E. R.I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning with How-2-Drive, and have highly recommended them to all of my other learner friends. I passed first try after learning with two instructors (Colin Phipps, and then Chris Drew). From the beginning, I found it super easy to sign up for lessons, and was pleasantly surprised to be given an instructor within a few days. The app system also made it really easy to book lessons, and keep track of my progress, and also allowed me to see previous lessons and dates when needed.
Throughout my lessons, everything was really thoroughly explained, and both instructors were really patient and helpful, and I never left a lesson feeling confused. A big thank you to all in the How2Drive team for getting me on the road! ^-^
o. w.I would like to thank Abdel Elaabdi for helping me pass my practical driving test yesterday. He is an amazing driving instructor who has helped me become a confident and safe driver.
He was always calm, patient and we had many laughs on our lessons which definitely put me at ease. His adaptive teaching approach enabled us to work through areas that I needed to improve on very effectively.
Certainly I couldn’t have passed my test without him. I highly recommend How-2-Drive and especially Abdel to any learners!

When my husband and I were enquiring about possible driving lessons, we came across How2Drive and from our first telephone call from How2Drive I can honestly say they have been absolutely amazing and very professional throughout my whole experience. That said, I want to take this opportunity to really state my wholehearted gratitude for the exceptional level of professionalism and personal approach shown by my instructor Mark Horne, as he was been truly amazing from the start and has continuously provided me with all the support and guidance to enable me to pass both my Theory and Practical test first time. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Mark to anyone as I truly believe he is the very best when it comes to learning to drive. Mark adapted my lessons to suit my needs and catered for my learning style. I am very thankful to Mark for everything he has done to make sure I was fully ready for my test today.
M. A.I cannot recommend How-2-Drive and Christopher Fitzgerald(my instructor) enough. From the first call being told I was looking at atleast 3 months waiting list only to get a call back in a few minutes saying they could fit me in for some lessons. Chris was great from beginning to end. He was calm, patient and very knowledgeable on just about anything, driving and non driving related, it certainly helped put me at ease. His teaching approach was not only fun but very effective. His ability to give me constructive feedback while continuing to be his usual self created an amazing learning environment and I found that very helpful throughout my lessons. He's a huge asset to the How-2-Drive team so thank you Chris for getting me there.
The app is great, easy to book lessons, let's you review your instructors feedback and check your progress. It's enjoyable seeing that bar fill up 😅.

H. S.My experience with How2Drive has been nothing short of amazing! The entire process of enrolling, booking appointments and communicating with your designated instructor are carried out through an app that is very convenient and easy to use.
My instructor, Peter Lawlor, was superb. His feedback was precise and addressed my weaknesses surgically. He made sure I was well prepared for my test, and as such I was able to pass it from the very first attempt. I was very familiar with the route I took on the day of the exam, all thanks to Peter's classes! Not only passing the exam, but he also helped me greatly improve my confidence, and was a pleasure to deal with.

Murray was charismatic, empathetic, patient lesson after lesson. He explained everything really well even when I didn't understand things he found other ways to explain it. He was very knowledgeable answering all my questions. Very easy to talk to and very understanding about my needs. He tailored every lesson to our agreed agenda. He was very understanding to my Personal circumstances changing with the exam as a student or family trouble I had come up. He took time to make sure we focused on being a good driver and being ready to ace the test. I wish him all the best with his future students
S. H.Had a 2 hour refresher with Patrick today after not driving properly in around 5+ years, I was pretty shot of confidence and pretty anxious before the session started. However, Patrick was very thorough that I felt calm and relaxed. I was pretty astounded about how much better I felt about my driving after the session with Patrick, we covered a lot more than I thought we would and I was very pleased with the results, he was professional and above all a great guy, couldn't recommend him more!

