W. S.We had a training course each day for the week. Staff were lovely and made it nice. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was hot buffet and something different everyday.
I was on my motorbike and was slightly worried about where to leave it but managed to chain it to the railing outside the main entrance and was very safe.
L. P.Had my 50th there this weekend, I completely disagree with the recent poor reviews. I was dealt with from the start in a professional way, from the booking onwards. On the day Mandy was exceptional, friendly and so helpful. The bar staff were friendly and joined in the evening really Well. I would recommend this venue to anybody and we will definitely use it again. Once again big thanks to Mandy. The DJ Mark was also a really friendly lad and helped the evening run smoothly.
j. s.Fantastic place to have a night out whether your going t one of their special nights or a Christmas party nights, the fun starts as soon as the doors open, staff are very friendly, except behind the bar, I don't think they know how to smile or interact, even when your passing compliments or having a joke there is no connection, however the waiting staff more than make up for them, they interact, have a laugh and make sure everything is alright, the food is excellent, and this year was even more so, entertainment is exceptional from the compere to the disco, you leave The Spot, completely satisfied, well stuffed, well drunk, well happy.
M. H.Been to this venue a few times. Beer prices okay but the food they put on could have been better. The curry lacked seasoning and the potatoes were not fully cooked.

M.Had our wedding reception here we had a great time tho a few of our guests reported that the staff were sadly lacking by being rude obnoxious even downright obtrusive...the place was very hot inside with no air con so a lot of our buffet had to be binned due to the heat turning everything...shame really for the price of it...p.s. the advertised d.j. is not free with the room hire
N. O.Great place for a wide range of parties and gatherings. The bars need updating a little. And their choice of a large wine isn't even a small 😂 cheap though.

I went to see the Derby Magic circle who were excellent different magicians coming to your table showing you magic tricks if it's your kind of thing then go along for £7 a ticket and you get sandwiches and chips as well it was a good night. Thanks Derby Magic circle.
