Since starting at James Andrews I have been made to feel like a valued member of staff with support provided in all areas of the business. There are no cons with James Andrews in particular but working in the recruitment industry requires drive and a lot of hard work often meaning extra hours are required. You get what you give in recruitment. However James Andrews have reduced these hours to give a better balance of work and social life.

James Andrews is not like any other recruitment agency, there is no form of pressure when you first start to start billing straight the way. You are made to feel welcomed by all the team right from the start and trained thoroughly including going to a training week in a different city, all expenses paid for! Working on a team basis also takes the added pressure that you normally feel in recruitment as you are not working individually and can actually end up billing higher! James Andrews are not shy for hosting and funding social events for all the teams from different offices to get together, the most recent one was a swanky bar in London! Being here for only 5 months and already being promoted just shows how much effort that James Andrews puts into each individual consultant!

My initial months with James Andrews were challenging but from the outset I was provided with lots of support and encouragement from staff at all levels. Initially, I found the job very difficult and many aspects felt alien to me. However, the friendly atmosphere in the office played a large part in helping me settle into the role and I was assigned a mentor who would touch base with me regularly to ensure I was getting on okay. A thorough and structured training programme with the addition of a dedicated training week has created a strong foundation which I have grown upon as a consultant, and a continued agenda of training events are in place to support and encourage progression towards a senior and managerial position. A big factor of this has been the company Month End events which are an opportunity to socialise with colleagues outside the office and celebrate the previous months achievements.
