I completed my CBT with another shop and it allowed me to get to work and back, but I felt that I needed more training to be safer and decided to contact Ridecraft.
I spoke with Mike and got a full day course booked in, the course itself was organised well and Mike the instructor is an amazingly educated and experienced rider and instructor. Since the training I have already noticed an improvement in both my riding and confidence. 11/10 Would come back.

What a brilliant and of course professional training school. Had an issue because I chose the wrong moped for my son. That was a geared bike it was a disaster. After a long chat with Mike another session on a rev and go was arranged with Sue (lovely lady) and all went well and he passed the training. He has been riding his Rev and go to work fora month now and has returned un scathed each day. Big thx to the team at Ridecraft.

I completed my CBT today with RIDEKRAFT.
I was a bit nervous as I've never ridden a bike here in UK, but they have boosted my confidence. They are very knowledgeable, friendly group of instructors. My instructor Steve was very patient and reminded me to cancel my indicators 🤭 after each turn when we were on the road. I would highly recommend them. Looking forward to do more training with them to get the full licence.

Did my CBT today and passed. Was very nervous at the start not been on a bike in over 40 years. Steve our instructor put me at ease very quickly. He was very patient but firm. Corrected all my errors and give good pointers and great advice. By the end of the day I was confident on the road doing a good 50 mph. Will be booking full training in the near future. I highly recommend Ridecraft to anyone who wants to learn to ride by professional trainers.

Passed my mod 1 and mod 2 through the direct access scheme. I can't say enough about Mike and the team. Fantastic set up that allows you to test all your skills in a setup exactly like the test centre. What I was very impressed with was they always went above and beyond. I always got the feeling they want you to know how to ride your bike and ride safely. I can honestly say I felt like I got advanced training course thrown in as well, their knowledge and experience cannot be matched. If you are serious about motorbikes and want the knowledge, skills and safety you need to pass your tests and ride on the roads, this is the place. Thank you Mike and the team it was an amazing experience and loving riding my motorbike with confidence.

My husband and I retook our CBTs today at Ridecraft. We are new to the area since completing our earlier CBTs in our previous location. We have 125 scooters and ride them for pleasure, so it doesn’t really make sense for us to go through a full test - albeit we are considering it in case of future change. The setup at Ridecraft was very professional, but also friendly. We both learned useful tips today from the very competent Steve. He is very knowledgeable, experienced and patient. We would both highly recommend their services for a thorough training experience.

I can’t praise Ridecraft enough !! I did my CBT - the first time I’d even ridden a bike about 2 months ago. Excellent instructor that ensured I understood what was required to ride on the public roads. Following that I bought myself a 125 and had a few months independent practice whilst the roads were a little quieter during COVID shutdown. When I felt ready I contacted Mike again and he quickly found me a place on one of his intensive 3 day courses with my A test modules booked at the end of it. Mike is an excellent instructor, serious when required but a great laugh to keep things lighthearted in between. His background of Police riding is invaluable and the skills he has taught me will stand me in good stead for the future. I passed both modules of my full A test this week each with only one minor fault. So in short from total novice to full A licence in a few months and a good laugh along the way too in as safe an environment as riding a bike can be. Very professional 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Decided to fulfil a long ambition of getting into riding so completed a CBT in June 2021 and booked a DAS course with Mike which I passed last week, can’t thank all the instructors enough, this place isn’t a rider factory they want you to be safe on the roads. Mikes police instructor experience really comes through on every day, it’s almost like the bike test isn’t the goal just a by-product of teaching you what you need to know to ride a big bike safely. I can’t recommend them all enough, coming in on days off to get the course completed. Mikes teaching methods really worked for me as an inexperienced 125cc rider in my fifties. He tells it how it is and expects 100% effort - it worked for me had a blast and went from never having sat on a bike to Ducati in 5 months, feel safe educated and confident after Ridecraft

Over moon to say I’m now a biker! Massive thanks to Ridecraft and Mike for believing in me! Starting with very little experience to complete my CBT then DAS course within a month! Well humoured but extremely professional approach to training with them sharing experience that few others in the industry would be able to match. Ridecraft want you to pass and do everything to prepare you for your test regardless of your experience. If you want it, believe in yourself and go for it! A truly honest bunch that do it for the love!

