Just recently passed my test on Friday and I highly recommend red rose, my instructor Nigel was a pleasure to learn with, he made it so it was just like driving around with your mate for 4 hours a day. He takes all the stress and panic out of the cab and just makes it a better place to learn. The week flew by. Can’t thank him enough as I’m not the best with people but come test day I was more than ready. The price I paid for everything was reasonable the only down side was the wait between me passing my theory and getting started with my lessons it was just over 3 months but it’s expected with the backlog. When I passed on Friday they even let me jump in the cab with my little lad and take a couple of pictures, a very nice thing to do he loved it. Anyway great place great staff and it was just a fun week. Thank you all!

I cant recommend Red Rose enough, they were absolutely fantastic!!! From the instructor I had (Steve) to the friendly reception staff.. its been a great experience - completely different to 'Enterprise' who I was initially with (money making is all what they were about). Passed my Class 1 today at the first attempt, and I have to thank everyone at Red Rose Training for the help they gave me. My instructor Pat was unbelievably patient with me throughout my 20 hours training, and although he went through several pairs of socks with pushing holes through them with his toes, he always stayed cool calm and collected at all times, which was a bit of a relief. Recently did the full 35 hours of Driver CPC training with Red rose. Instructor Bill was great all week as we had a class ranging from complete novices through to old hands returning to the industry. My instructor was very helpful and very patient and sort the problem I was having and he told me it wasn't me that had the problem it was the agency that I was working for and the contract he said they had chipped away at my Confidence and that was bad they beat me down and made me doubt myself I started slow and by the end I was so happy with the results. I passed my class 2 first time with Redrose, Then after two years I wanted to do my class 1. Due to waiting times I went with another company for my class 1. That was a massive waste of money as I failed three times with the other company!! I lost so much money! I didnt even get out of the test centre. So I went back to Red rose and waited for them to have a free slot. It was worth the wait. My goodness what a massive difference. Red rose got me through my class 1 first time with three minor faults. One minor fault was me forgetting to switch the engine on during a tell me question DUH! This company both for my class 2 and 1 have delivered the goods and when you are throwing your own cash at this, that is exactly what you need. Yes you might have to wait for Red rose, but there is a reason for that. They get the job done. Massive thanks to all involved, I wish I could give you more praise.

Bill is inspiring and because he has actually been a driver he understands the apprehension that most candidates feel when they arrive in the classroom. They handled everything from my medical which is done on-site at their office, arranging the theory test, conducting all of the training and booking the practical test. I can't fault the service I received, first-class from start to finish. If you're a student paramedic or other potential ambulance crew, I'd whole-heartedly recommend Red Rose. I've used two of the other providers in Greater Manchester and neither comes close!

Anthony mesa I found the experience and training excellent, the instructor was brilliant, he spotted the weaknesses and faults and gave me the knowledge to improve on them, the examiner was fair and friendly and the facilities and vehicles were of quality standard, the training was great value for money. Just remember they are down to earth and not there to fail you, they just want to make sure you are a safe driver. Would highly recommend.

I recently my passed Class 2 with Red Rose Penwortham branch. I didn’t know where to start when I first decided to get my licence, but I was recommended to these guys and Red Rose have been exemplary from start to finish, with particular praise for my instructor John. He is patient, but very clear with his instructions on not just passing your test, but actually becoming a good driver. I’ll be going back for my Class 1 as soon as possible. Highly recommend Red Rose to anyone looking to become a good HGV driver.

Red Rose have just helped me through my B+E test. They offered a thorough driving assessment and discussed with me the tuition I needed before taking the driving test. Lockdowns caused unavoidable delays to my lessons and tests - being rescheduled twice - but Red Rose were great at keeping me up to date and as soon as they were able to get back to work my lessons and test were planned in quickly. I have been using Red Rose for my work with young people 16-18yr olds. I have had 8 young people who have all successfully taken and passed the 1 day Construction Awareness Course which has enabled them to go on and gain their Green Labouring Card and then progress into employment. Vicky has always been very professional and efficient with myself. Thank you Vicky you have been very accommodating and patient with all the young people.

I was going to complete my class 2 with them. I did the assessment that was good, also did my cpc that was also good. My reasons for not going with them is the way the lady who books you in. She is very abrupt and makes you feel that like an inconvenience. Also I had re take my theory and hazard perception I couldn't get it for 2 months. I asked to book it after the test, she would not let me. When I passed my test I rung up to book my only to be told it would be another 3 months (if she had allowed me to provisional book for a month after the theory test that would have helped, and if I failed the spot I booked could have easily been booked). Everything else about the company seems great, but maybe some customer service training for the booking staff maybe in order.

