I was assigned to meeting various employers in a particular field, almost like "speed jobbing", which was new to me. This is where various firms employ candidates from within the room of potential jobseekers, and possibly come out with a job at the end of the session. I just wish to "thank" Rachel who was the Jobcentre`s Official who kept me informed of the procedure and talking to me, advising me etc. She is a lovely, knowledgeable lady who was in constant contact to help me along seeing the employers and giving me guidance. Thank You.

Its like most job centers desks of advisors....desk top pcs.... some advisors friendly some really cold and arrogant.. universal jobmatch a must to some not to others... fill in your book or dont some want it others dont...just go with the flow...do as your told or lose your benefit .its straight forward...

I love this place, I have made many friends with the staff here, who over the last 5 years have helped in so many ways, I don't think I will ever be able to thank them enough. I truly believe if you are open to finding work, they will try many different things to help you achieve it. My main problem was a massive fear of failing, that once I found work, I would struggle with the environment and have to leave. For the first 3 years I went once a month and just talked to Kath my coach about everything I was worried about, just listening as I processed my thoughts verbally. That in itself I later realised was something she didn't have to do and could have just told me to get a job. After a few problems finding work, I was offered the opportunity to work for the job centre on a 6 week work trial. This was the biggest turning point for, I made a lot of friends in a short time and even more important I did the job really well that I proved to myself I could do it. It will never be easy to work with others, but it can be done with support and no matter what, even now after a year in work, I have always stayed in touch, because it helps me to know I have support always, if and when I need it. Thanks everyone at the job centre in Doncaster.

No one likes going in these places. However it was clean and well organised. Staff are friendly overall and they take a lot of agro.
