Called Phil out to our ice cream shop to identify why a fuse was tripping. Came within an hour, sourced and sorted the problem, charged a fair price with no ridiculous extras that you get with some companies. Excellent overall, honest, integrity and effective, everything you want when you call someone out.

I called needing help with a floor lamp as I would rather repair than replace. Although it turns out they don't repair floor lamps, they were incredibly helpful in listening to the issue and telling me I was most likely using a non-dimmable bulb which is why it wasn't working properly! Great of them to share expertise even though I wasn't paying them to fix. Kindness goes a long way, thank you!

Fantastic service from Phil @ Balham Electrical Services. What a breath of fresh air to have a qualified, thorough, honest professional reviewing our electrics. Rather than come in and do half a job and look for ways to add to the bill Phil came in and was very thorough, didn't cut any corners and then gave us a frank and trustworthy report of the electrics. There was no hidden agenda to try and get more business out of us, in fact he even highlighted jobs that can easily and safely be done ourselves without paying extortionate fees to an electrician to do them. I would definitely recommend him and BES and would not hesitate to call in the future if needed.

I had quite a mess of an electrical issue in my apartment that left the apartment without power. After phoning around a number of electrical services companies I was quite disheartened by the lack of good old customer service. I came across Balham electrical services by total luck. Philip was excellent from the word go. He was accommodating with his scheduling and reassuring over the phone. After two visits the matter has been efficiently and cost effectively resolved. We had an issue with one of our lighting circuits. Philip came round on the same day, sorted out things short-term and advised on getting replacements at a good price. He returned the next day and replaced 7 down-lighters. He was a pleasure to deal with, quoted a very good price and everything is working perfectly. A much better experience than with some of the big companies. Will definitely use him again and happy to recommend.

Our electricity kept tripping out and we couldn’t resolve the problem ourselves so we needed to call someone out. On a Saturday morning on a bank holiday we were expecting it to be a pricey affair. Philip was very helpful and upfront on the phone and arrived within the hour. He identified the problem circuit within 10 minutes and then checked all the plugs to find out which one was faulty. Once found he was able to fix it promptly (with parts on hand). I would recommend Philip for any electricity issues as the price was reasonable and fair (some quotes we had were three times as much) he is honest, and he has integrity. To top it off he’s a really friendly man 🙂

Phil was a legend. He was round our flat first thing the day after we made the call, and explained what was happening as he worked. He quickly identified the problem, fixed our issue, and explained what we would need to do from that point onwards. Today I called Balham Electrical services after losing all the power to our kitchen , including fridge, freezer and cooker . We were so worried in this very strange and worrying time. Our fridge freezer was full with food and we were so worried we might lose everything. After the initial phone call somebody from the company was here within an hour and managed to sort out the issue and get everything working within 40 minutes of arriving . We are so grateful to the terrific service we received today , they quite literally saved us hundreds and hundreds of pounds on food we would have had to throw away . After our initial panic we were so impressed with how quickly they came and got everything working for us again . Thank you, thank you, thank you . We will definitely be using Balham Electrical Services again for any other Electrical problems and would recommend them to everyone as a great company , who really know there stuff and don’t just sort out the problem but explain everything in detail , a definite 5 stars ! !

Fantastic service from Phillip from BES. He saved us literally thousands of pounds when looking for a second opinion on whether our house needed re-wiring. We received an efficient and flexible service giving honest advice even if this means less work as a result. A lighting circuit in the house developed an intermittent fault which, I thought, would be difficult to diagnose - the circuit did not trip, and there seemed to be no reason for it. Philip arrived when he said he would, and soon found the problem. A "by the manual" diagnostic procedure might have taken more time, but he used his experience to locate the faulty wiring quickly. He came over as a friendly, engaging individual and was very fair on price. He will be the first person I call next time I need an electrician.

Fantastic service from Philip from Balham Electrical Services. I had to swap an old ceramic hob for new, and it was a rather tricky job due to the old hob having been glued in by whoever did the job originally and Philip sorted it all brilliantly and efficiently - it's now working great.
