We had a sudden and unexpected power outage connected to our fuse box that the electricity board could not fix or diagnose. We had zero power for many hours. Based on his excellent reviews, and the fact he was local to me, I chose HB Electrical. Harry was able to message me late at night and arranged to see me the next day. One of his team arrived at the agreed time and I am so glad he did - the fault was diagnosed and fixed all within an hour. The price was very reasonable too! My family was facing a weekend of no power and a very unusual fault. HB Electrical sorted the issue quickly, efficiently and knowledgably. Will definitely use again. Thank you!

I contacted HB for a full house re-wire with plans to get started within a 2 week window. I had a lot of requirements and can admit I was particular about a lot of things. First contact was with Harry who was professional, knowledgable and quickly understood my particular requirements. Harry got his team on the house promptly. The team was hardworking and always did what they needed to get things done; even when I changed my mind. They successfully gave me 2 outside sockets, front door lights running from an independent PIR sensor, a nice new consumer unit, new extractor fans, loads of spotlights, and beautiful sockets and switches throughout. We called Harry when our electricity cut out, he came around that evening and provided a temporary fix to keep us going and to get the electricity back on as the issue was larger than expected. Harry then returned not long after with the rest of his team and within 2 hours had fixed the problem and we are now back to normal. We have a 7 month baby and the guys have been very accommodating around us, very professional and just generally good friendly guys. Harry has also provided us some advice on issues we need to get sorted in the future but has not put any pressure on us to get them done immediately which is really appreciated.

Hb Electrical came round to move a light switch. Simple job you would think, but no. The previous owners of the house had decided that the lighting circuit, and the switch we wanted to move, was the perfect place to power the garden electrics from, including a huge koi pond. Needless to say, the lights worked fine once the switch was moved, however all sorts of problems starting happening with the garden electrics which tripped the house out and left nothing working out there. Nothing to do with HB, but because the previous home owner had bodged the wires so well, even two trained electricians couldn't make head nor tail of wirey mess that was exposed once HB started trying to fix the problem. I myself have never seen so many cables in a single junction box that was under out kitchen sink! After a bit of out of the box thinking, power was again supplied to my ponds, this time the correct, safe way - not piggybacked off the back of my light switch, and all the lights were working fine with the 6 gang smart switch we had supplied. Thank you all for sorting my major mess out and not leaving me stranded without and power to pond when the problems were not yours to sort. Really appreciate the time and effort your boys put into this and thier dedication to make sure I was left in a suitable manner. Even suggested steps we take next to sort everything out properly after the mess the previous owners (who when we were buying provided sign offs that stated all electrical work was compliant....) left for us to find. See you all again soon when we start to tackle the rest of the electrical problems the previous bodger has left us to correct! Thanks again for your quick thinking, knowledge and experience, most definitely recommend HB Electrical!

Update on 02/02/2022 I thought I'd update this review now that HB Electrical have completed the work at my house. Per my original review, this was a huge job involving complete rewiring of my house, including installation of CAT 6 networking and CCTV points. Harry, Sam, Adam and others at HB Electrical have completed the job to a very high standard. There were a couple of outstanding bits in part due to other building works that were ongoing but Harry made sure everything was taken care of after the building works were done. It has been almost 3 months since the work was completed and everything just works. They've been as responsive to follow-on queries after the job and being paid as they were before. A+ all round for their workmanship and customer service. Book them for your jobs and you won't be disappointed. I couldn't be more happy with the service I have received from Harry and his team so far for a complete rewiring of my house! I had received much cheaper quotes from other companies for this job but decided to go with HB Electrical because of their professionalism and trustworthiness. Harry had helpfully visited the property to assess the electrical situation before I bought it, when other companies just messed me about. I'm super pleased that I made the right choice by sticking with HB Electrical. Sam, Reece, Harry Adam and others who've been working at the house have been great. They're all very polite, flexible and know what they're doing. The site has been kept clean and nothing's an inconvenience to them. I am thrilled with the quality of work so far and expect the finish to be top notch. We recently used HB Electrical to fit downlights in the living room and fit a few extra sockets. Harry replied extremely quickly over Christmas to my checkatrade request with a detailed estimate on price. He followed this up with a visit and the price quoted was similar. Harry was happy to book us in at very short notice and within about a week of requesting. There were a couple of hiccups with illnesses and previous jobs overrunning however Harry was great at communicating this at all times and kept us up to date. Sam and Adam did a great job over 2 days and we were very happy with the work performed and they were very polite. Harry quoted us the same day the job was finished for the make good work which was then booked in the next day for a very reasonable price. Again, Pete did an excellent job of the make good work and Harry was happy to follow up on this and come and check on the work. Final price paid was as quoted with no extras charged. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

HB Electrical have carried out two full electrical inspections and electrical repairs for me in the past. I have found them always professional and friendly. When I recesently needed an electritican urgently I did not hesitate to contact them and they did everything they could to respond and sent someone out within a few hours which was brilliant! I would highly recommend HB Electrical. Found them on Facebook through recommendation on community page. Harry was quick to respond right from the first call. I also found him and his team very professional. On all occasions Harry always messaged at the end of day to check if I was satisfied with the job carried out. Job was to get bathroom exhaust fan replacement and the driveway flash lights. The flood light which was installed turned faulty and stopped working within few weeks. When I contacted Harry about this, he not only sent his men to take a look the same day but ALSO offered to replace with a NEW one free of cost ( upgraded to a bit more expensive model with remote control) .
