M. D.Kenny at Ardbeg Electrics was fantastic. He switched over some pendulum lights to flush lights for me and also installed my new fire alarm system. He was very professional and really knowledgable about his trade. He was more than happy to answer my questions about the alarms and explained everything to me about the new system in a clear way. He was on time and prompt with communication. I would be more than happy to recommend Ardberg electrics and I will definitely be using them again in the future for any electrical jobs I may have.

M. H.When we got the keys to our new home in Alloa, we quickly realised that the property required more work than expected. Thank you COVID for restricted viewing times and a home report written by someone who is clearly overdue for a visit to the optician! So, instead of a few minor jobs, we realised that we needed lots of work done, among them on the electrics.
It made sense to have as much of this work as possible done while the property was empty, and in a logical sequence. However, we found it quite difficult to find the right workmen who were capable, trustworthy, available at the right time and at a reasonable price. Many were busy and unavailable until the end of the year, others even failed to reply or show up, but finally we were very lucky to able to arrange a visit and obtain a quote from Kenny.
We had already performed an electrical survey on the property and had found a number of defects that were confirmed by him. It became immediately obvious that he was very professional and knowledgeable, and he gave us great advice and suggestions, so we decided to hire him to do the electrical work. This was a considerable amount of work involving removing an electric fire, repairing some dangerous faults, fitting a replacement circuit breaker box, new lighting, new sockets, new alarms and various other small jobs. Kenny provided a written quote which we accepted, he worked at the property for 5 days, including a weekend, and kept us informed of progress throughout the job. He was available at all times to answer our questions and help us make the right decisions.
As work progressed, there were some minor changes to the scope of the work as hidden problems were discovered, but Kenny informed us of these as they happened and the cost implication (which was minor) before getting the go ahead to proceed. Not only did he do a great job without any nasty surprises, but he also completed the job on time which meant we could pass the keys to the plumber who was next in line.
All this already deserved a 5-star review, but the cherry on the cake was that Kenny had thrown in a few extras that we hadn't thought of let alone requested, and he was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to work with! I plan to do some further work on the garage electrics in the future and I will definitely be using Kenny again. Excellent work, we highly recommend Ardbeg Electrics!

C. L.Found Kenny to be very professional and helpful. He was punctual, chatty and cheery. Put in a new fuse box for us and installed interlinked smoke alarms at the same time. Nothing was too much trouble, took time to explain things to us and cleaned up behind him. When he was checking our sockets noticed one was wired the wrong way so fixed it for us. He also happily carried out a couple of other small jobs whilst he was with us at no extra charge

Kenny, carried out extensive electrical work for us and our daughter. He not only did the complete rewiring in my daughter's house but also all the extensive interior and exterior work carried out in our garden and house. Just want to mention the garden lights look lovely when sitting in the garden in the evening and the stair lights what a difference they make to our hall.
We are delighted with the quality of his work and the manner in which he carries it out. He always came on time and gave very helpful information and advice which we found to be a pretty scarce commodity these days.

Chosing Ardbeg proved a good choice and the work was done in a tidy and professional manner.
A couple of problems encountered along the way (aren't there always!) were handled easily by Kenny and sorted out for me.
Kenny was a tidy worker laying out his tools on protective mats and wearing shoe covering when inside the house. He also wore the now-obligatory face mask when inside the house and was courteous at all times.
An EIC certificate was provided at conclusion of the work demonstrating the level of professional competence involved.
For any future electrical work I would have no hesitation in having him back and would be confident that I would be well satisfied with any work done.

Went above and beyond using extra wiring to complete another job that wasn’t originally agreed upon at no extra cost. Identified safety issue inside house that we weren’t even aware of and fixed at no extra cost. Communication very professional and very quick turn around as a whole. 5 star service.