I. B.About 2 years ago I started my journey as driving instructor with another driving school, was a difficult time for me, I felt I was on this journey alone with no support. When I finally started my driving training, my driving school assigned me to How 2 Drive where I met Howard Floyd as my trainer, after my first lesson I knew I had to change driving schools, Howard is like the encyclopedia of driving and teaching a never ending story of knowledge, and that was when I decided to change schools! After passing my driving test I met another amazing trainer, Blair Wilson, who provided me the training for my last exam (Part 3) together with Howard. Blair was amazing, always there to support me, motivate me and make sure I was ready for the real world out there as a driving instructor. Today I can say that I achieved something that only 30% of driving instructors achieved on their first attempt, I passed my final exam, and I am officially a driving instructor! You guys are legends! If you are reading this review and looking into joining the business, you are at the right place, How 2 Drive is more then a driving school, it’s a family where everyone helps and supports everyone!
E. B.Amidst the pandemic, it only took one call for me to secure a booking to do my lesson with How to drive. Very quick call back ( 2 weeks) and customer service from the start. As for my amazing AD Instructor Peter Lawlor, can’t thank him enough for guiding me since Day 1. Very patient in teaching, guiding me on every lesson and gave me massive confidence to pass the test first time. Lots of points,tips to take away now that I am going to be driving on my own. S. S.Chris Read has been a fantastic driving instructor, who helped me pass my test first time with only 2 minors. Chris R patiently fixed all of the bad driving habits I’d picked up from a previous batch of early lessons with a different instructor, and he was great at working with what I wanted to get out of each lesson. Chris R is amiable yet strict, and does a good job of picking up on little things that could add up to multiple minors in a test.
Couldn’t have done it without his help. Fully recommend!

He would ensure that everything we did I felt comfortable and gave me highly applicable advice for the driving test. S. F.I am writing this review after passing my driving test first time with Gavin McGuire. How-2-Drive assigned me Gavin as my diving instructor promptly after calling to arrange driving lessons. I honestly couldn't have wished for a more thoughtful and understanding instructor. Each week we set a goal and reflected on my performance at the end of the lesson. I had no previous driving experience, meaning I was leaning completely from scratch. Gavin was very understanding and patient as I started to become familiar with the car. As we progressed, Gavin would increase my independence, whilst still keeping me comfortable within the environment. Sometimes I would get tired and Gavin recognised this, making sure to not push me over my limit. Above all Gavin made me feel safe and in control at all times. I would and will recommend him to anybody learning to drive. Thank you Gavin!
L. G.Patrick is a family friend however treated me fairly like he would any other pupil. He was always extremely punctual and always kept me in the loop whether it was to confirm dates, times and even prices rising with fuel issues currently. Patrick was always patient, which is a virtue and credit to him. I always felt incredibly comfortable and if it wasn’t for that I doubt I would’ve stuck driving out until I passed, the credit for my pass rests upon his shoulders as much as mine. I would heavily endorse and recommend Patrick to any drivers of any experience level as he is that good at his job

My instructor was Patrick Green was an amazing instructor he was very patient and understanding, he adapted his teaching to what worked best for you and would help and talk you through the situations that you would have to deal with and he was always punctual and if there was any changes he would let you know in advance. He is always helpful and answer any questions about driving that you have. Wouldn't have been able to pass without all his help and guidance.

They both made me feel at ease when driving as it can be daunting when you first start. Overall I have had an incredibly positive experience with How 2 Drive and definitely recommend them especially Mike and John.
N. M.My experience with Richard was extremely insightful. Because of him, I perfected the use of my mirrors. He taught me how to use my mirrors appropriately. I could never use clutch control but Richard spent time with me trying to help me with my clutch control. He was EXTREMELY PATIENT which is so important for me. I passed first time with only 1 minor and that was due to me taking long when reverse parking. The only thing I don't like is the price 😭. Thankyou so much Richard for your help and patience. Whilst I had a few lessons back at home, Mike and Kev were really helpful, and got me where I wanted to be. M. M.Had five driving lessons here and passed my driving test at the first attempt. It was a wonderful experience as the instructor (Wayne) was very patient and taught very well. At the start of the first lesson, he will ask for your preferred teaching approach and stick with that so that it is easier for you to learn. He will help you to identify your weakness and make you working on it by driving through the road. Besides, the driving lesson was not much of a different if were to compare with the driving test. You will not feel discouraged by the mistakes you made because he will talk you through calmly where to improve and motivate you to do better the next time. I would definitely recommend this to every new learners!

