Grace and the team at Uptown have provided an excellent professional service at all times. Since joining two years ago I have always had assignments that have been not only local but enjoyable and well suited to my skill set. After recently retiring an opportunity to return to work appeared for a part time post. I have never worked for agency and I did not know how things would work out. I have to say I met Grace and Cindy who were very professional in dealing with me. I had no issues with my terms and conditions and my pay was always paid on the correct date. I felt supported and knowing I could contact them by phone or email if I needed to. My contract was extended several times and all paperwork was updated. Very good customer experience between all.

I lost my first job "virginity" to Uptown Appointments back in the mid 1990s after having recently moved to London and the fact that they're still in business in 2019 is a HUGE testament to their success! There are not many companies I can count that have been in business that long (almost 35 years as of today's date), let alone a little ol' temp employment agency in my previously adopted town of Walthamstow. As a current program management professional at a global tech firm in New York City, I'm proud to trace my roots back to Uptown Appointments in little ol' E17 and owe them all my success in my professional adult life. Uptown Appointment's commitment to constantly keep me working back in those days was a true inspiration to me to stay available for work even on days (and some weekends) when most of my peers would opt to stay home. I can proudly recall the jolt of energy I would experience every time I received a call from the lovely Donna (who's obviously not there anymore) every Monday about a job assignment commencing the following Tuesday. Even at that young age, I remember thinking to myself that no matter where the weekend takes me, I must always be on stand-by to receive a call and must never engage in any unprofessional behavior at a client site due to the fact that I was representing Uptown Appointments at every assignment. My constant attitude towards all my appointments paid off really well because I constantly got called almost every week and that is what has, to this day, instilled in me the value of work. I remember thinking to myself that it's not what you can get from an appointment but it's what you can bring to the appointment. If you focus on what you deliver to the client, everything you want will come in short order. This has carried over to my current professional life at my current company where the mantra remains; if you focus all your efforts on your customer (in my case, my product's users), all else will fall right into its proper place and you will be rewarded handsomely. Thank you Uptown Appointments for all the opportunities and life lessons you provided me at a time when I thought all I was getting from you for my time what a weekly pay check. I owe my entire work ethic to you all. And a very special thanks to Cindy Longman for her vision and stewardship since launching back in 1984! I would highly recommend Uptown Appointment to anyone, whether just starting out or a recent retiree. Working with the team at Uptown Appointments will most certainly provide you with more than just work opportunities as they will always do their level best to keep you working. And as long as you maintain a positive attitude, there's no reason why you won't keep getting assignments.

I have found the Staff at Uptown Appointments, Walthamstow, absolutely fantastic. After 30 years with one employer I took early retirement. I wanted to try something new but was not very confident and would accept any role just to make ends meet! Grace gave me confidence at our first meeting. Grace really looks after you, you are not just another person. The staff put extra into it and take care to find you employment - you are matched to new employers and everyone is satisfied. My agency role became permanent and now if I meet someone who is seeking employment I signpost them to Grace at Uptown Appointments with a glowing recommendation and I tell them do this one thing for me, try Uptown, you will thank me you did.
