Having bought myself a 17’ boat to trail to new sailing grounds about 4 years ago, I found that the anxiety I experienced when confronted by narrow access lanes and steep curved slipways was spoiling my ambitions to the point where I was almost giving up. After a morning with Alan all that has changed. Through some simple trailer towing exercises and a clear explanation of methods to follow when reversing, I really upped my skills in just a few hours. During my latest trip with my boat to rural Devon just a few days after the training session I know the training has helped enormously. It was a really good investment. Alan tailored the training to my needs, provided uncomplicated instructions, was patient and encouraging throughout. The whole experience gave me the that I will overcome the anxiety that was getting in the way of my trailer sailing enjoyment in the years to come. I can thoroughly recommend this trailer towing training provider.

Contacted Alan and he got me booked in for a trailer course the next morning which was great, with no experience of towing I have to say his training and knowledge and understanding made this experience fun and enjoyable. Alan is a fantastic instructor. Teaches you everything you need to know and quickly picks up on any issues and helps you work on them until perfected. Just had my 2 days with Alan Jones and what can I say superb level of training homed in on my weakness and turned into strength apprehensive on day 1 but by the time I had my test I was confident and assured. Plenty of time to cover all aspects and not rushed was a pleasure to be taught by Alan, the whole process was great from my first initial contact with the lady in the office and constant dialogue throughout, Thank you very much guys you are an asset to the industry.

Just did the towing course with Alan this morning (as a total novice) and it was excellent from start to finish. Alan explained coupling and decoupling the trailer, including some handy tips, before we headed out into the traffic. At all times I felt safe as Alan guided me along, gently pointing out any adjustments as we went along. Then we concentrated on reversing the trailer, which was explained very clearly and I soon got the hang of that. All in all, this is a highly recommended course for anyone new to towing.

Alan was precise with his training and was confident in my ability to achieve a pass on the shortest course. Thanks to this I was able to pass first time without the extra cost of longer training. His instruction was clear and his training videos worked a treat in helping me to learn the non driving aspects of the course. I cant recommend Alan enough, I decided to take the two day course as i had very little experience with towing In the past. Alan was very patient And made me feel very comfortable as he taught me how to confidently and safely tow the trailer in his vehicle. Just finished a mornings caravan towing lesson with Alan. We have had caravans for years but my husband has always been the driver. Circumstances have changed and I now need to be able to tow competently. Didn't need a test but needed tuition to improve my skills and give me confidence. Alan was brilliant, patient and calm and he gave clear and easy to follow instruction. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone wanting to learn or improve their towing skills.