Attended a CBT Course yesterday with Steve as my Instructor for the day. Even though it was my 2nd renewal course I still learnt some new things. Steve was very knowledgeable, had a relaxed style and was a great coach. He maintained his patience even though I forgot to cancel my indicator on a few occasions. Despite the persistent rain I throughly enjoyed the day, it was a great feeling to be back scootering.
I recommend Ridecraft and thank Steve for his time.
B. K.
Had my first ever CBT on Tuesday with Steve, my trainer. He was a very good trainer, and despite my lack of experience or knowledge he made me feel very comfortable with the bike and with the course's training activities. Will be sure to book again for my other licences. Ben

Excellent training by Steve today on cbt, I've not been on a bike for over 20 years but all came back to me with some instructions off Steve. Had a great day and a few laughs down at ridecraft and I would highly recommend training there. I will 100% be going back there for my DAS soon as my theory is passed early July.
Edited today, just been and passed my mod 1 two days ago and mod 2 today both first time. Great training by Mike even tho sometimes he had to call me a few choice words as I was forgetting instructions 🤣🤣. I would 100% recommend ridecraft for cbt to das training. Can have a great laugh whilst also learning. Thanks again Steve for cbt and Mike for das. 👍👍👍
F. B.
Did my cbt today, weather was scorching , I’m not new to riding bikes but I was definitely rusty. They are very through , which is what you want especially if you are sending one of your children out on the road. Rob was very knowledgeable and picked out all my faults and bad habits. I’m going to get my bike riding confidence back on my 125 and I will be back for the training to test standard. 👍 keep up the good work .
j. N.
Fantastic service and great setup. Instructors are really friendly and helpful put you in the right mindset to pass your test. My instructor was steve and without his teaching and great attitude I wouldn't of been able to pass my CBT. Glad I came to ride craft and would highly suggest it for new riders.
A. B.
My son recently did his CBT here and had a great time. At first he was very nervous but got great instruction from Wully and Mark and by the end, he was a much more confident rider. He had a great time and I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone else who needs some bike training. Thanks again everyone.
P. G.
Did my CBT renewal yesterday at Ridecraft with Steve Cox. Really good instructor who knew his stuff and tailored the course to our skills and knowledge. Very focused on rider safety. Facilities are fine. Friendly staff.
J. M.
I did my CBT with Woolly yesterday and what a great day i had. I felt like i was in safe hands being a novice rider with minimal experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to start out in motorbike lessons.
C. W.
Absolutely fabulous training school with no nonsense, tailored training for each trainee with a group of instructors dedicated to making you pass your tests! They are super knowledgeable in the industry, and unmatched experience.
Completed my DAS course with the owner, Mike, and had such a good laugh while doing so. Make sure you apply yourself fully to the course, and you will not fail! Believe you can pass, like they know you can.
That feeling of walking out of the test centre knowing you've passed, and with the look of appreciation on Mike's face is priceless.
If you're looking for a CBT, CBT renewal, or DAS course in Lancashire, look no further than Ridecraft!
S. A.
Had a fantastic experience for both my CBT with Steve and DAS with Mike. The guys, bikes, equipment and area to train in could not be any better. If you want to learn how to ride a bike to your best ability and not just pass a test this is the place to go. Your life could depend on it!

