Simple task of wanting to replace a kitchen down-light, however having found what I was after on the internet I wanted to confirm it was the right replacement unit. I contacted GDL and spoke to Matt who was knowledgable and extremely helpful, who talked me through its design and installation. Customer service and goods delivery, definitely worthy of 5 stars.

I visited GDL in Yate and explained the problem I was having with an outside light. They gave me great advice and recommended a number of options to solve the problem. Nothing was too much trouble for them to help. The light fitting purchased from them, does a great job and at a brilliant price. Highly recommended. First class service.

Nowadays this is the only place I go to locally for anything electrical - there is just no contest. The lads are very friendly and extremely helpful and are trained electricians so their advice is always welcome. I went in today because my shower was playing up. They helped me figure out that the problem was more likely to be with the remote power switch, recommended a couple of options and stopped me from doing something which they considered potentially dangerous. As a result I have safely fixed my problem with a great value, quality product for around a tenner and my wife thinks I'm a hero - if it had not been for their advice I might well have bought a whole new shower, before identifying the true problem - thanks lads!

Couldn't be more helpful, I needed a floodlight which was wired a particular way to allow a slave light to run from it, Matt actually got some stock in to see if it would be suitable, if it wasn't then I didn't need to purchase it. He also spend a more than reasonable amount of time listening to my needs to ensure he supplied what was required. I can't see I'll use anyone else for future electrical purchases.
