Really pleasant experience. Called up to explain the issue and Scott was incredibly understanding. After sending pictures of what needed to be fixed through he gave me a rough quote and scheduled a time for one of the engineers to come by with seven days. The engineer was prompt, and a quick worker who cleaned up everything when he was finished. A really great company with excellent service. Thank you all.

As a fan of exposed brick and wiring I was ecstatic to see the results of the Keith Gunn engineers work. They even left the smashed bathroom tiles in a convenient location for any arts and crafts projects I might want to undertake! I have used Keith Gunn twice in the last few months. The first time was to replace a dimmer and switch which had been incorrectly installed by a previous electrician; the second was to install smoke detectors to make my flat compliant with new legislation. Each time I have been hugely impressed by the efficiency, responsiveness and organisation of the company, and the skill and neatness of the team of electricians who came. The dimmer turned out to be surprisingly fiddly and several repeat visits were needed for adjustments: the team were determined to get it right, and came out promptly and without complaint. I was so impressed I asked them back to do the work on the smoke detectors. Communication has been superb throughout and the company have been a pleasure to deal with. I'd recommend them without hesitation.

These guys were contacts, having been let down by one electrician, and no call back from another to fix a light fixture broken by an accidental punching (yes that can happen). Explained situation on phone, and was given appointment for the day after the next, which is impressive considering trade folk are busier than bunnies in Spring nowadays. Chap turned up on time, fixed the socket and replaced the bulb, and furthermore offered to change others on my property if needed . We have had numerous problems with our lighting in our flat, and were increasingly concerned as to the potential state of our wiring. We contacted Keith Gunn after viewing their website, and Simon was extremely helpful in pointing us to an EICR to begin with. This was carried out swiftly and highlighted concerns and jobs required, with an additional pointer to further investigation required as to a incomplete circuit in the flat. The work undertaken following on from the EICR was again booked and completed swiftly, all work on each visit has been carried out professionally, safely, and with information as to what was happening readily available. You always take a chance when using a new company that you've never used before, and being new to the area I had no local contacts to help me choose an electrician so I went with KGES based on online reviews. The work I needed done included a new consumer unit, adding new sockets, tidying up some old wiring, installing an LED mirror in the bathroom and a few other jobs. After an poor experience with a different electrician I was pleased with my first impressions of Keith Gunn Electrical. David, who came out to quote some work at my rental flat, was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Their pricing was not the lowest but not the highest either. The job did experience some delays, and hiccups with communication resulting in some unexpected damage. Keith Gunn Electrical did work hard on a solution and were willing throughout. We had three ceiling lamps from first half of 20th C, all in fairly decrepit state. KGES cleaned them up, replaced parts and rewired as necessary, and installed them in the house. Chris Harkin of Keith Gunn Electrical has been my electrician for a number of years and he's now a partner at Keith Gunn Electrical. Keith Gunn Electrical now do my electrical work for three HMO properties in Edinburgh (Houses in Multiple Occupation). The latest job I asked them to do was to turn all the lights on because they kept tripping in one of the properties, probably due to a tenant plugging in too many devices into one socket. We called them and they came the next day and resolved the issue. Not much more that one could expect from an electrical firm and I'm glad they left no mess (like others might!). Would recommend them highly and will continue to work with them.
