I came to Hugh as a very confused and uncertain driver having had a bad experience with another instructor. Hugh went above and beyond to help me absolutely turn my driving around in just six weeks. He is incredibly patient and helped me to understand where I was going wrong, how to correct this, and then how to build my skills on a firm foundation in a way that suited my learning style and moved at my pace. I cannot recommend Hugh as a driving instructor highly enough, he's a really nice and patient person and a great instructor.

Hugh is great, listens to you, understands what you need help with, takes time to explain and remind you about things and helped me so much with nerves. I passed my test with Hugh first time. Thanks to his dedication to his job in helping learner drivers go through their lessons safely and to ultimately pass their test. His experience was obvious during my lessons with as he made sure we left not stone unturned, organising the lessons in a systematic fashion to help learners pass their test first time. I found him to be patient in even when he had to painstakingly repeated the same instruction many times. I highly recommend Hugh to anyone who really wants to pass first time!

Hugh was an amazing driving instructor. I went from having never driven before to driving on the A52 in 2 weeks! Despite having to wait to sit my test because of the lockdown, I was well equipped to practice myself over the 4 months I had to wait thanks to Hugh’s teaching. Hugh made me feel comfortable in my abilities and let me move at my pace but still progressing well. He was proffesional and punctual and very knowledgable. I passed first time with only 3 minors so I couldn’t recommend Hugh enough!
