Attended a fantastic ski touring course at the end of Feb. It was informative, very well run and a challenging experience. The equipment provided was really good and the knowledge of course leader Roy was incredible. Learned loads, highly recommended.

My friends and I had a great day out kayaking on the river Spey with our patient, funny and friendly instructor Lee. We enjoyed learning to ferryglide and (in my case - eventually) to avoid trees! Recommend this company for a great day out.

Great experience on River Garry for all ages. We were a group of 9 aged between 11-50. Good wetsuits supplied by company. Clear and safe instructions to follow from team leaders. Most importantly, this was super fun and enjoyed by all. Even the most nervous member of the group. Would definitely do again.

This was the third time we used AOP to hire canoes and kit so a self guided expedition. As always the staff were super helpful getting us launched and packed up at the end. The duckies trip on grandtully rapids I can't recommend enough and Dan and Lianne were great guides for this stretch of the river.

While staying in Aviemore, we went canoeing with an instructor in Loch Morlich. She took us round the loch, and taught us some techniques. All equipment etc provided and we even got a lift to the loch. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a canoeing experience!

Had a wonderful hike in the Cairngorms despite difficult weather! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and got us safely to the summit of Ben Macdui!

Before I worked for this company I booked a 5 month instructor training course with them. Best decision I've made! Great location for all Outdoor activities and the centre is great for outdoor residentials and also a fantastic hostel at a really good price! Free WiFi, large kitchen large dining room. And lounge, washing facilities, drying room and lots of activities to get involved in.

Booked an activity day and distillery tour for a stag do in Aviemore, experience was excellent from start to finish. Despite a number of changes along the way from our side, everything was catered for. Pick up from our hotel was on-time and everyone enjoyed the zip-lining and abseiling despite the very wintery weather. Some of our party were even brave enough to get into the water! We were then taken to a coffee shop to get some food and warm drinks before going to Dalwhinnie Distillery, where we had been booked onto a tour and tasting before being dropped back at the front door of our hotel. The day couldn't have ran smoother and all the staff were a credit to the company. Would highly recommend if in Aviemore and looking for something a little different to do in a group.

Beginners ski lesson for me and my teen. First time we have done this and because of the late season this year due to no snow and it being half term, the other companies were all charging around 200 quid for 2 hours plus we’d have to arrive early at either glenshee or cairngorm to beat the crowds for a ski pass and equipment. Not appealing with a teenager to hoik out of bed. This company sensibly teach at lecht because of these reasons and it’s perfect as no queues and really good beginner areas. They also provide all the equipment and ski pass , so no need to have to wait over an hour for ski hire at the lecht Centre which seems notoriously slow at kitting people out. One woman missed her ski lesson because of their delays in the ski Centre, which is avoided by giving your correct shoe and body size in advance with active outdoor pursuits. We had a brilliant instructor , Liam who was friendly and got me and my son up and skiing pretty quickly. I would highly recommend this service if you’ve never skied before. They make everything easy from booking with the lovely staff there through to getting on the slope. As we were a small group today, Liam noticed my son wasn’t stopping quite right so he gave him one to one for a while to get Him to master it which I really appreciated. He worked out what we all needed all day to improve and it felt more like private tuition at Times for all of us. Brilliant day we will never forget . We even got some of our final goes filmed for a lovely keepsake by the instructor

We had a fantastic experience Sea Kayaking around Arasaig. Zander was an amazing guide with a great sense of humour. Big thanks to Gethin as well for keeping everything organised too. We had a truly wonderful time and I would highly recommend this company for activities!

what a wonderful weekend with a mix of both relaxing at the lodge enjoying the local town and adrenaline fuled activities. we had a large group for a big birthday getaway. with a mix of ages and fitness levels all staff made an amazing effort to include the full party and make sure we were safe and in control. they went above and beyond... and although accommodation was basic .. they have everything you need.. and if they didn't have it the would find it for you. it was clean well maintained. the staff were the right balance of attentive and also gave us out own space to do our own thing in lounge /kitchen areas in evening was like having place to yourself. also sorted us put with great ways to spend the days we were not booked on activities . everyone that came along I'd already talking about going back with a bigger group. thank you

Great little hub for a group meet up and coffee, struggles a little when busy and the food is hit of miss - a shadow of its former glory. Have had breakfast here quite a few times before heading out on the hills it can take a little while to arrive. Nice outdoor shop/rentals below.