D. H.I just passed my test having had Andrew Birch as my instructor. Incredibly clear in his instructions and never once caused me to feel uncomfortable or stressed, Andrew maintained a calmness in his delivery of lessons that definitely benefitted me with my own progress. In particular his demonstration of tricky sections in the test location and little tips regarding reference points and road craft made the learning process enjoyable and has instilled me with principles for the rest of my driving life to keep me and other road users safe.

I started off being very anxious to drive but he took his time to make sure I was confident and comfortable doing everything and I very quickly became a confident driver. If I made a mistake in my driving Chris would talk me through my mistake and give advice on how to fix it for next time which I really appreciated as I didn't want someone who would make me feel bad for mistakes and make me loose confidence in driving.

Sophie is an all round lonely person who’s very calm, understanding, professional yet always up for a fun chat and a laugh which made me feel really safe and calmer when progressing within my lessons. I was always excited and looking forward to my lessons with Sophie, she was always there on time, very flexible when it came to organising my test and working around times with my lessons. Each lesson she ensured I was covering areas I wanted/needed to and I progressed very swiftly.
I can’t express how lovely my experience learning to drive has been with someone who made me feel comfortable, safe and who I got along with so wonderfully.

It is LITERALLY impossible to be in a car with this guy without stepping out a better driver.
The lessons are perfect and every single one gives you so much in so little time.
Side effects include hearing his voice in your head for the rest of your life and being able to finish every one of his sentences before he speaks as they will be in your head like clockwork :)

I recommend Ivony Brito instructor for everyone who wants to learn drive automatic car. Thanks to him I passed my test from first time and with 0 mistakes.
T. C.I can't recommend Murray highly enough! He's really patient and always makes sure you're comfortable, but he'll also encourage you to push yourself (within safe limits) so you're always making progress. Murray has a unique way of turning a phrase, which really helped me to understand where he was coming from and remember things in the future.

B. N.I learnt how to drive from Wayne Bennett, who was recommended to me by a neighbour as one of the best instructors in Lowestoft. They were right. I had failed a previous test and warted to get an experienced instructor that would polish my driving skills to DVSA's desired level. It didn't take long for me to get the desired result due to his teaching techniques that quickly pinpointed my weaknesses and structured a plan to takle them as best as I could. In a few weeks he told me I was ready and I passed the test with 4 minor faults. I wasn't nervous during the test than I was in my previous test. Instead I drove with confidence and enjoyed the whole experience because he got me ready to drive independently, to read and follow signs and to deal with roundabouts, something I struggled with previously, hence not doing well in my first attempt. I would recommended him full heartedly as a driving instructor. Not only is he experienced, he also puts you at ease and makes driving enjoyable. 100% overall satisfaction in his services. I'm now ready for the road thanks to Wayne.

I. M.I’ve just passed my driving test today on second try with only 5 minors. It’s a very happy day for me as with Covid it has been tough and I had to wait a while to get a second test. However, I couldn’t be happier with my instructor Kevin who’s been always very patient, assuring, positive and we’ve always looked forward to a lesson together. Not only was I learning so much and getting the needed practice, we had fun and a good laugh every lesson. He can easily put you at ease. His experience is something that makes him very relaxed and confident in his teaching. I also got very lucky to have Mike sit in the car with us sometimes as he is training to become an instructor. After a while Mike was able to cover some of Kevin’s sessions and get me practice with him. Mike has been doing fantastic and taught me so much during sessions with him. His approach is much more technical as he’s fresh to the training so it was amazing to have the best of both worlds during my lessons. I want to thank them both for all their hard work, time, all the fun we’ve had together on the lessons and for believing in me when I was doubting myself. Mike can make very delicious cookies! I only had Kevin for the last month before my test but he helped me settle into a new car and new instructor straight away in my first lesson with him. He knows how to keep you calm and settled on the road and a very relaxed instructor - exactly what you need, especially if you’re an anxious driver