We’ll get your tea and biscuit cos this is a long one.
Bit of history on my motorcycle training pre-Ridecraft.
I’d had quite a few days training on road and a makeshift test pad and had undertaken two Mod 1 attempts. I’d failed on avoidance in both cases. Lockdown came as it did for everyone then my instructor had to close and left me searching for a new instructor.
After explaining my position and my perceived ability Mike took me on and we had a short time training before another Mod 1 in December. Didn’t pass that either my bike control letting me down there.
So I had a few gremlins on my shoulder (I shouldn’t have had) that needed to be exorcised. It was clear that I hadn’t learnt and understood the basics of slow riding and counter steer and a whole bunch of other things. Mike had his work cut-out
So we kept on plugging away Mike not giving up on me and always giving encouragement down the earpiece ....
So long story short Mod 1 and Mod 2 passed in one day !!!
Yes a lot of it is down to us the student (and I am rather mature in my years) but you’ve got to establish a relationship of trust and confidence with your instructor. Mike never gave up. I took the tests full of confidence on that day, I knew what I was doing and that I could’ve taken Mod 2 anywhere I was that prepared.
If I’d researched a little more I might have found Ridecraft earlier. Hopefully this review will help you in your search for a riding school whose results (or reviews) speak for themselves.
Can’t recommend Ridecraft enough if you want sound training and theory on which to start your biking journey then give Mike a call you will not regret it.
A. M.
Excellent training for my CBT by both Paul and Mark. Very knowledgable and able to instil confidence on the bikes very quickly. I would highly recommend anyone to go here if they are looking to do their CBT or additional motorbike training.
W. L.
Completed my CBT with rideceaft. Set up is fantastic, highly professional and friendly instructors. Very safe and usable off road area and on road elements are paced very well. Great kit and bikes to use. See you all again soon for DAS or A2 and thanks for getting me back on a bike after 10 years.
W. R.
Genuinely chuffed to bits with the guys at Ridecraft. From dealing with Sues friendly ways over the phone numerous times to secure my booking (despite our email technical difficulties 🤣🤣)to turning up and the guys putting me at ease with some friendly banter on arrival, which is exactly what I needed!
Mikes an absolute barrel of laughs, with Instructer Rob making me laugh throught the day! I had the pleasure of renewing my CBT with Rob today, who has a great way about him. A Huge thank you to that top bloke and teacher! I chose Ridecraft from reading the website and reviews- and chose them above the rest. Im glad I did. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Thanks for a great experience guys👌🏻👍🏻
J. G.
Great day, enjoyed the CBT course we did on Saturday small groups and many tips shared have previously undertaken a CBT but learnt far more on this course not just riding bikes but a great deal of new knowledge on equipment maintenance and tips for ongoing riding thanks again !

This is a review from my alt-account. Having completed my A2 license with this school, Mike at Ridecraft is a top-quality instructor, and very experienced. I had a fantastic time learning with Mike, and went on to pass both my Mod 1, and Mod 2 first time.
Two years prior to this, I completed my CBT when Mike had just taken over, and the school was known as "North West Motorcycle Academy", it was fantastic then, and is even better now.
Facilities are top notch, you have Makro across the ways for toilets, and the actual on site training facilities are brilliant. The bike's are immaculate, and Mike has some very expensive kit considering it is a training school.
A top notch school, ran by a top notch fella. Could not recommend this place enough. Will be back in two years to do my full A category.
~ Mike Eland.

Fantastic experience, Bursting full of enthusiasm and helpful information. I did my direct access with Mike and Ray. I was nervous at first but they have a great way of putting you at ease and getting the best out of you.
It was a great deal of fun (apart from test day) and I did pass first time.
I am now in the process of doing my advanced with Mike, I would recommend doing further training to anyone as they improve your Roadcraft and riding technique, I have got noticeably more control than many of my friends who have been riding years longer than me.
M. C.
Never even touched a motorbike in my 40+ years. Steve and the team provided excellent training and some good laughs along the way which helps put you at ease. Passed my CBT on the 2nd day which left me feeling confident of riding solo.
They also have a good range of bikes and were more than willing to switch my bike to something a touch bigger to match my size - this helped so much.
They're not a bunch of box tickers either, if you're not ready for the roads they'll tell you - leaving it down to you on whether you come back or not.
Was worth travelling out of town for at the crack of dawn!

I did my CBT with Steve in May 2019 (thank you Steve) and my DAS course with Mike in October (opting for the A2). I have deliberately tried to wait until the joy of passing my motorcycle test calmed down before writing this review. I couldn’t wait any longer.
The bottom line is Mike’s Academy is built on using his knowledge, skill and experience to promote best practice motorcycle riding. Check out his website for his professional background. He is passionate about teaching people to ride safely and skilfully; not just pass a test. Mike is straight talking, giving accurate feedback, and this takes you on an honest learning journey… very refreshing. Be assured, Mike will go above and beyond to help you defeat any fears/gremlins you may encounter on your journey. From my experience, his courses are genuinely ‘client centred’.
I am very thankful that I picked Mike’s Academy and I will be back to learn more!
M. P.
Did my first CBT ever with no previous experience riding a bike, very good instructors and you can tell that they are passionate about what they do!! After this day i am confident and full of knowledge and great tips for getting out onto the road! Instructors are very friendly and welcome with a professional attitude and always there to help!! I will be going back to them to do my direct access to get my category A license!

