Reviews of IET London: Savoy Place

A beautiful old building on the outside with a clean modem state of the art interior. The view at night from the Riverside room is stunning. I believe the conference rooms and facilities are available to rent, you will find it hard to find a better venue in London.

A great place for members to meet, and we are allowed to bring guests. Very civilised, with meeting rooms, lecture theatres and a great deal of history. As a freelance consultant I don't know what I would do between meetings in London if it weren't for this oasis.

Really fantastic space. Facilities are clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Members area is bright, spacious and conducive to working.

Upmarket place for holding conferences and events. I attended a Summit and was impressed by how well organised it was and by the quality of catering. The main conference room is on the ground floor; suitable for a large capacity and with great audio and visual equipment. Upstairs there are several smaller breakout rooms with great views of Waterloo Bridge and the South Bank. It's in easy reach from either Embankment station or temple Station, both served by the Circle and District line.

This place was a big surprise for two reasons. I am an electrical engineer and hearing names like Faraday or Maxwell, I make connections immediately. Secondly, I didn't know the IET heardquarters/building is in London. With this in mind, when I got the email I was supposed to go to the appointment at the IET, I shrugged and scheduled to travel to London for the 1st time in 2 years.
Back to the building. The location is impressive and the place is very well renovated and M-ai trained. Outside it looks classy, but inside it's very much a modern building. If you find yourself accross the Thames from the London Eye and are interested in electromagnetics, take a look at this place, even from the outside.

Had a great conference experience here. Friendly and professional staff and a stunning view of London in the evening.

Great views of the river from its rooftop terrace. Recently refurbished and great conference venue.

Staff are professional, polite and helpful with no fuss from the moment you arrive until you leave, very impressed!

Really good conference venue, with excellent catering. The acoustics in the auditorium are top notch (aided by a pretty beefy set of speakers), so you're never left unable to hear the people on stage. The views from the third floor balcony are nice too (only slightly marred by the eyesore that is the Royal Festival Hall). If I've got one criticism, it's that the lifts are a little slow - but that's really nitpicking
