Of the agencies that I have joined vibe has been the most consistant in terms of offering work at a rate where they do not try and negotiate a lower one! They worked around my shcedule to find what best suited me, I ended up taking on a tutoring placement with the Tutoring Team after doing some daily supply. The team has been super supportive, regularly checking in with me on weekly basis and easy to get in contact with when needed. The issue with the pay is not subjective to who they like- after 12 weeks working as a temp you are entitled to pay of full time staff doing the same job. Vibe will know when your 12 weeks is and up your pay then.

Vibe has been my saving grace in London! They’re not just a teaching agency, but a family of amazing people that go out of their way to make sure that you’re staying well (both mentally and physically), help you to think about places to go on trips for weekends or a few weeks, have a beer with you and be that shoulder to cry on when you need them. The work that they find for you is of the utmost quality and they never fail to deliver. After being with another agency that wasn’t the greatest experience for me, I found Vibe after a few recommendations from others. After reaching out to them, they had found me work within the week. Within two weeks, they had managed to find me a placement for the following academic year in the most perfect school that fit my teaching style and personality. Anyone, let alone a whole company, that can do that is amazing in my opinion. I’ve worked with the green team specifically since my first day with them, and they have gone above and beyond what anyone else has done for me as an employer. They called regularly to make sure that I was ok and or needed anything, found work when I needed it, and encouraged me to be the best that I could be in an environment that was completely new and unknown. Nathan has sent me emails with resiliency articles and videos to watch during the COVID-19 lockdown and was in contact regularly with both the school and me to support me the best that he could. He is always positive and goes out of his way to think about new and innovative ways that he can support the candidates in his team and make sure that he can place them in the school that is as perfect for them as possible. It’s been one of the best experiences working alongside Nathan as we supply for the schools throughout the green team. You’re an absolute legend Nathan! Even though Ben has just come onto the team, he’s been nothing short of inspiring and encouraging. He’s already found me plenty of work while I wait for a flight back to Australia, and is constantly texting to see how things are in both at work and personal setting. I’ve found Ben to be a real joy to work alongside and look forward to working with him even more! Nathan and Ben (and the other agency workers as well!) have both made Vibe feel like the family that’s been there supporting me through my experiences of teaching in London, and make catch-ups that we have even better by genuinely enjoying spending time with each of the candidates. To say it bluntly, Vibe has enhanced my London experience in a way that I didn’t know was possible. And given the chance to do it all over again, I would go to Vibe sooner! Thanks to so many since the beginning: Tara, Michael, Stephen, Zena, Chris, Rhiannon, Anitra, Steven, Sophie, Alex, Donovan and Marta (plus many others whose names will come back to me after this is posted!). All have played an instrumental part of my working life in London these last 6 years. Thanks to Vibe’s proactive stance in always looking at how they can help within the education sectors in London, I was very fortunate to have been suggested for a new role back in September 2018. I am now going on to this Borough Council’s books but will continue to work with the tuition team at Vibe from the other side. I did supply to start with, then blocks of full time work. I would recommend doing supply first to get a feel for a variety of schools in inner London! They are all different and soon you will have your favourites and the ones you are requested back to! Blocks of full time work are great too, as you know exactly where you are going every day and also can plan your next adventure as you know exactly how much coin you have coming in. It's more work, planning etc however more money too! The parties are awesome and these are a must if you don't have a network when you get over to London. I've never had trouble meeting people, but it's nice to spend time with like minded people! One of Vibe's best points is the community that comes with Vibe! Great people that are always willing to lend you an ear when needed and also good for advice, whether it's teaching, traveling or anything else. From the first Vibe party I went to many years ago now, I was snowboarding two weeks later in St Anton with three other top blokes that invited me along after chatting with them at the first party I went to. Needless to say I'm still mates with these boys years later! If you're in London already or planning to come over make sure you get in contact with Vibe! Not having worked through a teaching agency before I figured that there couldn’t be much of a difference between them, but was happy to take my mates advice. However - I quickly saw why they were so highly regarded. From my first enquiry email a variety of the Vibe staff followed up with me before I had even moved over to London. Vibe have been so helpful for me over such a long period of time. Right from my intial contact with them in late 2017 through to now in 2019 they have been professional, helpful, organised and always clear in their communication. They always took the time to answer my many questions. They've given me a few inductions, lots of freebies, got me work every day I've wanted (which cannot always be promised). Although the work at times has been full on with some disorganised schools or terrible children, they've always been quick to listen to my rants or help me find a better school. They're also great with meeting practical needs, e.g. giving a reference for trying to secure a flat, or other jobs over the holiday breaks. Nathan and Freya espeically at the Green team have been amazing, giving me support visits in my long term role, always sending out invites to events (although sadly Vibe HQ is not very central and after a long day of work has meant that I've hardly ever made it to events - try living in West London if you want to be close to events). Overall this is a trustworthy agency, that give you good rates, lots of work, will be in contact with you personally (although supply means sometimes you jump around from team to team not really knowing any of the operators - just the nature of the work), and they are always kind, clear and thoughful. The recruitment people / consultants in the office have taught in most of the schools they place you in so can also give you a detailed low down of the classes and school and staff before you go and teach for the day... They immediately put me in touch with a south African member of the team because I’m from SA originally we have become friends along the way... the rest of the team has been phenomenal too. My consultant calls me every morning to see how I am doing and messages every afternoon for feedback and to see if all went well and I’m happy... there couldn’t be a more personal - caring and better agency out there. They are wonderful at making you feel appreciated and reassuring you that you are doing a great job even on the day’s you feel we’re tough... they help with anything and everything ... no question or request is ever silly or disregarded - they are there for you as a teacher... no matter what. The pay is good and they work with a number of different ways of being paid your salary and run through each option with you... I think they have literally ignited my passion for teaching spark even more since I started with them... there’s honestly nothing I can fault them on... what a wonderful honour it is to be part of such a great agency and team. After arriving in London Feb 2016 I met with several agencies before heading into Vibe with the idea of signing up with a few and picking the best of the bunch from my experiences with them. That idea went out the window as soon as I walked into the Vibe office. I had met with other agencies and none of them had the same feel as Vibe, I immediately felt at home with the office crew and they were the most upfront, relatable, supportive, and honest agency that I had met with... I knew straight away that I needn't sign with anyone else! I have been with them for well over a year now and have had such a great experience with them. They have set agents for different areas of London so you're never sent too far from home, super competitive rates and great schools. I love that even after the "honeymoon phase" of starting with them, I still get several calls a week asking how my week has been, if there's any way that they can make my experience better, and them just taking a general interest in my life... they really do strive to make you feel like a valued part of the team and really push to "get it right" for you, so that you can have the best teaching experience while you're here. Since the office crew are all teachers and they frequent the schools they send you to themselves, they are able to provide valuable insight into what you can expect from a supply day there which is super helpful and offers some familiarity before you even reach the school. They have heaps of get togethers for their teachers and it's such a nice opportunity to get to know the people that are calling you every day from the office, as well as new teachers from around London that you can share experiences with. I have absolutely loved my experience with Vibe and I know that my time in London wouldn't have been the same with any other agency!
