain to me where I went wrong and what I need to do to rectify them. The location of the offices is on the test routes, so you are immediately driving on test routes and he has the reversing facility where the office is located so there is no time wasted travelling to reversing facilities. As well as giving you advice and good constructive feedback he also asks you where you would like to practice more if your are uncomfortable in certain areas, e.g. reversing & tight corners etc and he will continue with that until you are happy and comfortable with it. Neil has a great ability to make you feel comfortable, which is what you need when training. I highly recommend Blue Triangle for HGV Training needs. Once again a big thank you to Mary and Neil

If you listen and act on what Neil asks of you during your training there is no reason why you can't achieve a HGV licence. I spoke first with his lovely wife Mary, who organised my training days flexibly to fit around my schedule. I encourage anyone to ask as many questions during their training as possible as this I believe will be key to success. Neil will make you aware of any bad driving habits you may have picked up whilst driving cars, he will then help you to undo those bad habits so that you are confidently in control of the vehicle and able to keep yourself and others safe on the roads. I passed first time on 16/08/2017 and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Neil for HGV training.

Done my class 2 with blue triangle and passed first time Neil is a top bloke and his training is spot on and his wife Mary is lovely too so down to earth, honest and relaxed I will definitely be doing my class 1 in the future with them 5 stars isn't enough thank you so much and see you in the future.