Went to ridecraft today to renew my CBT. Was with instructor Rob Whyte and he surpassed expectations. He was knowledgeable and màde you feel comfortable and confident all while having a laugh. Have used this riding school twice now and honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. Expertly run by mike and his team. Thanks to su for sorting the booking and cheers again to rob you're a good egg 😉 Do not go elsewhere for you're bike training. Cheers Steve.

Completed CBT yesterday and just wanted to say thank you to Mike ,Steve and Woolly for the the quality of instruction I received.
Delivered professionally, safe, with humour and within a great facility, means you have the best opportunity to learn.
My opinion is this is the best place motorbike school in the northwest - and I have recent experience of a very unscrupulous training provider in the area!
I Look forward to hopefully getting my DAS sorted with them at some point soon.
M. W.
Starting with zero riding experience Mike had me going into both Mod1 and Mod2 tests full of confidence within just a couple of weekends. Had a great time with the instructors at RIDEcraft, professional, easy going atmosphere and Mike doesn't miss any of your bad habits. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the area looking to learn to ride.
R. M. (.
Brilliant place to do your motorcycle training. I did my CBT on a geared bike and was taught by Wully. He was really relaxed and clearly very experienced.
Actually just a great day out even if you aren't fussed about buying a motorbike or scooter.
P. H.
Just completed my DAS with Ridecraft Motorcycle Training. What a great experience,Mike and Steve make you feel relaxed from the start, very knowledgeable, patient and thorough and great bikes to learn on. The best motorcycle training school in Lancashire. Highly recommended. Mike you are the best 👍Thank you guys !!!
Ps. By the way Is my "big"Peter 😉
J. L.
Well organised from start to finish and excellent trainers (cheers Mark for pointing out the local highlights during our ride).
The course was excellent with a real focus on developing skills properly rather than just ticking boxes and the team showed the right balance of humour and seriousness to make the day enjoyable.
Would not hesitate to recommend for anyone looking for great motorcycle training at any level.

Needed to renew my CBT after two years and what can i say apart from i learnt so much from Steve. Steve is very good at putting you at ease and a really nice guy and knows his stuff. Don`t even think about using anyone else use Ridecraft they are fully professional and will keep you safe on the road if you listen to both Steve and Mike , unlike some that i have used in the past that i will not mention. Both Steve and Mike thank you for a very enjoyable day learning. Gordon

