Original Dating really helped us get through lockdown last year, it was such fun joining events online, chatting to genuine people who were pleasant and interesting. The hosts were always very upbeat and welcoming, can't wait to join another event soon.

Attended an event in Brighton which was well received in a comfortable room we had exclusive use of (Walrus's Underbelly). No matches but made some friends, stayed after and had a good chat with some of them. Host was cheerful, will use again.

I had a great experience with Original Dating. It's much better than meeting people on 'Dating Apps', as when you meet a person there is an anxiety and a human depth involved. The interactions are more real, regardless of the outcome. I was initially quite nervous, but the hosts and the ambience of the event venues and the other participants themselves, made me realise we are all on the same boat. So, yea, it's a great way to step out of the comfort zone, leave the phone behind and try to meet people directly. Lately, the organisers have moved to organising the events virtually through video calls, and I think it's still much better than dating apps. From my side, I give it a thumbs up.

Had a great night at their Chemistry Singles Party at the Happenstance in London earlier this year. There was a really good turn out even though it was a quiet time of year (end of Feb). The hosts put me at ease on arrival and there was a nice friendly atmosphere. Was a lock and key event which, despite sounding cheesy, works well and really encourages you to mingle! Would recommend to any singles looking to meet new people on a fun night out at a great venue and look forward to when these events can take place again.

My best mate and I have bought tickets to real life speed dating events and punked out at the last minute. Being able to do this online, from the comfort of my home was brilliant. The host was super nice, and we all had a good laugh as a group at the end of the event. Massive thumbs up!

Zoom setup during Corona is good, half of the ladies who were supposed to join didn't turn up, they can't control that so no biggie, the people I spoke to were wonderful and I had a plan for matches. Tara, who was hosting, said she would unlock the matching process now so people could mark their dates as yes, friend or no and then to see the results for tomorrow. It's about 3 hours later and I'm unable to do anything. I've emailed their support but they don't operate after hours. **Update** Service was unlocked in the morning, not really sure what went wrong but Customer support asked me to remove this review after unlocking. I've changed it from a 2 star to a 3 star.

I attended a lock and key event. I was quite disappointed in it due to the lack of structure (you get given a lock or key, and a bar full of singles, and that is literally it), and also because it was so busy I could barely move, so mingling was very hard. I wrote to the company to share my feedback. I was told the venue has capacity for 500, and only 300 attended. Since almost half the venue was closed off, I find that disingenuous. I also asked for a refund, since I didn't meet anyone I wanted to see again. OD state they will provide a refund if you do not get any matches. But I was told I would not be provided with one as the event went ahead as planned. I'm quite disappointed in the service as I thought this was a good company, and would caution against the lock and key parties if you want anything more than just going to a busy bar. But, I will caveat this by saying that I attended a separate speed dating event on a different evening, where I met someone great, so I recommend those whole-heartedly. The review I'm giving is based on what I'd consider to be pretty poor customer service.

I went to one event last year and had a great time. It was well-organised and I found it a really refreshing change to the usual night out where you just talk to the usual mates and seldom meet anyone new. Great way to flex your social skills and I would highly recommend that any singles out there give it a go!

This company is totally awesome the staff are super friendly and really encouraging your guaranteed to have a great evening with this company because of the genuine care and effort the staff members put into ensuring their guests are well looked after. The padlock parties are really good too, I would highly recommend this organisation having previously worked for one of their competitors I can easily say that their venues are really good as well as their activity choices, if you want to have a great evening Original Dating will not disappoint 😃.

I've been to two events, one in a bar, and one virtually during lockdown. Both were really well organised and a lot of fun! I particularly enjoyed the virtual version, as I could do it from home, drink my own beer and just generally felt more relaxed. It's a good way to meet new people and have interesting chats.

I’ve been to quite a few of their events now and every time It’s been so much fun. So nice to meet new people and make new friends. Meeting real people these days is so hard what with the ease of online dating, and it’s so much nicer to meet someone in person before you judge them from a photo!

Stuart hosts the best speed dating events in London. Great choice of venues and awesome humour providing a relaxed and intimate setting to get to know your date. The events are fun and well organised. Andrew does a great job behind the scenes in making sure the events are well balanced. Having tried some of the alternative options I would go as far as saying that Original Dating's events are better organised and more professional. I recently enjoyed the virtual dating option too..great fun.

Extremely well organised event, the Hotel Chocolat venue was genius. It was the most pleasurable singles social I’ve been on by far. I met a lovely group of people. All the staff at Hotel Chocolat were warm and friendly. The chocolate knowledge gained and the tastings were perfect. Stuart the Original Dating host for that afternoon was welcoming and made sure our time there was fun and memorable. I highly recommend the experience.

I went to one of Original Dating's speed dating events in November, at Dion, with my two housemates. We decided to go just for a bit of fun, and the event definitely delivered. The central London venue was super nice, and the evening was fantastically well organised and hosted. We met so many people and it's much better than app dating, as you can actually get a sense of someone in the four minute chats, rather than trying to guess from online messages. I'd love to try Dating Against Humanity, which sounds hilarious, but I've been seeing one of the guys I met at speed dating for the past three months, so I'll have to give that one a miss...! Highly recommend these events!

The Mixeo app is great for reducing time to match and the events are always professionally run. But most of all they are a lot of fun. I've been to events run by other companies and can strongly recommend Original Dating nights and some of the better ones.

At the very worst it's a great night out, meeting a bunch of people you would perhaps not have the opportunity to talk to in real life. At best? Well who knows! I would highly recommend this organisation. It was low pressure, and not nearly as scary or awkward as I had imagined while walking up to the front door... Unfortunately no one can guarantee that you will click with anyone you meet, but I do think Original's events give you some of the best chances.
