Excellent quote for the job we needed, which was to rip out our very old plastic triple and double sliding patio doors and replace these with modern aluminium sliders.
The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Every little detail was finished perfectly with the doors brought up to floor level and the floorboards even trimmed to fit the doors. Nothing was too much for these guys, who were very skilled and also extremely friendly and pleasant to have around the house. They left no rubbish and the area was pristine when they left. The quality of the doors is simply outstanding.
I would highly recommend using this company for your windows and doors!

Brian has done my full house, doors & window, and I can't recommend him enough. He was helpful, communicative, and not salesy/pushy while we made the spec, and his team was clean & professional during installation.
The quality of the job speaks for itself.

Brilliant from start to finish. Amazing team came out to us, cleaned up as they worked, very friendly and great work. Would definitely use this company again for any future jobs.

We had a Solidoor fitted years ago and recently had trouble with one of the hinges. I left a voicemail with Black and White, heard back the next day and someone came out to service the door the same week at no charge. Always been incredible service and would happily recommend.

Excellent service provided from start to finish. After researching online for a new front door I came across The Black and White Window Co. Brian was in contact straight away and his communication was brilliant, he came to our house and provided us with all the information we needed. There was no hard sell and we decided to go ahead. Brian kept us up to date with the progress of the project. On the day the door was fitted, Andy swiftly got on with the job and couldn’t have been any more professional and friendly. You couldn’t even tell that he had been as there was no mess left behind! Except for the fact we had a brand new front door that we are so pleased with. I would not hesitate using this company again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a brand new front door!

We’ve just had our new Solidor Tenby 4 front door fitted and we’re extremely pleased! The process was so easy from start to finish. There was no hard sell and Brian just gave us all the facts we needed to pick the right door for us. When the guys came to fit the door, they were professional and friendly. They did a great job and were so tidy when fitting it. The result looks great and we’d certainly recommend Brian and his team.

Simply the best ...by far! The B&W completely transformed our Victorian house with care and attention. I have to say that these guys are outstanding!

We just had some more work done on our new home which is why I’m giving my second review. We replaced all the glass in the units in the back bedroom with laminated glass recommended by Brian. We live behind a pub and close to Liverpool Road and although it’s not that bad the noise is more noticeable at night. Anyway since fitting they are warmer and they do make a significant difference with the noise. The glass works particularly well with high frequency noises we have found. I recommend the company because they use the right quality of products and offer great value

We were looking for a company to provide secondary glazing in our bedroom as we moved to a house on a main road and the noise was stopping us sleeping. We rang a few companies and they didn't inspire me with any confidence so we didn't bother. A year later I looked again and came across the black and white window company by accident. Looked at their Facebook page and thought they seemed different. Rang their number and immediately knew they were different. Brian inspired me with confidence from the very first call. He was professional, passionate about his service and generally first class. From that first meeting through to completing the job, they were amazing. They are the type of tradesmen you used to get in the olden days! Where they turned up when they say, they were respectful, they care deeply about what they do and it really shows. They kept me informed throughout and kept every promise. The secondary glazing and laminated glass combo that we had fitted has turned my bedroom from a motorway into a library, you can hear a pin drop. Their install guys were amazing. Everything about this company is first class and five star. I would never go anywhere else for all things window and I'm really not easily pleased but these guys have blown me away !

I have been meaning to leave a review for quite a while now but I never gotten around to it till now.
I have no affiliation with this company and I paid full price for my door.
To start off I would like to mention that I did contact a nationwide business that specialises on doors and windows. I did have a visit from their salesperson and a quote. The experience was poor. The quote I received was marked up by around 100-110% with the assumption that I will put a sign and advertise them on my social media accounts, even though I don't even use social media. After the initial quotation it took a while to get them to stop calling.
I looked online for alternatives and found Solidor, Solidor had a list of approved fitters so I went with one closest to my home.
I reached out and spoke with Brian. We arranged to receive a visit and over a quick cup of tea we discussed what our requirements are and through the website we had a door design and colour scheme already which we presented to Brian.
Brian quickly provided an accurate quote, no fuss about it and no pressure or scare tactics with expiring discounts. The price was 10% lower than the price received by the nationwide company (after removing the mark up).
We next arranged a visit to the showroom where Brian took us around, he was patient, kept notes on what we want, we saw the finished product and all the accessories (letterbox, internal and external door handle etc) and we had a chance to have play around with the doors, the locking mechanism and the overall look and feel of the product we were buying.
We accepted the quote, which was fairly priced and detailed. It listed the door, all accessories, side panels, installation and the like.
Expectations were set, since the whole door and panels are in most cases bespoke due to size to start with, the design of the door itself, to the colours, and the size of the side panels, we had to wait six weeks to get the product manufactured before its fitted, which is more than fair.
We set a tentative appointment for the fitting.
On the 5th week I called Brian to confirm the appointment, he was kinda surprised I called since he had this already planned and set in stone, but I felt it was OK ring and have a chat. He was happy to confirm the appointment date and time.
The installers were Paul and Lee, both happy chaps, smiling even though it was freezing cold that day.
Paul and Lee first removed the old door, no issues there, no damage, no fuss, they loaded it to their van to be disposed off.
Next the door itself was installed and all the trims.
They demonstrated how the door works, the locking mechanism and how its maintained for best longevity.
I did discuss with Paul that I am planning on changing the tiles on the steps out side the door and the floor and he left me extra matching trim (8-10 feet of trim) and two tubes of silicone type sealant/glue they use for the outside, he used double-sided tape on the trims on the inside where the trim meets the floor so I can remove it, replace the floor and fix it permanently with their sealant/glue.
They left both the inside and outside of the house spotless.
I was able to register the keys with Ultion, and the door with Solidor since the guarantee for the installation in its entirety is provided by the manufacturer, regardless if the business goes bust or refuses to help, you can go directly to the manufacturer since the door was installed by one of their approved installers.
All in all I believe the experience from the pre-sales, to sales, to installation was fantastic and I would do business with them in the future even if their quote is marginally more expensive for a like-to-like product and installation.
I do strongly believe in local businesses and family owned enterprises and I do try to reach out for quotes on products and services.
In this instance I recommend them for replacing your door, but I expect they keep the same standards on other projects/work as well.
BR,
Mel