First time doing my CBT and passed, thanks Steve :)
The knowledge, expertise and method of teaching at Ridecraft is superb, instructors are down to earth, patient and instil confidence every step of the way.
Couldn't ask for more, would happily recommend anyone taking there CBT to learn at Ridecraft. 5 star service.
K. Q.
I can't fault the service I received at Ridecraft and I now have my CBT.
As I'm only 16, I was really nervous about riding on the road with no previous experience. But everyone was friendly and my instructor Ray was really patient and made sure I felt completely comfortable on the Moped before I went on the road. I went 3 times, once for a full day and two half days which was definitely better for my confidence and concentration than doing it all in a day. Initially, I was sort of terrified, gritting my teeth concentrating so hard so in hindsight, I'm really glad Ray pointed out I should come back another day. Also, we rode from the centre, to my house and then to college so I could see the route I'd use frequently. Really pleased I decided to do my CBT at Ridecraft because they helped me gain confidence as well as knowledge.
T. L.
Had one on one refresher lessons with Mike, great Guy with a wealth of knowledge. highly recommend.
g. b.
A huge thanks to Mike and his team from booking my course to doing my cbt and now passing my category A license, the facilities and training are fantastic, a big thanks to Mike who went the extra mile to ensure I was ready for my test, I would recommend Ridecraft to anyone who want to safely learn to ride a motorcycle.
A. B.
I decided to take my 4 Day DAS course with Mike at Ridecraft after a poor experience with my CBT at another school.
I first got in contact with Mike and it must be said he's a true gent. Went and book my tests as soon as I'd got off the phone and sent me all the details via email. Overall the training was great, Mike is a fantastic instructor, patient and has a cracking sense of humour.
Day 1 was spent getting used to the larger engined bike and then out onto the road to assess where I needed to focus my training.
Day 2 was focused on slow control, and all the manoeuvering required for the Mod 1 test.
Day 3 was focused on Road driving and familiarizing myself with the area where I was taking my Mod 2 test.
It must be said here that Mike knows many of the test areas like the back of his hand and focuses mainly on the tricky parts. I personally found this invaluable because rather than "route training" for the test you are training to be confident with the bike regardless of where the examiner takes you.
The tests are just like Mike and the other gents at Ridecraft explained, unfortunately I cocked up my 1st Mod 2 and had to rebook a extra day as there is a 10 day Mandatory waiting period between retakes. As ever Mike was sarcastic, but always good humoured and supportive. He set about organising the second test the same day.
I passed second time round and throughout the whole experience I've had a fantastic time. Following that second test I went straight out and purchased my first full sized bike. The knowledge I gained from these guys and the fun I've had while training has been well worth my time, it really set me up with the confidence that I was safe on the road.
Thanks to Mike and Ray both who helped me along the way and I'll be back for some advanced riding training soon!
a. p.
Over the moon to say I can now ride any motorcycle massive thanks to ride craft and Mike who made this possible within a very short period of time. Well humoured but extremly professional approach to training . Really honnest bunch of guys and they do it for the love and passion... Absolutely fantasticfantastic training that I passed with no minors at all... Clean sheet..
J. A.
Fantastic!!! We had a couple of attempts at our CBT. But on the last day we had a lovely fella named Rob, who was extremely understanding and helpful, he helped both myself and my girlfriend pass our cbt with confidence! We Would 100% recommend Rob!
L. T.
Had Mike today re doing my Element E and he was calm with me didn't put any unnecessary pressure on me while out , he told me what I did right and what I need to work on , great guy would recommend doing cbt with him.
O. G.
I did my CBT here for the second time and much preferred it to the first place I went to, the environment was open and comfortable. Somewhere to do it at your pace, time isn’t an issue or a limit to them. I recommend them to anyone and everyone in the area wanting to do anything bike related, they are amazing and put you as the priority, making sure you are happy with everything and if your not then that’s fine. The best people for beginners and people who want to refresh their skills and improve them.
D. M.
I have done a fair few CBT tests in time but have never been to one with such friendly and patient staff also the bikes you will use are very well looked after and are great bikes to learn on. I had a great experience and would advise anyone wanting to do there CBT this is 100% the best in Preston.
M. S.
Did my CBT with Mike over 2 days as he didn't think I was safe enough to be out on the road with just a days training and honestly I felt exactly the same. The 2nd day made all the difference with my confidence, it was like night and day, so don't be afraid to do the CBT over 2 days. Yes it will be more expensive but it will make you a better, safer rider because of it. I also wanted to do the direct access for a full unrestricted bike licence and was torn between buying a 125cc for practice or spending the money on extra training instead. I decided on the extra training with Mike and it paid off because I passed both the Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time.
You need a thick skin with Mike on occasions because he is not afraid of telling you off for the mistakes you will make so don't take it personally, always remember that he does it to keep you safe because he cares.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time training with Mike and couldn't recommend him enough, I will really miss my time spent there. So if your thinking of doing any sort of bike training, be it CBT, DAS or refresher lessons, then its got to be the best trainer around and that's Mike at Ridecraft (UK) Ltd.
Hope this doesn't sound like man love cos its not, really its not (May/June 2017)
E. H.
Steve was a great teacher, he explained things throughly, made me feel relaxed and reminded me to have a laugh and enjoy the day. I am American but still felt very confident out on the roads. Great service, friendly folks. Will definitely recommend to a friend looking to get their CBT!
M. E.
I went to Ridecraft after failing Mod 1 twice. It was a total revelation to be 'taught' how to ride properly; it made the whole business make sense. I passed Mod 1 and breezed through Mod 2 thanks entirely to Mike Bentley's teaching. On top of that, the whole experience was just great fun. Ridecraft are much more than 'trainers'; they build confidence and skill by making it all fit together. Don't waste your time or money anywhere else - go straight to the best!
M. F.
I did my CBT back in March 2017 with Mike after not having ridden a motorbike for 25 years. Mike was amazingly patient with me, and I was given the certificate at the end of the day.
3 months later I went back, and Mike got me through the mod 1 and mod 2 tests so I can now legally ride any bike.
Mike devotes 100% of his time on you and your safety, and will give you honest feedback throughout your time with him. There's no BS here. If you do good, he'll tell you. If you cock up, he'll tell you.
And when you spend a solid week of 7 hour days with him in your earhole, you can't help but love him ;^)
100% recommended.
M. N.
Trained last Monday. A great mix of information, patience and humour. Not at all patronising and Russell was a great instructor. Stayed later than he had to as well so we could get the necessary experience. Great day. Learned loads and passed CBT too. Now to find a bike. 100% recommend Ridecraft! :-)

