Great experience! Great couple of games of bowling, pool and table football! Fantastic cocktails including an experimental one. Staff were fantastically attentive and polite. Will definitely be returning for the escape rooms! We both had a Fantastic evening here!

This really wasn’t for me but I can appreciate the effort gone into these escape rooms. Would definitely come back to the bar but not for the escape rooms. Great beer selection I must say 👌

Bowling was a good way to relax at the end of the day - the cocktails were only so so but the staff quickly replaced one mojito that was incorrect. - so can't complain. Shuffleboard was such a laugh.. would definitely recommend to anyone who's listening.

My friend and I, who was visiting from Spain had a brilliant time this evening. We bowled. I have visited many bowling alleys around the world and I must say play at pins exceeded our expectations. Not as a result of the fantastically managed lanes, but the service was brilliant. The stand alone aspect had to be flora. Exceptional service. She was professional curious and she made our evening. Thank you for flora for a wonderful evening We will be back The advid bowlers.

We booked the Subject 11 (Stranger Things) Escape Room and it was a really good experience. The bar staff who served us before our activity were polite and friendly, and although our booking was running late (by about 20 minutes in the end) they kept us informed. The Escape Room itself was enjoyable and the right level of difficulty for three of us who had done a couple of rooms elsewhere, but are not hugely experienced - we escaped with a minute and a half to spare! The slight downsides - apart from the booking running late - included the loud music in the bowling alley outside our room, which made it hard to focus at times. Also the clues on a wall map were tiny and hard to read in a gloomy room! But the clues themselves were well thought out and the experience was worth the admission price.

The place is great and really good fun. From retro arcade games, to bowling and even scape rooms. It is cozy and with a little bit of each variety but great for a fun afternoon with friends. The staff is also very friendly and helpful

Escape rooms are fun and well thought out if a little worn. It's also a great basement bar with bowling and pool. Great fun.

We went to bowling using the Groupon voucher, it was okay, we spent 20 mins tops bowling and even then we were quite rushed as they had another group booked in so I think they need to time each booking well. For 24£ I don't think it was worth it. Felt like a £10 game.

Had a very poor booking experience and found the staff member concerned could not have been less helpful. However, manager got in touch with me and addressed the issue! Staff at the venue were very friendly and accommodating! We all enjoyed the bowling and the Escape Room (Subject 11) was one of the better ones we have been to. Amazing venue and atmosphere, was an amazing start to our anniversary. We did a escape room and a cocktail masterclas both were very fab. Sean who led the masterclass was extremely friendly and helped to make the night a memorable one. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a good night.

Visited play at pins yesterday and was very impressed with the organised approach their team gave to my visit. We were welcomed well and put straight into our game with no time wasted. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. A wide variety of drinks including cocktails and beer on tap. It has two bowling lanes along with a pool table and arcade games. Very chilled, mellow house playlist. Would recommend people in Cardiff and surrounding areas to visit.

Not a lot of atmosphere. For the most part it was empty. It didn't have a lot of drinks that were on its menu but overall had quite the enjoyable time. Lots to do such as pool tables, arcade machines, bowling and even escape rooms.

My boyfriend and I have been here to complete all of the escape rooms, and whilst all of the staff we've encountered are lovely, we have to give a special mention to Eren! Eren hosted 3 out of the 4 rooms for us, and each time he went above and beyond to make our experience an amazing & immersive one, and he is by far the most memorable host we've ever had (and we've done every room in Cardiff, & a few in other places!). Would definitely recommend the rooms there, and even better if you're lucky enough to have him as a host!

