I was recommended to use Martine after an appeal to get a decent, reliable electrician to come and do some work for me. Martin was very prompt at getting out to me too give me a quote and look at the work I needed doing. On the day Martin was very clean and tidy. It didn’t even look like he had been and done any work! I had 3 outdoor double sockets fitted. One that needed to be installed in my greenhouse. Great job and really pleased with the work completed. Would absolutely recommend Martin. Thanks again

Moved to Peterborough recently. My electric shower failed first day of moving in. I was let down by numerous electricians who were full of promises which never materialised and the "we will ring you straight back" merchants who thought it would be OK to ring back 2 weeks later! We contacted Martin after moving into a property that needed a new consumer unit, extra sockets and some old fashioned light pulls removing. Martin explained what he would do thoroughly, was friendly and professional. The work was completed within the timescale agreed and he cleared up any mess that was created. The guys from MDS turned up within the specified time and cracked on with the tasks at hand. In advance we sent MDS information on replacement light/fan fittings we had purchased and you could tell they had done their homework regarding fitting, requirements etc. Disturbance to the remaining house electrics was almost non-existent so life for us could continue normally in the main. Both were friendly and polite to chat with throughout the day. Once all items completed a quick demo as to what had been done (even in roof space) was carried out with and all was working perfectly once a small tweak to the living room switches were made. Everything was left tidy (dust sheets and empty component boxes were used to capture debris etc.) and rooms were hoovered before finishing for the day. Even talking to the office when paying and asking a few minor questions the following working day were dealt with by friendly people who listened and actioned things. We would highly recommend MDS Electrical for all electrical works and would not hesitate to call on them again.

Dear Martin, I would like to say a huge thank-you for your service recently. Sadly, during lockdown our garden was entered, and thieves broke into our shed and stole 2 bikes. We were very concerned that they were disturbed as there are lots of power tools in the shed, and we worried they would return again. We had an old security light in the garden which was not working and no security on the shed. This was a really upsetting and stressful experience for us. Not just because the bikes were stolen, but because someone had come into our garden and been that close to our home, where we were sleeping. On becoming aware of this Martin very kindly offered to come around and fit a new motion-censored security light for us. He ordered and collected the security light we needed and even though he was very busy, he came to our home and installed the new security light for us within a few days. We installed an alarm on the shed ourselves and this, matched with the security light, has left us sleeping much sounder at night. Thank-you Martin for going out of your way for us and helping make us feel safe at home again. Martin has done several jobs for me. He found a fault in a light which was causing all the bulbs to blow, he has installed a security light and a new bathroom light fitting. He has also installed a timer on my oil fired boiler and after consultation provided me with a wireless room thermostat. The thermostat is a great piece of kit and has definitely saved me oil this last winter. Martin is never pushy, he discusses your needs and works within your budget, he is punctual, professional and very tidy. I would recommend him to anyone looking for electrical work.

I would like to thank you for the outstanding work you have carried out just recently, not only for myself but also my mum, Maralyn. I mentioned to you briefly at a BNI meeting that my electric oven was making a very loud noise. I was concerned that it would just stop working but had been prolonging replacing it because I knew I would be having a new kitchen in the near future. You suggested going along to Currys PC World and buying one of their cheaper ovens because they all come with a guarantee nowadays and you could then install it for me, so I had peace of mind. I called you immediately once I had purchased the new oven and you came to my house on a Saturday morning, took out the old appliance, installed the new one and even took away my old oven too which was a wonderful surprise. With regard to my mum, she had been worrying about outside lighting for her house as she is a widow and lives alone. I met you at my mum’s property, you listened to what she wanted, made recommendations and installed the sensor lighting for her. Not only did you do that, you went back later that same day in the evening to check the lights were working properly and that they were activating when they should be and even sent pictures to me so I could see them too. My mum is over the moon with the work you have done for her. It therefore goes without saying that I would have no hesitation in recommending you to my family, friends and colleagues and you are now also doing work for my sister and brother in law.