I went to red rose with no idea how to get my class 2 driving license. They explained everything in a simple honest and friendly way. That was just as Covid 19 was getting started, they kept me informed about where I was up to in a timely manner, so I never felt as though they’d got my money and then forgot about me. The wagons are all new, clean and safe even in COVID-19 times. My instructor was Nigel, who was brilliant, nice and calm a good laugh, even though he earned his money at times with my driving. Brilliant company! Red Rose booked everything for me from my medical to my practical test & CPC. Any revision material I needed was provided by them. They will let you know where to be and when to be there. If there are any changes they will let you know straight away. I contacted Red Rose in October 2020 and had my Cat C License by Christmas, just my CPC remains which is booked for the new year. My lessons and test were only due to go ahead in March, when these dates were confirmed I asked them to let me know if anything sooner came available. They got in touch a couple of weeks later and offered me a slot for the end of December. So don't let the long wait put you off! My instructor Pat was great. I couldn't have done it without him. If you are making the same mistakes he will keep at you until you learn, but he will also tell you when you have nailed it. Such a great guy with a great sense of humour. I don't think I have ever laughed so much at 7 o'clock in the morning in the freezing cold. Over the course of this week I completed 4 days of CPC online over Zoom with Bill. Back in 2014 when I first did it (with another firm) we all paid lip service to it as we thought it was a load of rubbish and was going to get abolished, so nobody really paid attention in the class however, this week was different. I have chosen Red Rose because of their previous reviews. I did my Class 2, Class 1 and CPC with them. I was really pleased with the training which was provided and how all the admin was handled. They were always answering the calls, being all the way professional, sending/giving all the information in writing and in time as promised. The 2 instructors helped me not only pass but made me a confident Class 1 Driver. As European I found the verbal communications being very clear with everybody (no strong accents :) ) The vehicles for Class 2 are brand new, bought in September. They can accommodate manual or automatic vehicles as well. Bear in mind that Red Rose is a test centre so you will have the reversing test on the same place where you learned it, which I believe it is very important in order to pass on your first go. The lowest priced HGV training with a very high pass rate. I passed all my tests theory, hazard perception, practical and cpc first time under their guidance. The instructors are all great and the time it takes from first signing with them to all tests passed can very quick if you keep in constant contact with them. Make sure they know exactly what you want, they do not presume you want all tests so make it clear what you want and after you've booked phone then for constant updates. You can learn to drive manual or automatic, I chose automatic as there's less to get wrong on the driving test but you're still qualified to drive manual. A++ I can't rate them highly enough.

I attended my class 2 lessons at penwortham under john. If you think that u are going to be a nervous wreck then john is your man . He's very professional ,calm and has alot of patience . A very good instructor with a very good teaching style. He will make u feel at ease straight away. I passed first time . The lorries are top spec as well very nice to drive also automatics which helps. The only point I will bring up is that I rang up to book onto a mod 2 and mod 4 cpc with u guys but your card machine was not working this was on two occasions where I was told someone would ring me back but they never did. So I ended up booking with another company. Over all i would definitely recommend this company and John.

I feel i took alot of knowledge away from this course and was shown properly how to operate a 360 thanks to my instructor Pat. No question was to tedius, how ever big or small he would happily explain in a way you would undertsand and was trained to a standard that on test day I was more then confident id pass, follow his methods of work and cant go wrong. He even went the extra mile to get me contacts to further get a career on the 360 once training was complete.

I approached Red Rose training after exhaustive research both on line and actually visiting several training providers locally. My choice was based on the facilities and first impressions and my gut feeling. I am very happy to say that my instincts have proven absolutely accurate. From a very basic chat with Tammy and Mandy of my ideas and hopes and aspirations upon venturing into a whole new career at an advanced age (56) they advised and plotted a path that was not so daunting achievable and affordable. I started last July the whole process has taken nine months. The support has been phenomenal, from the initial medical through all the practical training LGV class 2 then 1 Fork lift and HIAB. All successfully completed. All the instructors at Red Rose are skilled and all have a knack for getting the best out of you even at the times when you thought that success was a long way away of even an impossibility. A special thank you here to Geoff, Terry, Steve, and Bill without who I would not have succeeded. All of the affore mentioned have mentored me to become a LGV class 1 driver, especially Geoff Davison. As well as all the practical elements Red Rose offer all that you need to be a complete professional driver. To further enhance my employment prospects I have attained at Red Rose ADR hazardous goods with tanks, CPC to attain your professional drivers card. They have also helped with all the form filling to get the correct licences and taco cards etc. Red Rose call what I have done a total training package. I call it a life Changing event. The facts are that after finishing all this training and passing my class 1 on Thursday 12th April I accepted a really well paid job the following Tuesday at a highly respected haulage company. I could never truly repay what Red Rose have enabled me to do. The only thing that I can do is thank them and wholeheartedly endorse them as the premier provider of effective affordable training to the transport industry. Thank you.

After my first lesson I was thinking I'd made a huge mistake and that the recommended 16 hours of training was never going to get me through the test at the end of the week!! However after four days of bad traffic, u-turning bin wagons, changeable weather and were-lemming pedestrians the instructor's saintly patience paid off and I passed first time.

Having done a full week 35 hour CPC training course there recently , I would definitely recommend this training center , it was in a easy to reach location , the staff were nice and friendly , the tutor we had for the full week was called Bill Hulmes and he was excellent at his job , he made the lessons fun and made sure all who were on the course were fully involved in the lessons , the atmosphere in his classes were very good and relaxed and made the training interesting , although I've been driving HGVs for over 30 years I learnt so much and understood a lot of things better while I attended his classes , don't hesitate if your thinking of doing your CPC here , I would definitely recommend it .