After failing my Mod 1 (5 times due to nerves) last year with another school, I decided to go with Ridecraft
Wow what a difference, they spotted my little gremlins and worked with me to fix them. Mike and Ray are so easy to get on with and there training is straight to the point.
I booked a 3 day DAS course and I left every day more confident and with a better riding style. On the day of my MOD 1 it was given extra time in the morning to practice and prepare for the test. Unfortunately i didn't pass my MOD 1 as I put my foot down and nerves . Mike was so supportive and encouraged me to not give up but to go for it a week later. After another full day of training I went in for my MOD 1 and passed then went onto my MOD 2 and passed that with no problems.
Mike, Ray and the team were fantastic so easy to get on with, they spot your gremlins and work on them. At ridecraft its not about just getting you through your tests but to make you a more confident and better rider. Since day one with ridecraft I have improved my riding and my boyfriend can see i'm a more confident and a more capable rider. Plus I passed my tests and now have a full bike licence
I would recommend ridecraft for CBT, DAS and any rusty rider wanting a refresher
L. W. b.
Having been though the mill of 3 previous so called professional schools, and having had my confidence and body knocked from a accident whilst training in a public car park in Blackpool whilst practicing for my mod 1 test, ( sorry can’t name the school for legal reasons), but I’m guessing most of you will know who I mean, I had all but given up of ever passing any part of the test.
I decided with some encouragement from my wife to try again, this time with Ridecraft, and I can say without doubt, it was the best decision I ever made.
I spoke to mike, discussed my biking past, my issues and concerns, and eventually began my training, Mike took me back to basics, pointed out my mistakes and how to rectify them.
He took time to listen to me, give me one to one encouragement, and his patience paid off, mod 1 passed on Monday 1st July 2019, mod 2 on the 10th July 2019, , on my first attempt !
THANK YOU AGAIN MIKE FOR EVERYTHING
IF YOUR THINKING OF TAKING THE BIKE TEST, THEN WHATEVER YOU DO, AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS MORE, GO TO RIDECRAFT!
T. A.
Passed my DAS for my full bike license today with what i’d class as the best possible tuition I think anyone could possibly have. With mike’s background, right from the off you feel that you are going to be taught by someone who actually knows and cares about the tuition he gives.
Another riding school seemed to offer less hours for the money paid - equally to be honest, I would say an hour of mike’s time is probably the equivalent to two of anyone else’s.
I went to Ridecraft 6 days ago and had never met him in person, this guy has got my absolute respect for the work he did with me and I feel you’d couldn’t find better tuition or a nicer guy.
J. B.
A brilliant day for a CBT and Steve Fox is a great instructor to be on the road with. I've been out all afternoon with him echoing in my head "cancel your signal you plonker!" Needless to say I remember to cancel my signal now 🤣🤣🤣
A. M.
Passed my CBT yesterday with Mark as my instructor, his knowledge and clear instructions made it a pleasurable experience, the whole day was great and I would highly recommend if you are thinking about your taking your CBT.
S. H.
Completed my CBT training with Steve. Really helpful and patient trainer. Whenever I was unsure on something he would allow me to breathe then do it again to build confidence. Both Mike and Steve are lovely, make you laugh and give you enough encouragement that makes you feel safe. 5* trainers! Couldn't recommend them more!