I don’t think that would have been possible if it wasn’t for Chris’ teaching and helping bring me to a perfect standard for my test. He always made sure to make me feel welcome and relaxed even if I was worried. He made sure not to get annoyed or angry when I’d make a dumb mistake but would work towards resolving the issue. He always had great methods In teaching and was able to tailor it specifically to me to rectify problems I had, for example my clutch control at the start and a couple problems with parallel parking. A. E.After a bad experience with a previous trainer I was left deflated I was struggling with my part 2 which was my driving test after failing 2 times with only 1 attempt left. I search the internet looking at You tube for help on how to pass this test. This is where I found Howard, not knowing he was local to me, only by chance noticing a sign saying Norwich. I was very impressed with his knowledge and contacted him immediately with only 3 days before my last attempt. Howard was extremely busy ,but found the time to fit me in for a lesson. 3 days later I passed my part 2 test thanks to Howard. I had no hesitation knowing this mentor was going to get me through my part 3 test. I have gain so much knowledge as an instructor and this has been all down to Howard and his vast knowledge and experience .I was able to video my lesson which in my own time to go back and reflect on my own performance.
I passed my part 3 test a few days ago and I am now an ADI this I can thank to my mentor and ORDIT trainer Howard . Also How 2 Drive use an app which neatly organises all your lessons in a timetable, saving you the hassle of trying to remember when you next lesson is. Additionally, the app allows the your instructor to give you rating and feedback on aspects of your driving (e.g clutch control, hill starts, use of mirrors etc), this allows you to very conveniently track your progress. B. R.I never got to experience How-2-Drive in person, however this company has been a God-send for me. I have been driving for some time but never passed my test, in fact, I had no clue what kind of driving the examiners expected. Due to a string of unforeseen circumstances I found myself in a position of having only 10 days to prepare for my exam; the intense practice begun. I stumbled across the How-2-Drive Youtube channel and boy oh boy was it informative! Howard seemed like a perfectly nice bloke with a no-nonsense approach to just giving you straight facts about what's expected, not waffling about with irrelevant stuff like many do.
So after a diet of internet lessons and many hours of practicing what was covered in said lessons I successfully passed with just 2 minors and I owe it all to you guys!
I don't recommend doing what I did, however, save yourself the mountains of stress and sign up for professional lessons and let these guys take care of you. All the best!

Howard Floyd's exhaustive knowledge and ability to patiently teach helped me overcome any blocks to learning that can arise from an old dog learning new tricks. To anyone considering training as an instructor I would recommend seeking a switched-on local trainer rather than going to a national chain, and if you're in the Norwich area you probably won't find anyone better and more professional than Howard. I'm enormously grateful to How-2-Drive - five stars all the way!

I explained this to Abs when booking my first lesson and he was really understanding and supportive. The lesson went really well, and I managed a few drives around the industrial estate and even went up and down three gears! Never thought I would achieve this! V.I'd been driving for quite some time before moving to How2Drive, having driven at 3 different driving schools in 2 different cities. After hearing some good stuff from a friend I decided to give them a shot. Right from the get-go, they were very professional and friendly, I got an account set up on their app and was assigned Dominic Nickless as my instructor. Before I'd even met Dom, I was convinced I was test standard and no one was going to change my mind, dismissing the fact I didn’t have a license yet due to my luck with the pandemic etc. To put it bluntly... Dom showed me just how wrong I was. He pulled apart and re-built my driving skill to something that I consider above and beyond test standard so that when the big day came, I passed on my 1st go. If anyone is looking for driving lessons in Norfolk, I couldn’t recommend How2Drive and Dominic anymore. That's just my 2 pennies worth.