Went to Cardiff for a few days with my fiancée to celebrate my birthday and while finding an activity to do on one of the days we found this place. It honestly made our night. We were greeted and got shown around when we arrived which was lovely as we’ve never been here before (I must say from the 5 stars we will be coming back!) We were told that the place is fairly new so that might explain why there isn’t many reviews. It was quiet when we arrived but I can tell that this place is surely going to get really busy soon. Absolutely amazing arcade retro machines, bar, pool table, bowling and even escape rooms! There’s plenty of fun involved and a lot of dining space too. We were looking for bowling but after being told about the escape rooms we immediately changed our mind because that’s something we’ve never done before. My gosh it was fun, it’s definitely challenging but I promise you it’s worth it. We couldn’t unlock the first bit for a long time but thankfully after some tips we managed to pull through, it was sure a laugh! I would really like to personally say thank you to Vicky and Drew for being superb and making us feel so welcome. They are great people, honestly if you’re reading this, thank you for making our evening! We loved your customer service :)

What an amazing night! Planned a birthday party for a mate and friends (15 of us total), had a truly wonderful night. The bowling lane designs are awesome and I really enjoyed the whole venue layout, very chilled as opposed to other bowling places, and such a better price too, can't believe what a fancy place we got for a really good price. Best of all, the staff were really accommodating and very helpful in setting up the bowling, as well as the really patient manager who helped me get it all booked even after a few complications, they really made the night perfect. This is a real must visit place in Cardiff, I'm definitely going back for the escape rooms.

First time but not the last. Good selection of beers and Gins and very helpful staff. Pretty lively atmosphere for a Wednesday early evening. We'll be back soon for a bowling night out with our friends.

I was in tonight for the first time and Cham & Sean made me feel like I had been here for years. Beautiful wee spot tucked in off the main strip. I would consider this one of the musts of Cardiff. If you are lucky enough to get Cham or Sean you are in for great service and a personal touch. Wish you folks all the best with coming out of covid and when I am back in Cardiff this shall be the first stop on our itinerary.

Wide range of activities and a decent price. Bowling lane looked incredible and the escape rooms had a lot of effort put into them. Brilliant to see while we had to wait there was a range of FREW arcade games to keep the kids entertained. Staff were amazing built up the scene well. Can’t wait to go again

An out the way venue however it does not disappoint. There's bowling, escape rooms, retro games, pool tables (with contactless payments!) as well as a bar including a cocktail menu, what more could you want! There's only 2 lanes of bowling, during the week it's usually quiet with full booked lanes on weekends. Escape rooms are enjoyable and exciting for the price. The staff are friendly and attentive and happy to solve any bowling problems however be warned, if you book bowling online, you only get the lane for 1 game no matter how long you use it for, not 1 hour. I fully recommend this place for anyone looking for some fun activities and maybe a pint or two!

Recently visited play at pins. Well worth a go! The staff were very friendly and helpful , We played the bowling, fantastic state of the arc two lane set up. A great location and a great atmosphere. Now looking forward to our next visit to try one of their the escape rooms there are 4 to choose from. So looking forward to that!

Played 2 games, sampled the delicious cocktails (highly recommend) and messed around in the arcade. Can’t wait to come back and try the food and escape room! Amazing atmosphere, brilliant customer service and a great entertainment venue in central Cardiff! We loved the interactive bowling and shuffleboard in particular. Had a fab time at Pins. We went to play the Escape Room "Hostage Hostel" and prior to playing, we had a great time chilling out, having a beer, playing 10 pin bowling and retro gaming. Loved it. And to top it off, we escaped. Thanks so much to Drew for being super accommodating, to Rachel for helping us with the Escape Room and Abi for serving our drinks so perfectly. A great time was had by all and was a great way to spend New Years Day in Cardiff. Thank You.

What a place. Noticed the sign outside on our annual "Christmas Shopping" (all-dayer) trip and had to go in. Luckily they had an escape room free (The Runner, it was amazing) as we wanted to do one but the other venues in Cardiff were fully booked. Staff were lovely, had a wee chat with the general manager who said they'd only been open a couple of weeks, but for all that the place was obviously ready to go. It's also inspired my to write a new christmas song parody "I saw Mike Phillips playing Street Fighter", to the tune of "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus". Tl;dr: get yourself here, the escape rooms are brilliant and decent beers/cocktails, Mike Phillips is a beast on Street Fighter II.

Did an escape room here and bowling and played some arcade games and shuffleboard. The staff were very friendly and we ended up staying all evening. The manager made us feel very welcome and we really felt like we were being hosted. Just walked into this place after a gig got cancelled and we were looking for something more than drinks. We were really happy with the evening. Drinks were also top notch (cocktails). Would highly recommend.