I Really enjoyed my cbt training course being a first time Rider both on the track course and on the open road it was very educational very clear instructions was giving to me which helped me become a better rider as the course went on great job
L. N.
Did my CBT on 23rd and I couldn't have chosen a better place to go. Steve was brilliant very patient but still firm with correct errors. I will be definitely going back to get my full license. Thanks guys!
D. S.
I undertook my direct access course with Mike and the lads from Ridecraft between September and November 2017.
Absolutely brilliant team of guys, an incredible wealth of experience and knowledge in not only teaching the rules of the road and what to look out for in all aspects of testing but more importantly how to be an all round competent and safe rider in the real world.
I would definitely recommend to anybody looking to either start from a complete novice level, or even a seasoned rider looking to brush up with some further training.
R. C.
Mike and the team are incredibly passionate about the strengthening ability of each and every trainee that attend Ridecraft.
No matter what level you appear to be at, Mike will tailor his teaching methods to suit. We also had a great laugh along the way...!
I am writing this review post training and testing... which I past and now have a full unresticted A licence.
Without the patience and perseverance of Mike, I would never have achieved my life long goal. It is testiment to his experience and ability to really teach well, that has made me very pround and thankfull for the whole experience.
Regards
Rich Crayston

I’d like to say a big thanks to Mark and Ray for their training and support on the CBT today. It’s been a great day and their direct, honest and at times entertainingly brutal feedback has made it a hugely enjoyable day. There’s a lot of content to get through on the CBT and therefore little time for beating around the bush so if you’re not prepared for very frank discussion, this isn’t the place for you. If you are then you’ll have a great day with these guys. From not sitting on a moving bike in over 15 years I’ve left with the confidence to hit the road and go out and make the right decisions with buying a bike and some gear to restart my motorcycle career. Thanks very much guys, hopefully see you in a few months for the DAS.
Update following the DAS:
Passed mod 1 with 2 marks, and mod 2 with none. I now know how to be a safe rider and what it is about my riding that makes me safe. Great few days on the DAS and once again some high quality training. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Especially if you’re up for a good laugh while you’re at it. You won't regret going here.

Experienced and patient training for people who want to learn to be a safe and competent rider. I tried a few different schools on my journey to gaining a full motorcycle licence, and would not recommend or go anywhere else. I'm looking forward to continuing further training with ridecraft in the future.

Some people are born to ride bikes. I certainly wasn’t one of them, but having had one when I was 7, then one when I was 16, I thought at 41 years of age I should learn – properly. It was something I wish I had done sooner. The clichés of ‘freedom’, ‘independence’, ‘exhilaration’ are all true, but so are the dangers and hazards that come with riding a bike. This is where for me, Mike excelled. A professional, direct approach of teaching you how to ride a bike (not pass a test), pointing out the reality of hazards and potential situations certainly set me up for an enjoyable riding career.
Mike helped me get over an accident I had – grabbing too much front brake on the emergency stop. I was ready for packing it all in, but spending a day building my confidence up once I was able to ride again helped me gain my confidence back.
Since passing my test I commute 300 miles a week, have had memorable weekends away and ride outs - memories and laughs that will last a lifetime, all the time having a voice in your head helping you to respect the bike and ride safe.

Would recommend to anyone thinking of taking there motorbike test from CBT to DAS.
Mike and his crew work to the book regarding your safety and the understanding of riding a bike. I done the CBT and DAS with RIDECRAFT and enjoyed every minute and learnt a couple of new things off Mike who has plenty of knowledge in bike riding there aint nothing he dont know!!

Would like to thank Steve at ride craft for getting me through my C.B.T, I was here a couple of weeks ago, after the initial quick filling out of paperwork, it was straight into the training, Steve explained everything and would show us himself on the bike beforehand so we had a clear understanding of what we had to do, it was very professional from start to finish and the day went so quick, we then had a road test which was a little scary but after a few minutes I was enjoying the experience,
I've now booked my theory and will be progressing onto the DAS course very shortly, I highly recommended ride craft and would give it more than 5 stars if I could 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just passed my mod 1 and 2 plus did my cbt through Ridecraft, what great bunch of lads, being a novice rider I needed a lot of guidance, that's where Mike came in, kept me calm, had a laugh but most of all taught me how to ride a bike properly so I would be safe on the road, to be honest he may well have saved my life, as thought I could just jump on a bike and ride, Mike and the team really opened my eyes THANKYOU
Five stars in my eyes.