D. D.I'd give a six star rating if I could. As an American with some driving experience, I was really nervous about learning to drive again on the opposite side of the road, especially after a ten year gap. My instructor Abdel went above and beyond to make me feel calm and composed behind the wheel. He was patient when I had difficulty learning something but he also encouraged me to keep progressing when I was ready. He came every lesson exuding positivity, and that really set the tone. On top of that, he was incredibly accommodating with my schedule, and in the six or so months that I was learning, he was NEVER late for our appointments (I don't even know how that is possible with the traffic in Norwich). I passed on my second attempt with one minor fault. I don't think I would've felt as comfortable and prepared without Ab's guidance. I can't recommend him enough.

Roger was my driving instructor and he is incredible. Always punctual (in fact before time) and has never missed any appointment even during extreme weather/traffic conditions.
Very encouraging and his tutoring style is unique where he wants me to decide (post couple of basic lessons) what I want to do and accommodates the same in our sessions. However, he ensures the sessions also cover all the necessary bits which a learner should know and has practiced well before he/she takes the test.
In terms of feedback or pointing out areas of improvement, he is honest and will explain in detail how I can improve.
All in all a great experience right from booking my first lesson till I passed my test. Will happily recommend Roger & How-2-Drive (Double Thumbs-Up).

He always paid attention throughout the lesson and he’d spotted all the bad habits I'd developed in the past and try to teach me in the best way. My main obstacle to overcome was my lack of confidence and Jamie has helped me hugely with that, he never pressured me to get more lessons than I thought I needed like my previous driver instructors. Yesterday I underwent my Pass Plus course with Shaun. Prior to meeting up, Shaun called me to discuss which parts of the course would I like to spend more time on, this helped Shaun tailor the course to my needs.
Shaun is a fantastic coach. I emphasise ‘coach’ because he watched whatever I was doing and then critiqued my driving in order to improve it. I never felt uneasy with his direction and teaching throughout the course, even when I made some mistakes. Whenever we needed to discuss a particular aspect I was struggling on (in this case big roundabouts) he would explain clearly what you need to do; why you need to do it; and how you do it. This gave me the confidence to improve my skills in a way that was easier for me.
Shaun taught me several advanced driving techniques needed for the dual carriageway, motorway and even junctions that really stuck with me. I feel confident that I could practice the skills Shaun taught me, despite being with him for such a very short amount of time.
He gave encouragement whenever I did something good and subsequently gave concise critique when I did something that could be improved. He allows you to experience the skill in motion and then gives you the opportunity to improve on the skills that you have acquired. This to me is a stand out skill that Shaun demonstrated yesterday and for that I can not recommend Shaun enough! Thank you Shaun!

I had a fantastic experience learning to drive with Fabio, when I was having a hard time with it he got me through by being kind, understanding and patient. I honestly never thought I would ever pass my test and if it wasn’t for Fabio and his brilliant teaching I don’t think I ever would’ve passed. He always had faith in me and believed in me and pushed me to be better at driving. What a wonderful person and I would like to thank Fabio from the bottom of my heart, thanks to him I am living the dream and am proof that at 44 you are never too old to learn and I recommend Fabio as the person to teach you. I had a lot of ups and downs (and tears) but Fabio was always wonderful. A. B.So....I had a chance to sort my driving out when I lived in London but never got round to doing it. I had around 10 lessons but honestly felt like I didn't learn anything meaningful nor was the instructor very friendly or professional. Fast forward and I'm now 22, I looked around and found How2Drive so I thought I would give it a go. Started off with the 2 hour trial and met my instructor Karlton. The guy is honestly one of the most down to earth guys you can find, he instils confidence in everything you do, to make you safe and has one hell of a sense of humour. I never felt uncomfortable or embarrassed making a mistake, as I knew I would have constructive feedback given to me to ensure I tackled it better next time. I owe him a whiteboard 🤣🤣 but he always drew the maneuvers out for me so that I could properly understand how to go about it.
I think what says it all really is that due to COVID-19 my test was cancelled back in March and only now have I taken it. Despite all that , what he taught me has remained all throughout the period with only very little time in the car, only to translate into a first time pass.
