j. g.I had a steak which was one of the best I ever had (I'm French). I had a glass of Malbec to accompany the steak, it was so nice. I definitely recommend this place if you enjoy good food. I will come back!

R. T.Stopped off here on an unplanned trip to Hereford looking for a quick bite to eat and good beer. Cheaply done but a unique riot bar vibe which was right up my street after walking past too many typical chain restaurants and pub grub type places. I was lucky to get seated as even on a mid week evening it was very busy with lots of groups enjoying food and drinks but I didn't feel uncomfortable being alone. Service was a little muddled as I was originally seated at a table which had been pre-booked and so I was asked to move - which wasn't a problem except you order via QR code to your table so my drink order was hugely delayed - 10+ minutes for half a pint seems a lot. Although I was told this was due to a backlog and nothing to do with being moved which is perhaps worse!
Menus were a little confusing due to there being multiple mini businesses within the yard although the upside to this is plenty of variety for food styles, however the entire menu was extremely lacking in vegan options. The sweet potato fries I opted for were absolute perfection mind.
W.Pricey. Vegan arches was ok, not out of this world - especially for £9 - rosemary chips (couldn’t taste the rosemary) for £3.50 and £2 for a small diet coke. Overall, ok food but overpriced for what it is.
n.Went for a wander in Hereford and found this fabulous place. They’ve basically turned a car park into a glorious outdoor eating area with plenty of under cover seating to hide from the rain and patio heaters that will keep the chill off when the time comes.
I had the Katsu Burger which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning as it’s summery and cheerful and the staff are excellent too.

We all loved the relaxed ambiance and the aromas of food cooking.
Food and drinks came quickly and the food was piping hot.
I had a small issue which the Manager dealt with very quickly, professionally and effectively.
Even though the chairs werent the comfiest i would 100% go back for the extremely tasty food, great service and very helpful Staff.
Looking forward to visiting again very soon!
J. R.Great meal out, food was lovely, everyone liked their meal. 1 bowl of chips was a bit cold and they kindly switch them out straight away for a hot bowl. Little pricey but was good food. Sadly you can't order hot food from the bookshop at the moment which was a bit disappointing
A. F.Tucked away just off the city centre, really nice ambience, you can order from menus at The Book Shop and The Burger Shop, along with The Yard bar. Good quick friendly service, I had a lovely vegetarian green dish, really beautiful and tasty, my friend had an egg benedict type dish, again, really nice. Definitely will go again for a light lunch.

M. T.If you love great food this is the place to go. The concept of ordering from all three restaurants is awesome and means that everyone in a group can be catered for, all whilst sitting in a relaxed and atmospheric space. The new dark kitchen is to die for, curry with a British twist that will leave you wanting more; whilst the bookshop and burger shop are up to their usual amazing standard. Everyone has to try it!
A. P.Great for Covid compliance as seating is outside or virtually so. Great service from the Burger Shop staff but the Burgers are not as expected, good quality ingredients but I thought I had been given a childs portion by mistake. The Indian restaurant was closed for a week during my visit which was going to be my choice of grub so I was a long way to come for a "snack". Bag of chips on tbe way home was the answer. Will try again but needs to be a bit more of meal in terms of quantity.
C. C.We've eaten at The Yard as a family through the "eat out to help out" phase and also last week. They were clearly rushed off their feet in the first couple of days, but things are calm now and the food has consistently been wonderful across all three restaurants (we mainly have food from the Dark Kitchen and the Burger Shop, but the Broadbean Fritters are a wonderful starter from the Bookshop). Service has also been friendly and excellent. We'll be back again and again I know!
